Sharing my thoughts on the newly launch Toonami Rewind program block on Adult Swim and ad bumpers. Broadcasting Toonami weekday anime such as Sailor Moon Dragon Ball Z Kai and Naruto. is very interesting. Let's see if Cartoon Network / Adult Swim is taking the right approach to attack nostalgia.

I just want old toonami bumpers & promos. Tom was essential to Toonami and not having old school Tom/promos really kills the “rewind” brand they are trying to push
Right. That’s how I’m feeling too. They should at least use TOM 3 era bumps and idents
The first time I was introduced to Naruto was watching the first episode in anime club in college...with sub no less. I don't think anyone back then could have predicted what a massive anime it would become.
Really was my gateway of course I liked DBZ Pokemon ETC but Naruto got me into buying monthly Shonen Jump which got me into others like Bleach
Bad news they skipped episodes in Naruto and also used to have that same experience as well.
I enjoyed it, but I hope they can extend more hours and re-work the schedule.
But, this is a good start!!😊

Also noticed another problem one of it's shows just went off track and that's Naruto really not looking right there.
Toonami is back on daytime TV, oh yeah!
Well not everything is good news just had an incident of fraud with Naruto isn't on track in the episodes and also has missing parts there.

@@user-sw6ni2tq6h Really is a tough job I can tell you anyway really spread the news of that have to beware of stuff like this when dealing with anime or shows that are done incomplete is a red flag to look out for among others like missing SUBS is another these times just got way too dangerous and uncertain now.

@@user-sw6ni2tq6h You're welcome trying to get good anime especially in these times now is really tough and physical media isn't always a good answer too since with all the prices and dangerous things happening in the world not just anime is affected but a whole lot along with have to be careful of other people and groups especially ones dealing with this Toonami/Adult Swim isn't the only way anime gets around but then again it's not the only answer either.
Agreed, I would've liked to see more of the Tom 2 era branding. Only other thing I'd like to see is Saturday night being extended to 6am. Other than that, I'm happy with Toonami being limited to Friday & Saturday.

@@justcoldk Haha. In all fairness, it's because I record the whole broadcast. If I wasn't, I probably would be watching only a couple of the shows.
But that's my one complaint about the midnight run. Back in the day they used to pad out their timeslot with a hodgepodge of old cartoons (Thundercats, Voltron) and non-anime ones too (Powerpuff Girls). I'm surprised they haven't done that.
Really seems good but bad news the part of Naruto has episodes missing since it got way too fast on the exams and has moved to a new time so may have to tell people about that. Though Sailor Moon seems on track lets hope it's not like Naruto either can't really deal with any hooky now vs old Toonami.
All of your opinions on what you think should be added to Toonami Rewind - I completely agree! And I wanted to take a minute to say 'Thank You' for having actual legitimate constructive criticism of ways Toonami Rewind could improve. And not just legitimate and constructive, but actually intelligent. Thank you so much for that.
The amount of comments I see daily that say things like "Oh, they should've used the original Sailor Moon dub." or "Oh, why didn't they air the original Dragon Ball Z?", or my absolute favorite, "Why did they include Naruto and not something like Reboot or Gundam Wing?"
They didn't use the old DiC dub of Sailor Moon for a multitude of reasons, most of which are common sense. They didn't air the OG DBZ also for a multitude of reasons, but think about it, would you pay a couple hundred thousand dollars for a license for a 291 episode show to put on your fresh, just starting out block when you don't even know if it will a be success? You already have the license to DBZ Kai so you might as well air that. And finally, they included Naruto because what Toonami Rewind is, at its core, is a celebration of ALL of Toonami, not just 1999 to 2002 like some of these people think. They included Naruto because that was a huge show for Toonami in the mid-2000s and including that will also include fans who have nostalgia for the later years of Toonami. < That last part btw believe it or not is the most incredibly hard-to-understand thing for most people I've tried to explain it to. They always respond with, "They should've just aired [insert anime here]." And it's like... *sigh*
