- This is a quick way to remove the overheating warning on the Apple iPad. The model used for the demonstration was an iPad Air 2 but every generation of iPad will be cooled by this method.
Tips:
1. Use cold water if possible
2. Don’t expose iPad to water any longer than necessary
3. Use only enough water to cover the metal body of the iPad
Disclaimer: By doing this to your iPad you may experience some form of water damage, if at all possible try and give your iPad time to cool down on its own. If overheating is an issue, try removing any cases or covers present on the iPad.

i use an ipad for work out in the field doing Solar and this happens alot in the summer. I just turn my vans AC on full blast and and hold the ipad to one of the vents, wait a few min and it cools back down.

I literally never knew there was a temperature warning on the iPad, either because my ipad's too old to have one(1st gen air) or it's literally never overheated for probably over 6 years(I game a lot on it, unlikely)

@@L1MBOi iPhones, iPads and iPods never let themselves overheat on their own. They start thermal throttling - slowing down the processor in order to cool down long before the device reaches the screen presented in the video. The screen only appears in case you use your iOS device while you’re in a car with no air conditioning or if you are in a really hot environment, where the iPad is already overheating without even doing any serious job. Every computer has some kind of thermometer in it so that it doesn’t overheat. Even the first iPhone has it!

@@L1MBOi the possibility of overheating due to some games is extremely low. iPad has a lot of protection systems to prevent this, otherwise we would’ve seen millions of iPads catching on fire around the world. There’s so much more that could break in your iPad. The first thing to look at is the charging cable. If it doesn’t work with different ones - it could be the charging port - I’ve had a lot of devices that didn’t charge because of a broken one. I believe 80% of all cases are always the charging port. If the port is okay, the next thing to look at is the battery of your iPad, although the odds that the battery behaves like you’ve described are very low. Dead battery shouldn’t be working at all. It could also be liquid damage if you’ve exposed it to water, or some kind of connection issue inside of the iPad (in case you’ve dropped it on the floor). It may be a short circuit if you’ve been charging it during a thunderstorm, or if the power source was unstable. There’s so many things that could go wrong, so if I were you, I’d rather buy a new one, or bring it in for paid repair, in case there’s some data on it.

This iPad experienced some temporary damage but actually still works to this day. That’s just the luck of the draw though, most will get more severely damaged.

We have better options than murdering our IPads with water, and from what i know, only the new IPads are the only waterproof ipads i think. But her we have these alternatives:
Put it on freezer for a certain short time depending on how hot it is
Take it to your AC conditioner, put it on cool and then let your ipad cool there for a couple of minutes.
Leave it there to rest for a bit, best in a place with cool temperature. (Best recomendable)
