This album to me,is a very, very strong contender for album of the year. Fantastic album from start to finish. Impossible not to love this album. Hopefully I can see them on tour and hear these songs live as well. Phenomenal album. Great review as always. I knew from your First Impressions, that this album was going to get Two Toe Tags. 🤘🤘
It would be interesting to see everyone’s top five from this album. Mine would be 1-Gaurdians of Earth 2-Isolation 3-Agony of Deafeat 4-Autem 5-Capital Enslavement
I'm more into Classic rock but this album is awesome. Been listening to it every single day. A lot of awesome songs. For sure one of Sepultura's best albums of all time.
That review was what I was looking for! Thanks for it. Sepultura has a sequence of good albums since Kairos, but it is a undereat band after Max left the band.
This album is an absolute monster. It feels like Andreas and crew felt they had something to prove. This is next-level songwriting and it's great to hear at this point in their career.
For me, as an album, Quadra is more consistent than Chaos A.D.. This masterpiece work by Sepultura. And by the way, the song Pentagram has this name because it's in a 5/4 time signature.
Sounds good... but I just can´t get into this type of vocals. I mean... I love some "different" vocals like King Diamond and Kai Hansen and Hansi Kürsch. And Dave Mustaine. And I really like Slayer first albums, with songs and vocals like Chemical Warfare... But when it's growled and raspy like most death metal... which imho is a shame, because I really like the instrumental part of these songs.
Like you guys I have been listen to this album troughout the week. And I must say a strong solid album. It is true that the first half, let say the first five / six songs are strongest among them. Fast pounding riffs or fantastic solo's (The Last Time) Interesting Brazilian tribal / Can drums and odd groovy drumparts (Capital / Raging Void) Last song can be an absolute live killer. Image everybody chanting together with Derk in this song. Guardians they could skip (only first part is interesting and could be fill in as an interlude) Autem could be stronger (maybe if it had another place on the album. The same goes with Quadra, by now we had enough intro's and instrumental songs. It would be something if it was somewhere else on the album the same as previous mention song. The last two songs are Ok (even reminds me of Metallica ... Fear, Pain, Suffering) Female vocals Ok but nothing add. Could be deeper with Choir or other elements such as Tribal / Roots stuff.
Really liked it. Loss for words. Pretty cool. Phenomenal. You two look like you're dying for a new Limp Bizkit joint to drop so you could "pick a favorite song."
Awesome input guys. Checked this album out when you guys did and I think essentially the same thing. Question: if you take reaction requests, would you consider some more metalcore? Really loved the As I Lay Dying and Killswitch Engage content. You should check out Any Given Day as they're (in my opinion) a very balanced and solid metalcore band. Their song "Savior" is their most popular song.
This and the new Loathe record are my favorites of this year(at this point), I can't stop listening to Quadra, I'm really pround of Sepultura and for being Brazilian
It's just as simple as that: best record of Derrick Green era. Masterpiece!
Since Arise, best Sepultura album.

I cant stop listening to this album. Great review guys. Greetings from Brazil 🤘
The best album of 2020! So much things happens there, a lot of layers, different textures, power, melody, and thrash, crazy and creative thrash! 🤘
Sepultura (with Derrick Green on vocals) is underrated band. Nation & Kairos are good albums too.
Kairos not so much, but Nation is great.
It would be interesting to see everyone’s top five from this album. Mine would be

3-Agony of Deafeat

Could not disagree more (with all respect) - Derrick's performance is the absolute highlight of this record for me. Kia kaha \m/
Toe tag for sure. Agony of Defeat is one of the best songs this year so far. Great review
Quadra is by far the best album recorded with Derrick Green and, so far, maybe the fourth best album in Sepultura's discography.
I'm a Sepultura hater after Cavelera's era. But I can't deny it, Quadra is a masterpiece.
Great album
masterpiece!
Good review. :)
