It has been years since I have canned anything but watching you do that jam and chili makes me want to get back into it again! Thank you for the inspiration!
It's always good to have outlets where you need them. It's the worse needing to plug something in and have to dig out the extension cords. The food looks amazing.
Watching your daughter carry that grouse brings back great memories of my Dad letting me carry a pheasant he shot when I wasn’t much older than her. That’s been a long time ago. Good times.
Hello from 60 minutes west of Vegas. We’re loving your homesteading crafts! You have a beautiful home and family. (And your daughter’s name is the same as my mom’s!❤) If it’s not too personal we’d love a cabin tour at some point. Keep up the great work!
Another great video. Growing your food, foraging, and hunting for your own food is like printing your own money. We’ve done a lot of the same all our life but we need to do more of different stuff. Thanks for lets us come along on y’all’s journey. Looking forward to future videos.
I ABSOLUTELY ❤❤❤ your cabin 😊. It would suit me perfectly 🎉. Another great video. I'm really enjoying watching them and so happy I found your channel. You guys are amazing Survivorist; I wish I could live such a peaceful life surrounded by nature. I've got my 76yr mother to take care of and spoil rotten though 😂. RIP Dad knowing...... I've got this 👍🤘💪.
Very nice to see people learning & teaching processing there own food 👍, Love the bread & grouse on the fire :) Good hunt great shot ! Stay warm take care"
Thanks for the quick reply! I live in northern Maine but have a desire to reside in Alaska. Good luck to you and your family . Please keep the videos coming!!!
Love it ❤ thank you both for sharing your life with us. It’s so fun to get to see how you are living and to be able to learn from your challenges and your victories.
Loveeee this channel!! So glad I found you guys!! ❤❤❤ I can’t wait to watch your channel blow up… you guys deserve it your knowledge and videos are great!
Hearing your daughter jabbering in the background while you video is absolutely the cherry on top of the cake for me. My kids are all grown now and having kids of their own, so it brings back fond memories for me. Enjoy your time with her while you can. They grow so fast! BTW, I can remember my mom had a pressure cooker with a dancing weight similar to yours she brought back to Louisiana from Fairbanks in 1958. The lid would latch into the pot with a twisting motion to cam into the seal. It was a lot smaller than the one you have, but it was as heavy as bowling ball! Do y'all ever can fish?
We're so glad you enjoy the family moments ❤️ It's amazing how fast they grow! We do can a lot of salmon in the summer, and will be showing that this upcoming season as well! Thank you for watching, and happy new year 😊
Have you ever given your chickens pumkin mixed with their feed it's a natural wormer and gives them extra protein during molting Really helps Love your way of life ❤️ Especially canning nice job
Glad I found your channel! You prove a lot of what can be done off grid. Never knew that about catnip. My cats love it. Anything for lewy body dementia and neuropathy?🤔 I must have a sad life. Never had moose meat.🤣 I’ve had venison though. Lena like moose meals? Thanks for sharing. You doing another shopping video? Good night from 39 degree Florida,🥶
What did you use to separate the top jars from the bottom jars when pressure canning Chilli. Or was it a single layer of jars. I recall hauling water from an artesian well out in the boonies and taking it to rustic cabin. Memories. 👍 Tasty looking Sandwich. Good Video. Best
I love moose meat!! In my opinion it's even better than anything you can buy in the grocery store 💕 Not a big fan of venison but moose meat - yum! Chef's kiss 😘
Not weird at all! We just do it the old fashioned way; a big pot of hot water, Castile soap, and some elbow grease! There are off grid washers, but we find they don’t really do the job. Thank you for subscribing ❤️
We’d have to measure it! I believe it’s 16x24 (or close to). We are doing a property and cabin tour in the next couple videos- with small space tips included ❤️😊
I like to know is there daughter home schooled and does she have friends to play with. And I like to know about protection when it comes to the wild life I've heard in Alaska you should have at least a 357 magnum or larger caliber. What a wonderful family you have and all that knowledge you both have. Stay safe and HAPPY NEW YEAR
We live in a community of about 100 residents, there is a small school she has the option to go to. There are other families in the community with children her age she gets to play with as well! As far as Bear protection goes, we typically carry a 10mm or 44mag. If we are going somewhere we know there are bears we bring a shotgun and slugs. Thank you for the kind words, and happy new year to you as well!
I have such admiration for you all and the way you live and raise your daughter. So beautiful. Keep the inspirational videos coming.
Thank you so much for the kind words ❤️❤️ more videos coming!

My Gramma always set the jam jars on a towel after canning, so that's what I've always done. Just thought that I would share.

It's always good to have outlets where you need them. It's the worse needing to plug something in and have to dig out the extension cords. The food looks amazing.

Ditto! Love this channel ❤️
Why do Alaskans keep your houses open underneath for crawlspace?
Why don't you use your own tomatoes. I think it tastes better.
We ran out of our canned tomato earlier this winter!
