@@TheEducatedTrucker lol nah brother I took the job and worked two days there then was offered a job with Martin Marietta… I worked there for about a month but i didn’t like the job or hours. I took a class a cdl job with QT … I have a local route in Austin it’s way better man

How did it work out?
That job is not life. Working freaking 70 hours a week, waking up at freaking 12 am to be at the plant at 1 am working until 3 pm and then they tell you to wash out fast because next day you freaking got to be at the plant at 2 am hell no.
I have an idea for a video, it will be like a treasure hunt, when you’re on the job site hop out and try to find a concrete finisher that speaks English.??? 😂😂😂

I know what most driver in this industry of ready mix truck hate because I drive a ready mix truck for a living and is having to use all 3 or 4 extended CHUTES
That’s gravy the bitch part of it is having to go in at 11pm and work all night to 11am the next day with lil to no sleep at all because they washed you out around two 1pm and expect you to get some rest to last 12 hours through out the night be honest installing the chutes ain’t shit

Basically they take it back to yard an dump it out
And then the little supervisor comes out screaming and cussing. You taking to damn long to wash down. Chop chop. And then the next week they get on your ass because your truck is dirty. Man I’ve been there. Fuk um. I got so tired of that crap.

What do you make a year if you don’t mind me asking?
It depends on what your base pay rate is and how much work is in your area vs available drivers. If there's a driver shortage and a lot of work, then you could get mandatory overtime and bring home around 1,500 per week. But you're typically going to be looking at 23 or 24$/hr or so. You're going to need a class B CDL (class A works as well) and have a valid dot medical card.

Is it hard to bring this truck to a complete stop loaded or unloaded?
Sometimes and if its super wet it moves even more like a tanker. Some trucks have tipped over from being to top heavy

What type of Transmission is it? Usually Kenworth Trucks are Standard..not Automatic. Just wondering.
Alittle bit of both. They are producing more and more autos. And it all depends on the company you work for. The company I work for will only buy Manuel’s which I don’t mind
What’s the average pay check of concrete mix driver if don’t mind me asking
In California the pay its around 28-30 $ /hour

I work about 50-60 hours a week. Depends on your experience and the company you work for. Heard some companies start out around 20.
