I hoped that you'd actually compare the 3 MSFS 2020 versions with each other, what's the point of comparing with a different package?
For helping people decide what pricing option they want based upon the content you get with each?
to be fair this isn't a video about comparing the different versions of MFS. It's about why different versions are priced the way they are. It's the right thing to do to compare them to other competitor.
I was looking for a video to compare the differences of the msfs and somehow I got this.
For help me decide if its worth enought to make me buy expensive for better stuff i was expecting.

With the $120 variant, there are more airports + aircraft. Aircraft usually costs a lot and therefore the mention.

@@ballisticmallard2125 because you buy premium dosent mean ulll get better graphics, ull just get access to hand crafted airports like san francisco instead of it being default generated by the game, the reason u have a bad render in NY or u seem to notice that ur graphics are worse than videos online thats because ur wifi isnt strong enough. The better the wifi, the better the building quality and texture, meaning the shadows will be more defined, and everything will look mroe realistic

Yes, you should be able to. As there are 37,000 Airports, these hand crafted Airports which are not on the list under Standard Edition would function as a regular airport, but with not many details.

Here we are 3 years later, where 2020 premium deluxe can be purchased for $70, but many of us spend $50-80 per aircraft to gain more immersion and realism. Will be interesting to see what msfs 2024 brings about.
I don't think there's a right or wrong answer on which version to buy, there's various versions for a percentage of consumers preference. Personally for me the premium deluxe is a must since it's too good to pass up given the aircraft's & handcrafted airports included.
I had my msfs 2020 for about a month and now I can't even get it to load it freezes every time I try 👎👎👎
xplane have a lot of free addon airport and it's amazing like's payware version, you don't need to boungt everythime a payware scenary or mesh

They will support this project big time. MSFS 2020 is a long project where funding is required for a long term. This is a developmental project, meaning, it keeps growing and getting better.

I didnt pull the plug on deluxe or premium and got standard instead. i believe 3rd party developers fsdreanteam, orbx, flightbeam, latinvfr...etc sceneries will be better than the handcrafted one.
So the price has been doubled for getting 30 planes instead of 20 and 40 airports instead of 30. Also the airports are not as detailed as 3rd party airports. And payware aircraft have more system depth or are even study level. This is not the case with the default planes in msfs. A simmer, who flies one specific study level aircraft like PMDG should go for standard.
Not worth for Asian players due to majority premium are concentrated at US , Oceania and European region. However the handcrafted airport airports is much worth the bucks.

You can use 37,000 Airports Worldwide. Based on which Edition you purchased, you would have those handcrafted airports.
You absolutely do NOT have to spend 1300 dollars to make X-Plane 11 look like it's in the same ballpark as MSFS. You don't need to spend anything like that much.
I'm with you, MSFS represents great value and the sim has the potential to revolutionize not just this genre, but gaming itself in many ways. And the out of the box package is highly attractive for the price they are asking when you are a flight simmer who knows what you should normally expect from such a release. I'm 100% with you on all that.
But it resolutely does not cost 1300 bucks to get X-Plane up to snuff. Most of the stuff you mentioned there can be done for free in X-Plane, and done to a high standard. Mesh payware not required. Ortho payware not required. Autogen payware not required. Many of the major airports are free and a high standard. No, these things are not MSFS quality but you wouldn't expect them to be. This sim is 5 years old. Back when it was released, we were as besotted by it as we are by MSFS today.
X-Plane is the most open platform in flight simming, can be run completely free beyond the cost of the initial simulator if you want, and to a standard which, until MSFS was announced, impressed the hell out of everyone.

I have always enjoyed flight sim games but sadly this one does not have my favorite airplane i live by the ocean and always like to take off from one of my local airports that is on the water i know we have one plane that can but i hope i do not have to pay a bunch for the plane i do want later on but i might just go for deluxe for now lol

This was the train of thought I used to decide on the premium deluxe.
I "fly" small GA aircraft, low & slow, so I figured:
$60 FS2020 +
$30 Carenado C172N +
$30 Carenado Cirrus SR22
=$120
It was a quick decision for me...

