My understanding is that Bach composed and wrote down all 6 Brandenburg Concertos in only an amazing 4 weeks time.
So unbelievably fast, I would have loved to see it in real life.
This is a wonderful finding, such an intimate view of Bach the Human and his deep craftmanship. Your thorough research on Bach´s Calligraphy is fantastic, thank You for sharing it with the world. Along Bach Netherlands Society , and " Sebastian", the beautiful animated series by Peter Fielding, what a delightful triptych for Bach Lovers.
I feel very honored to be on this list! Thanks!
I love your videos. Eagerly awaiting more!
The upcoming video will be about the types of ink Bach used.
"...form and content are closely linked..." It appears that this would be visually analogous to his style of musical composition. Thank you again for sharing a superb video.
The subject of this video is close to my heart, when I started my research I could find very little fundamental information about it in the Bach literature, which made it so puzzling how letters and numbers and notes look the way they do - while there are excellent general calligraphy documentation. Thank you for the appreciation.
What an amazing dedication to excellent in writing. I love his passion for beauty in the calligraphy as well as in the dept of his music! Thank you for this!
Thank you for watching and appreciating, it means a lot to me to hear it!
It is so good to know that Bach extended his eloquence to his calligraphy--all in service to God. And how eloquent he is in both areas!

That's a good idea, I'll make a video of what must have been on his writing desk.

8:48 What is this chorale? It's not BWV 86...
Oh, I forgot BWV 138!
@@lordlouckster2315 Never thought of the idea that a choral could have been quoted in the es/dis-Moll BWV 853 prelude
