I am missing the basics in most functions and so I don't follow the tutorials that I am finding. Yours are different because they are logical and detailed. Hi there. The Paint bucket isn't a tool you should be using to fill paths. It isn't made for that. Please rewatch the video, in particular the first few minutes where I show how you fill paths correctly and successfully.

Helen Bradley I ended up starting over again with the correct settings when creating the path and got it working. I used the pen tool to create the path.
