@@patriciawilson6524 that's so funny all you guys said the same thing I would have said!! Love the original fabric on the chair!! Very stylish, not plain and boring. Sorry
Sharon here... I like the chair and it does go well with the table. Just so you know, I like the material that came with it, the green would compliment the greens you had in mind for the room. Just my thoughts. ☺👍❤
I love the green in the chair seat; didn't you get green pillows? The fabric you chose is introducing a new color to the room. The greens should blend well.
I’m a green person so I love the night stand. I actually liked the material already on the chair. However it’s your home to make comfortable for you. Your home is turning out lovely.
Curtains? Perhaps sheers. I can not imagine them being covered when you and Jay went to so much effort to make them naturally beautiful to be seen daily.
The green and gold that came on the chair looked like it matched the brass bed and matched the green on the bedside table you just painted it put a little bling in the room
I love the chair! Love the green material that is on it. Beige is too bah. Do you have any flower wall paper left over? A roll up shade with that flower paper on it would be cute. You then could have privacy at night. You girls dont need creepers looking thru windows at night.
If the previous owners could see what you have done with this place, they would be shocked . You, Jay and family did a beautiful job. I can only imagine what the outside will look like when completed
I was thinking that - I think we'll definitely see him soon as Abby still has a bit to do on the outside of the house. Will be exciting to see her vision for the porch come to life.
May I suggest a curved back sofa in a dark shade and flank it with 2 twin swivel chairs that are not matchie, matchie to the sofa, but do complement the sofa. (You want to follow the curves of the rug.) Also make sure that at least the front legs of the chairs are on the carpet so they look connected to the seating arrangement. I would get an interesting 3rd chair to go beside the t.v. Get good quality under padding for your rugs. They will last much longer and feel so much better. I would find a lovely old console with some storage underneath for under the t.v. Great place to store gaming systems etc. for the TV. If the console has drawers, take them to a carpenter and have him put either hinges on the bottom of the drawer face or replace with dark glass face. That way you can use a remote without removing anything from the drawer. Find a couple of antique side tables (candle stand, small book cabinet or gateleg table would work) and flank sofa. Add a couple of lamps and you’ve got a lovely, homie living room that is timeless. Might think about putting something large over the sofa. A painting, a collage of art pieces, big clock or wide shelf that you can put a picture, plants and candles on.
What you need now are some curtain S to keep out cold and heat something with dark green in them seeing your house from the beginning and now is such a drastic change it's amazing I wonder what Jay is doing now I miss him on your videos
I love the dark green nightstand. I also thing your vanity separates are amazing. Like others, I thought the original fabric was perfect. While you normally use staples, the duct tape could be a good thing if you decide to change things. The bedroom looks lovely.
Abby, you are being very intentional with your choices which is wonderful. That's how you truly curate a personalized home. Plus, anyone can run to a big box store or online & purchase pieces, this is so much more thoughtfully done. Good for you! Really like everything so far. See ya soon. Oh maybe a suggestion, instead of curtains or drapes, maybe some beautiful woven shades. Just keeps cleaner lines around your windows, and you can enjoy the beautiful wood trim around your windows. Lowe's has a lovely selection & they won't break the bank, plus very easy to install. I have them in my bedroom & love them. Just an idea for you. Go check out some & see what you think. 😊❤😊🙏❄️❤️
Glad you duck taped that material on the chair. Because it saves the original fabric which matched your color scheme of pops of green. You will be able too go back when tired of new color cover.Rugs are nice❤
Things r looking so pretty. I love the green u painted that bedside table. Sometimes if u flip the rug upside down for a while it will stop trying to roll up. Just a suggestion. Also spray lacquer on your dry flowers in the bathroom that can keep them looking good. Doing a great job on decorating
Great decision to change the duvet cover to white it looks fresh, the painting pulls in all the colors, the nightstand looks great in the dark green, love the drawer pulls, and the additions from your previous video with the pillows and blankets and upholstered bench all came together very nice. The eye tracks well now when you walk into the room. Even your clothes hamper pulls your eyes all the way over the the end of the closet area. Nicely done. My heart sank a little when you choose to cover the green chair upholstery with the beige you'd just deleted from the room with the change from beige duvet to white. I saw that little chair at the vanity and the mirror and even the lamp all pulled together by the green in the chair as a cohesive addition to the colors. It even pulled in the yellow/gold of the plant and I believe there was pink in it too. Beautiful space you're creating. Your mirror is also very nice, maybe a bit of repair but it pulls in the dark wood of the vanity set you've created. Maybe get a tall easel or build one, you're good at building things. Paint the easel gold/brass to match the bed and drawer pulls. Or not... It's your room and it's lovely. The bathroom also looks nice, not to spars, spa like. So fun to watch all your videos. Thank you for posting so often. What a fun person you are. Blessings ✨
I had to stop your video it's snowing in Florida more than I've ever seen it! Your furniture is very nice! I know it's not what you wanted but i would have kept the chair cover as it was the green went very well, the room needs pops of color.
