wow i didnt even know you could actually remove the cover from airbag! i did a black interior swap on my and left it alone cause i was scared to pry the cover off haha.

Informative vid. Only bit missing is putting a 2.2ohm resistor across the SRS harness plug on the car side to prevent the SRS light staying lit when you restart. It will also keep the drivers airbag (if fitted) operational.
If the SRS light illuminates it means the entire system is deactivated as the SRS computer can’t ‘see’ the passenger airbag.....!!
Can this work on a 1995 civic coupe ??
When I took out my passenger side air bag off 1998 Acura integra GSR how do I reset the SRS airbag light it won’t turn off it turned on when I took the airbag out on the passenger side
The only way to do this is to add a 2.2 ohm resistor. Many online electronics companies would have them.
The SRS light has no effect on engine performance or ABS or any other system. So the cheapest and easiest way to get rid of the SRS light is to just pull the cluster and remove the bulb.
Clint White if the SRS light is on then it also deactivates the drivers airbag- if fitted. Well worth knowing I’d say!
Do you think that the area in the dash where the airbag was is a sizable and suitable location for a battery relocation?
Cory, batteries nowadays come in a variety of sizes, shapes and most importantly weights.
It's possible to get a sealed gel type Odyssey or a lithium Shorai mounted in the airbag location.
There is a large support bar where the four 10mm nuts were originally removed. This bar is definitely strong enough to support a battery at or around 15lbs.

I did. Made my own battery box and used an Odyssey battery. They are small and don't weigh much. Just remember if you live up north. Remove the battery when you put your car up for the winter. Or you are buying a very expressive battery again. Also, don't be afraid to do a battery terminal remote kit. Or else you look funny giving people jumps when you run your jumper cables in the dash
