Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall visit the beautiful Derrynane, in South Kerry... Stunning scenery as they walk Derrynane beach and visit Daniel O' Connells house.

They made Excalibur on that beach in 1980's, some parts of it. I saw knights riding down the beach covered in blood. Also, president meteraind of France landed in the same place about 40 years ago. Also the rocks they walked by are known as the danger rock and I remember a little boy drowning there. It's also home to Daniel o connell and his wife, Mary, is buried in an old chapel in the graveyard. Her ghost, the blue lady, is supposed to ring the bells at derrynane house and can be seen walking in the garden where legend has it , she slipped in steps and broke her neck. No idea if that's how she died. Never asked either, weirdly. Part of star wars was made on an island, skelligs, about 15 miles straight out. In the summer there's loads of girls and the Guinness is delicious. My daughter rented a horse and galloped down the same beach. What a great place. Well worth a visit.