Low & slow in SoCal and west coast, wonder what the Airports (out of the Box) will looks like, the other thing is I don't quiet understand the idea of Handcrafting an Airport like Sedona KSEZ and not, for example, SNA or SAN, who the hell fly to Sedona, very weird ...... BTW I don't think I'll go for the Premium, hard to believe, my little 172SP will ever make it to Frankfurt ...lol

Yess you can bud as things are at the moment you would pay the full price for that version again. Sofar there is no upgrade from the Basic version to the Deluxe or the Premium Deluxe versions. Scenery is in all versions the same the only difference are the airplanes and the Airports. In my opiniun is the price they charge for the upgrade is a ripoff.
You can only get the 787 in the premium edition soooo I got that.
Why are you comparing to xplane?
I'm playing it free on gamepass and you can take off at any airport as long as you can find it on the map and they all pop up I took off at my local town, Philadelphia International and even Horsham airbase is air base and there's hundreds of runways it's of runways as you're flying around. any short point you can take off from the water from. Now some plains are to big to take off at lil airports

..most of the stuff on X-Plane store you can get as freeware, or low cost Payware, no need to spend over $1,000 on addon, (which happened to me with FSX) I spent a very little (not even $100 total) and survived with no issues .....

First off, why would i want to buy the most expensive version of MS202 if i own a bunch of 3rd party addons + Scenery? Makes no sense to repurchase the default planes when they are much better tested versions out there and chances are, i already own the better version of it. Seems stupid to go for the 120.00 version.

I'm blind and my questions is as follows:

1. will there be a upgrade to the $120 tip top version via steam after the 18th?
2. For we who interact with the FSX steam version via the keyboard and voice input and output, will we also have keyboard interaction via the keyboard for FS 2020 as well?
We're watching two items.
1. It has been said by MS that they're going to have layered sounds to be as close to realistic sounding sounds as possible.
I purchase all of my sound packages from a company called Skysoung Soundworks.

2. Here's what we're really watching.
MS has mentioned that they're going to have directional sounds as well.
Here's hoping that's true.
Because the directional sounds will really help we who have to see with our ears out when flying and moving around the airport while still on the ground as well.
For a example to make FS 2020 accessible to both the sighted and for we who has to see with our ears, is as follows:
Via your headset's speakers, if you hear sounds out of both speakers, and or both speakers and in front of you, then you're on the center line.
If you hear the sound drift from one speaker, then tap the correct arrow key and or pull your yoke in the correct direction until you hear the engine sounds come out of both speakers and or both speakers and in front of yourself once again.
That way you would know that you're correctly back on the center line.

hey, I haven't played FS 2020 yet my self but I've seen in demo videos they do have directional sound, down to the level where props and engines sound very different in front, to the side and behind them, as well as in the cockpit hearing the left and right engines independently so I have to assume this would also work as you rotate your in game view as well
I really hope they fix the cloud lighting - they sometimes look a little unrealistic like cotton wool and seem to cast strange or missing shadows on other layers. Some look like they have a consistently bright light lighting them making them look almost flat.
I hope so too!
MS doesnt even include Canadas biggest Airport Pearson International in Toronto but includes 2 really small airports from Toronto. Weird and lame. Pearson was the #10 busiest airport in all of North America...

My suggestion is to either move towards MSFS 2020, get a good RTX 3000 series if you can, good prices now. The choice is yours mate and I know you spent a whole lot, give this a try and see the experience. Flight dynamics to environment, they are close to real and not just a model. Just one problem. MS 202 fails to have the IFR training ability of X-plane 11. MS 2020 is a "game" with graphics, very good graphics but its aircraft just dont feel like real aircraft. Normally I'm complaining about X-Plane but not a single review of MS 2020 deals with the lack of instrument flight training.

I wish Microsoft flight sim will not be pay to get the same aircraft high fidelity as the expensive packs. I hate games especially flight sims that are pay to play high fidelity planes. !!!

Buying the aw3420DW significantly brought up the cost of my upgrade but I love it so far. And I’ll be adding probably a little over $200 to the total cost since I plan on getting track ir soon.
