It seems to me that whoever is managing Queen today is still trying to emulate how the Beatles handle their legacy. The Beatles are now releasing box sets with new mixes, outtakes, demos, etc. However, when it comes to the original track, the only thing that changes is which stereo channel the track is positioned on to better suit a modern audience. The Queen decided to use the same approach, but by literally altering the sound radically, even incorporating AI and more. This actually ruins the original track. If they had decided to release a bonus album with a completely new sound, it would have made sense, but this mix, marketed as a remaster, is actually more disappointing. The other thing I notice is the use of artificial intelligence. The Beatles managed to handle it simply, using it only to improve sound quality, whereas here it's used to avoid artists doing the work. This isn’t good enough and makes it seem like a more garish production. It's a shame because today, Queen arguably have even more of a following than they originally had thanks to this revival, but they are managing their legacy in a far more disappointing way.

With each passing day I respect John more and more for leaving and not milking the brand Shame on Brian and Roger for giving the A-OK on this, genuinely disappointed
Changing the voice of a dead man is already skeevy as it is, but using AI to do it makes it even worse. I honestly think Brian and Roger just hate Freddie at this point, and wanna do whatever they can to erase his legacy (which I think they tried to do with the movie too).
yeah. the best possible defence you could give them would be apathy - that every bad decision has been made by someone else and they simply don't care enough to stop it. but that's still awful considering it's apathy towards the legacy of a friend they worked with for nearly 20 years and who is now dead, and their apathy results in a LOT of money for them. also, they are the representatives of one of the most successful bands EVER. they must have SOME leverage and power to stop the disrespectful choices that are made about the band's legacy
Agreed. I remember I was a teenager who had only been listening to Queen for a couple years when they reunited and started touring again, even then I had enough sense to realize that Queen without Freddy just isn't Queen. It must be hard to have your frontman die, especially when you're in your prime musically as far as skill goes and you want to keep that momentum, but some bands are just too legendary to replace members
@@jevinday It's like Nirvana, could you even imagine them touring without Kurt? They should've just moved on, started a new band and continued the legacy of Queen in their own way, like Dave Grohl did with Foo Fighters.
@@nora-bee I agree with your point but nirvana isn't really a good comparison. In nirvana, Kurt wrote the songs and the other two filled in the sound. Whilst they were great at doing this, the band was still mostly Kurt. If you compare that to queen, all four of them were writing songs, not just their parts. Queen without Freddie is half of queen but nirvana without Kurt doesn't exist
The fact that the Queen catalog was sold in the first place is a dead giveaway to me. I feel like everyone knows, especially musicians, how greedy music executives can be when it comes to milking an IP. If they really cared that much about preservation, I don't believe they would've sold the music to be done with in whatever way the company chooses. I'm not going to go out on a limb and say that Brian or Roger don't care about Freddie's legacy or that they're secretly scummy or greedy. But if they really cared so much, I don't believe selling the catalog and likeness rights would've even been an option.
I feel like this is the worst version to do this. Downright disrespectful. The Beatles did used AI (As in the MAL algorithm used in Get Back) to separate John's voice from the piano in Now and Then, but that was that. The voice is crisp and as natural as in the demo. To autotune a voice like Freddy's and use AI to generate the video just don't seem genuine.
Honestly, I fallen out of love with Queen in recent years. I used to be obsessed with them as a teenager but with all the consistent cash grabbing, and the constant assault on Freddy’s grave. It just makes me feel gross. I really hope that this doesn’t happen to my other favorite band with a dead lead singer (the cranberries) especially since Dolores had huge issues with the tabloids and mental health, and seeing how they manipulated Freddy’s pain, it makes me horrified to think about what they would do to her.
pitch-correcting freddie mercury is insane. it's like pitch-correcting microtonal music to make it diatonic. we like it the way it is, why do some people feel the need to find errors where there aren't any?
because they hired horrible engineers with no understanding of Queens' appeal and didn't care enough to say "yeah, you should remove the pitch correction"
it's absolutely mental how we're reaching 20 years of pitch-correction used on freddie's voice, and it always seems like the whole purpose of it is to make him seem like The Perfect Vocalist™ when in reality, shaving off any flaws and imperfections just makes it seem unnatural. it's like remixing mr bad guy to smooth out all the imperfections and take out all the jaunty 80s-ness and burying the original! oh wait... - also, quite like the reference in the title 👌
Queen were my definitive favourite band from 2016-2022, I still love them a lot, but I’ve exhausted them and my taste has diverted. It’s weird, I remember being the only guy in my school year who loved the band whilst most of my friends were into trap music of the time; when the Bohemian Rhapsody film brought in a huge amount of fans to the band, for whatever reason the band became kind of boring to me. The film was a painful experience. And the band have been milking it a lot since. I remember going to a live show after the COVID delays, as we were walking into the O2 arena, a woman my age (20s) came up and spoke to me excitedly talking about the band, how she loved the film and exclaimed “they’re playing all the hits!” I remember thinking, is that all Queen are now, a greatest hits band; appealing to widest and safest demographic. Although the show was good and my first proper concert, it kinda killed my enthusiasm for the band, it was a closing chapter for me. As fan all I want is their demos (Feel Like) to released in HQ, any and all film footage of Freddie released, and that’s it. They’ve sold Queen off, so they only profit from live shows now, so why they’re butchering their back catalogue, god knows. Oh my melancholy blues.
