- Join us Daniel and Yuka as we celebrate International Cat Day 2022 with a new video from our recent stay at a Japanese Cat Hotel where you can sleep overnight with cats in your tatami room!
MyCat Ryokan is located less than a 10 minute walk from Manazuru Station in Kanagawa, about a 70 minute train ride from Yokohama Station.
We have been wanting to come here for over a year after watching @sharlainjapan's video!

Awwww thank you MortalClown! A ryokan with cats was our definition of 5 star accommodation! Happi-chan was so adorable and had such a sweet personality! Cats FTW! That sounds like a great way to win over grumpy cats! Hopefully more people who are on the fence about cats will enjoy our video too!

Hapi-chan was a pretty adorable cat! Mixed Munchkin and Selkin Rex with a bushy squirrel tail!! It was so much fun even though I didn’t get much sleep! 😻

¥17,000 a little expensive, but for two people and if you compare it to ¥4,000 to go to cat cafe for 1 hour it’s pretty reasonable

I hope one-day I'm able to visit cat hotels, it's been my dream. I have cats of my own but I've always wondered what cat hotels look like
ive been wanting to stay at this place for like...ever....i have a trip to japan in april and i was abit worried about whether or not they accept foreigners that can barely speak japanese or none at all :( could you advise on this? thank you so much
Generally you need to let them know if you have experience with cats, and whether you’ll play with the cats, tidy up their poop quickly and bag it to give to the staff in the morning. If you are already a cat owner then you should have no problems staying here! Their main priority is the happiness of the cats! 🐱 ❤️

Wasn’t she gorgeous? A mix Munchkin and Selkirk Rex kawaii little neko! It was really hard to say goodbye to her but she was pretty happy to go and have breakfast at 8:30am!
