@@Camoroy0400 I'd say he is more of a "Empathetic Doofus." I think he wants the best for the folks of Bikini Bottom, but doesn't really have the means to do so at times.
Patrick Star is the least of my concerns. I mean, he's been a jerk to SpongeBob or anyone else. That episode "The Rule Of Dumb" was very crazy. Him being the king of Bikini Bottom or something, stealing someone's stuff, and having the freedom to tell someone what to do. He lacks responsibility and dignity. So for him being the least likable character. Which he is!
M Night (the director of sixth sense) has a twist that’s basically the same as I’m with stupid. Spoiler if you haven’t seen it in the visit some kids visit their grandparents but they’re not actually their grandparents. Great movie
@TheorysoftheMonsterworld I feel like everybody keeps ignoring Valentine's Day episode. Patrick was quite a petty piece of shit here for being pissed of a handshake as SpongeBob's gift. And that's considering SpongeBob spent the whole day just with him and gave him a chocolate balloon while Patrick didn't even give him any heart-shaped rock sculpture.
@@ashesGeekimagine how you felt getting a handshake from your best friend when other people got something better than a handshake. pretty heartbreaking if you ask me. oh and ofc spongebob is going to give him a chocolate heart, he’s his best friend after all; patrick was trying to make spongebob a gift but destroyed it because he cared about spongebob and tried to look for him.
@scotteaker4091 I mean, kinda quoting PhantomStrider, I wouldn't mind it, I just would be happy this friend cared to make something nice for me on such holiday. Even without a handshake, SpongeBob already gave Patrick all of his day off to hang out in Glove World, that's already more than enough of a gift. But, of course Patrick is being selfish and greedy as usual, he just doesn't give enough credit to SpongeBob for everything he does for him. Think about it, without SpongeBob Patrick would just waste all his time sleeping under the rock.
Patrick is secretly a villain yet a hero, for not letting his evil side always in control, also he is not the most aware character in the show, since it's a forced attitude, a defense mechanism.. Those episodes all make sense
Petter Sitter Pat is the worst episode of him in my opinion it’s a Top 5 worst SpongeBob episode in my opinion. I may not like the modern stuff but Patrick was at its absolute worst in season 6-8 they ruined a lot of the characters when those two seasons aired as of right now Plankton is the only one they have yet to ruin.
5:21 Especially since at one point he reveals that he KNOWS he's being stupid and doesn't care. (Don't worry, I won't apply that to EVERY episode, just this one.)
(Looks at thumbnail) I don't know that episode wasn't nearly as bad as the other ones. I actually find the episode funny, that Patrick has to disguise himself as a woman.😂 Though in all seriousness I absolutely HATE! "The Wringer" episode.🤬
A feel like everyones trying to tackle patrick’s character decline the wrong way. Just like there’s never gonna be an episode in family guy where it kicks off some sort of arc about lois and peter divorcing, the status quo reigns supreme here too. It wouldn’t be in the show’s mindset to make a heavily serialized episode on how patrick is a bad friend and start some kind of arc fixing him, as the status quo does reign supreme. Instead, a good way to fix him is to keep his stupidity contained. Like, instead of him actively being an asshole, give us a scene showing how his intentions are, ultimately, pure of heart and hes moreso blissfully unaware. An episode that does that really well i feel like is “Patrick’s Coupon”. There, they do a great job highlighting how he’s using his coupon for spongebob, which makes it when he does do mean and stupid things, he comes off as endearing as you know his intentions are pure and you actually want patrick to succeed here. With that way of writing, it easily fixes the biggest problem with patrick and makes him a likeable character who is still flawed, but not borderline unwatchable.
This one is Patrick's fault I do 100% agree with you Patrick made it worse by super gluing SpongeBob to the ringer but the other two episodes you are 100% wrong I do not see how those are Patrick's fault but the third one yes I do agree he made the situation worse by super gluing SpongeBob you finally got it correct and right I do Blaine Patrick
I agree with you NateJoe9924. Patrick was the one that started the whole thing by not helping SpongeBob getting him out of the wringer, but instead of helping Spongebob. He used the forever glue and made SpongeBob be trapped in the wringer forever! At the carvinal, SpongeBob yelled at Patrick for what he did to him, and made Patrick upset! To me, I blamed Patrick! And it’s 100% his fault for trapping SpongeBob in the wringer forever! And for being such a JERK to SpongeBob who can’t use his brain to HELP HIM OUT!
