FX-Audio 03 - Transform your digital streaming to sound more analog - great for vintage HiFi gear

If you love streaming music but would like to get rid of that harsh digital sound we have a little tip for you :).
You can buy the cheap little Chinese tube pre-amp FX-Audio 03 anywhere online, switch the included tubes for General Electric JAN 5654W, switch the OP-amps for the BURSON AUDIO SUPREME SOUND OPAMP V5i Dual OPA Hybrid DIP8 (you need a pair of 2) and insert the FX-Audio 03 between your digital streaming device and your amp/receiver. Then you get a very nice and warm sounding streaming setup that can compete with high end equipment way more expensive..
I use a Google Chromecast Audio for streaming, a modified FX Audio 03 Tube pre-amp, a refurbished Pioneer SX-1010 vintage receiver and a set of vintage Pioneer HPM-100 speakers.. The FX-Audio however can be used in any setup..
You need:
- FX Audio Tube-03 (Tube pre-amp)
- New tubes: General Electric JAN 5654W (the included tubes with the pre-amp cannot be recommended)
- New OP Amps for the FX-Audio 03 (almost any upgrade is welcomed but I use the Burson Audio V5i). You can find a lot of UA-cam guides on how to change the OP Amps. It is a very easy job.
