The KING is BACK! Landbased King George Whiting off the ROCKS - Perth Metro Fishing

- HAS THE KING LEFT THE BUILDING? - Last time I went fishing and squidding off the rocks at Fremantle, I somehow landed a King George Whiting ( • The Return of the KING... ) . While I was stoked at my catch, I always thought it was one of those days where you fluke a fish.
With the kayak still awaiting parts, I decided it was a good time to put that question to bed. I enlisted the help of my mate Benn (the juggler: • My mate completes the ... ), and we set out for a squid and fish session to prove once and for all whether the KGs could be caught that close to Fremantle shores.
And what a session it was! With a size KG on my first cast, it was a veritable frenzy of hookups and good fish. With KGs, Sand Whiting, Squid and Tarwhine caught amongst the ever-present hordes of blowfish and butterfish, it truly was a session for the ages!

Thanks for watching! It's South Metro area. Plenty of rock walls and jetties around that give access to weed beds. I lucked out that morning!