I would move the chairs to the side and place a couch where the chairs are! The couch is a good "crash" place when you come home tired. Some throw pillows on the couch would also brighten the room to make it look more homey.
Could you consider buying an additional green pillow then use the fabric to cover the chair.? Would make a cohesive look? Dark green small patterned shades for the window would also bring the eye up. I agree with others that lining both your vanity and nightstand with your shelf paper would be so cute and unexpected. The nightstand color - AMAZING!!!
❣Since you bought two chairs, you could always bring up the chair from the living room with the original fabric, and try it out in your bedroom for awhile. Now that your nightstand is green, the original chair fabric might seem perfect and really pop, as you say. Plus, the chair with the new fabric very likely will look great with the colors in the round rug. Funny how that could work out so perfectly in the end. Like you planned it all as long!❣
I love the little green chest of drawers. Your dream home is a reality and your finishing touches will make it Beautiful , It's looking fantastic you are so handy with all sorts of creative ideas it's Amazing , Congratulations . 💚🤍🤎💗
The white duvet cover looks so much better. I absolutely love the blanket at the bottom of the bed! Love the green you chose to paint the end table. Love the picture above the bed. I also love the fabric already on the chair, but I assume it must have been faded or not your style. I don't buy my draperies anywhere except Amazon. Everything I have bought from them I love ! I only had to return one pair of draperies. I bought them for every room in my house when I moved here four years ago,. Everything is looking so good! it takes time to pull everything together. remember to take some time for yourself. ❤❤
Loved the color of the nightstand and that picture is spot on!! I think a larger white shade with gold base beside the bed would top it all off!!! Great job with the chair too!!
Your bedroom is lovely! If you can afford it, I recommend insulated curtains and either the shades or blinds. You'll be warmer in Winter and cooler in Summer, saving money on utilities.
Your new rugs in the living room & bedroom really dresses up the space. Abby the painting job on the night stand turned out amazing, fits the room color scheme nicely. Know one will never tell you use duck tape to attach new seat covering. Beside you have to use what's available around the house, right. Great chair find! 😊
Since the windows are so very beautiful I would just go with very minimal with curtains. I might even go with blinds only. Roman blinds would look great. It is an awesome transformation, I can only say you deserve it!
Adding some candles to the bathroom shelf will make it look more spa-like. Love the nightstand. I agree that curtains are needed, but those windows are so beautiful. I hope whatever window treatment you choose can be pulled away during the day to uncover all that gorgeousness. P.S. I think your duct taped upholstery looks fine. P.S.S. I missed the cats. 😉😊
Oh wow, very dark green. Thought you’d be going for a sage green. The cream ( the colour before you painted your drawers) looked great with the white but it’s your house, your room & your the one who has to live in it 😊 Enjoy painting !!
