I have just made this with True Blue Ombre yarn. It is georgeous. Thank you so much for this pattern. It is hard to find a lot of patterns for plus size girls.
Sara this is really pretty. I got a little nervous at first with the front post double crochets. I thought there was going to be another row of them because sometimes my from posts do not match up. But I'm so glad that you only do one row of the front post. Thank you for another great tutorial!😁👍❤
Thanks, Sara, I've been looking for a "ponchette" tutorial like this. I will be utilizing that foundation stitch and cute little toggles into my future projects. I wonder if you could do more ponchette tutorials using different kinds of stitches---or at least one that uses a tighter stitch, like half-doubles or moss stitch, throughout the entire poncho. That would be Awesome!
Hi, I'm working on a crochet fall video on my crochet channel. Could I use your photo from this video and briefly talk about your video. I would link back to your video so you get traffic and credit. Is that ok? Thanks
It is so adorable yes!!! Like the two diferent colours up and down but this one is awesome too.im going to get started as soon as i get yarn. Thank you are such sweet teacher. Im only not sure for the foundation chain, i have to study it more 😘
Really like this pattern, ready to make just one question,,, can I not join it?? Just leave it open, will it work same,,, I am making mine a bit longer also,,, nice yarn too… ,,I am going to try leaving open,,, never heard of the toggle edge, like it,,,,,thanks
I may take time to understand the pattern your foundation style is awesome .First time somebody has simplified this, Thank you.will you pls detail how to work on this pattern , Like to have some other easy and simplest pattern , I am a beginner in this craft.
Hi Sara I know you adjusted this pattern for up to a 2X. But Sara I do appreciate that but could you please go up to a 4X. I I really would like to do this Poncho it looks beautiful I love the colors you picked and all. I just need it to be slightly a bit larger thank you for all of your help.
Tina the pattern runs a little big as it's supposed to be loose fitting. I think if you start with 128 FDC it will get you to a 4X and a comfortable fit. But measure your neck band to see how it's going to lay, and measure as you work and it should fit nicely.
Could you change the pattern on row 7 by not joining that row and keep turning the work on each of the following rows , to make it a capelett instead. I just love it and all the Lovely projects you do.
I love the way you explain the pattern !! Thank you!! ❤
You are so welcome! Thanks!

No, it will not work the same, if you want an open '"cape" style I have a pattern called the Colorado Sunset cape shawl.
@@SaraSach will check it out, thanks much for reply,,,❤️🌼✝️
How many cakes are needed for the 2X size, please?

Magnifiiiiiique

You’re welcome 😊
The foundation chain makes me nervous, can I just make a chain foundation?
❤👍
Love this. How do you measure for your neck size?
Use a tape measure. and measure your neck area, were you want to neck of the poncho to sit. Then You will know which size to make.
Love this pattern. Looked like you were doing some of your stitches in back loop only. Is that true?
No, Probably just the camera angle.
Beautiful!
I have never made Foundation Double Crochet
Could you change the pattern on row 7 by not joining that row and keep turning the work on each of the following rows , to make it a capelett instead. I just love it and all the Lovely projects you do.
You can if you like, I have never done it that way and not sure how it will lay or drape.
Thank you!!!
Hi Sara could this be made for a child it's gorgeous thanks for all your hard work 😊😊😊😊
I have not worked out the stitches for a child size. But you could measure the child's neck and adjust the pattern to those measurements.
your pattern says to start with a foundation single crochet, not double >> which do we follow, the written or video?
I just looked at it, On R:1 it Says FDC, that's a Foundation Double Crochet.
How much yards to use? Pretty!!
As stated on the blog and in the video - it has 6 sizes, So the amount of yarn will depend on the size you are making.
Love pattern. You are saying make a dc but it looks like you are making a heck. Just an observation.
What's a heck? If you have any questions the free pattern link is in the notes under the video.
Just beautiful, you are such a lovely woman . Just wanted to know if I could not join in the round if that work out with the pattern?
Thanks For the nice compliment. But I am not sure what you are asking. the round portion of the poncho is joined.
Is it possible to lengthen the poncho?
Armanious D Yes, I talk about that in the video.