Love, love, love the dark green nightstand. Very elegant. I did however like the original green print on the chair. But no problem. You can switch it with the tan color. If or when you tire of the tan color fabric, go back to the print. Also, sometimes you have to live with your decorations for a while before it settles what you love most. In any case, fabulous job at building your own home and now having the pleasure of decorating it. I've been viewing from the beginning when I wondered when you'd ever finish such a huge project.
Paint the full length mirror to match the side table. I agree with the other comments that the darker, floral fabric was less harsh and added more to the overall look on the vanity seat. If you hate that particular fabric keep looking and you’ll find one you love
Keep the chair the extra chair because they come in handy. I have an extra chair if someone needs to have another extra seat on the dining table it doesn’t match the dining table chairs but still an extra chair helps.
WOW! That green looks AMAZING on that side cabinet!!!! & matches the throw pillows, throw and painting so well. Beautiful rugs, chair for vanity is perfect. HOW FUN!!
I would have chosen a fabric color that matches the night stand. But everything looks great and after all the hard work finally you're at the fun stuff! Enjoy!😊
Re: the full-length mirror in your bedroom. Maybe paint that the lovely dark green like you bed side cabinet and re-tack the back on. Just a suggestion. Looking pretty
The flowers that's in your bathroom are babies breath and, lavender. It should dry and, stay pretty for you I just don't know if it will still have a scent. Everything is looking fabulous, nice to see you back on.
One pro tip might help you on recovering - Staples Thinking about window treatments. It might be a cool 'Jay project' to make curtain hanger poles. Period correct could be sheers and silky drapes that can easily be sewn - more textures. Looks great abby!
Dont forget when you paint a cabinet or any wood surface you must prime or sand before painting or the paint will chip or peel off . I learned the hard way to .
I would have left the drawers white and painted the little side chest green. To me it will look like a blob surrounded by all white. The green fabric on the chair should stay green and not be changed? Use carpet tape to keep your rug from curling. If the thought of the sticky stuff staying on your floor, goo gone works or just cooking oil. The two maroon chairs are a compliment to the plain white walls and the light pattern on the rug, it's not busy at all, Dear. Maybe some pillow for a splash of bringing it all together. Curtains, pillows, rugs and wall decor help a plain white background POP!
I’ve watched since day one. Just wanted to ask if you’ve thought about putting one of those big electric fireplaces in the living room under the TV? It would be so cozy! I go back and watch a few of the first videos every once in awhile, the change is just unbelievable!! I love, love, love everything you’ve done!
Oh I love your new chair it has the colors in it that really go with your bedroom I wouldn’t change the material of your chair it’s another white off white mismatched to your room I love your chair just the way it is it’s perfect
The green material on the chair was perfect. I would have kept that.
The green material has character like the desk and mirror. I think the new material is blah and without character

My thoughts exactly 😊
I really like the current chair fabric too!
I really like the current seat cover on the vanity chair! That bit of texture with the green is SO cool! A plain beige cover is so dull!
Why change the cover on the chair? It looks so good with the plants, pillows and bedside table.

The green on the chair looked so much better in the room.
I like the chair the way it is way more than the fabric you bought.
I love the fabric on the chair that is already on the chair. I think it's pretty.
I’m glad you changed to a white duvet. It goes with the throw much better
I love the existing fabric on your chair. Contrasting colors and patterns really make a space pop.😊
Would be a lot easier. To paint with a roller.keep both chairs .the apolhsst
The apolstry was already nice ......
If you do a little more poliaster it will look better on the chair seats
Should staple or tack or it will wrinkle

Think a little gold lamp on vanity would be cute. Love the room so far! So pretty.
Abby your chair was perfect as it was before recovering but your home, your choice. You did a nice job recovering it.
I think the very front of your shelves in your closet would look nice green. It would carry it around the room.
I loved the look of the chair with the original fabric - the green gave such a good subtle contrast and lended itself more to the style of the chair