Honestly I relate with your story so much. I'm happy with them wanting to introduce music to the younger gen, but at the live shows I've seen why were the songs I really genuinely enjoyed were the deep cuts like Dragon Attack or the covers of Elvis and Led Zepplin?? The movie too really soured my relationship with the band, I really checked out and I cant say I'm a superfan these days. For the release of Face It Alone as a single, I'll quote David Gilmour: 'If the tracks weren't good enough then, why is it good enough now?" The new remix and video is kinda sign I'm happy I jumped ship ages ago.
Freddie’s wish for the music was "Do what you want with my music, just don’t make it boring." And they went against that. They did make it boring, using AI and vocal touch ups to make the music sound more and more boring. My main disappointment is with Roger and Brian, as they are artists through and through and they’re signing off on the antithesis of art- AI generated slop. Pink Floyd, Queen, Tears for Fears, Julian Casablancas, it’s just disappointing how many people who’s job it is to make art are taking artist’s jobs and giving them to generators. I sincerely hope this becomes a short fad and that artists snap out of this daze they’re in- because the continued use of AI in this way both cheapens the art and hurts people. AI packaged music especially feels like bad junk food- im not going to listen to the tears for fears record because of the AI album cover, it sorta gives a feeling that if they didn’t give a fuck about the cover, the first thing you see, then how little effort did they put into the product?? AI ‘art’ just cheapens the artistic experience and in this landscape we’re in, we need to support artists, and they simply don’t .
@@Andycandyman24using AI “carefully”, it doesn’t matter if the AI can be used in the right, ethical way, it still strips a lot of other people’s hard work ( especially in art ) and replaces them, leaving them with no jobs or support to what could’ve been a more passionate, hand crafted piece of art that would be more serviceable than using over-hyped AI slop for the sake of being cheap and low effort ‘content’. Doesn’t matter if the AI gets better or ethical down the line, and that well known bands or companies have more than enough money to pay people, if no one wants to put the effort or care in something, even for the means of art, then why bother when we could actually support artists that can create the artistic value to their mediums and actually care?
@@aceataku These people/companies are rolling, swimming even in fucking money, they can pay people to work on their videos, music, books, games etc... they just want to keep holding onto that money and acquire more at the expense of others. Fuck GenAI.
the pitch correction isnt really noticeable if you arent looking for it, at least I didn't notice it but still why add it the music video is SO disappointing, did they not have budget to hire somebody to actually draw something? a description somewhere says they're working with an artist who specializes in ai???? bullshit
Yes, it absolutely is. That's how the majority of us heard it, just by putting it on when it was released. It sounds so much different than the original. Not everyone will hear that, but it's very noticeable .
even if this video wasnt “organized” it was so good!!! it genuinely made me laugh out loud sm and i can tell it was bc it was something you’re passionate about, so feel free to make anymore queen videos because i love hearing people yap about what their passionate about!!! amazing video, your videos always make my day and your one of the most realest content creator ive ever seen. awesome sauce!! (and im so glad you also frown on ai generated art im sick of it as well😿)
There were already some AI assisted music videos of archival releases of songs from legacy acts floating around (Like Linkin Park's Lost iirc) so sadly this might become the norm on non-new releases
You are correct. At least Linkin Park saved the AI just for the Meteriora collection as Friendly Fire got a proper clip show music video instead. That and at least Lost looks like it had some proper editing done to the video unlike Queen’s.
Say I'm tripping in copium all you want But I believe that corporates pushing AI is ultimately going to work to the downfall of AI slop The same way that AI slop took over Facebook, and now some people call Ai slop "boomer art" cause only boomers are stupid enough to belive shrimp Jesus is real Ai slop (I refuse to call it art) will be synonymous with uninspired corporate bs
I made a comment here earlier, but to me the release of 'Face it alone' had the warning signs all over it. It was an unfinishised demo for a reason, to quote David Gilmour, "If these tracks weren't good enough then, why are they good enough now?" It's cool seeing the demos and behind the scenes performances, however to promote Face it alone as a single was a bit of a stretch, especially for a boxset. I still love Queen, but I'm happy I jumped ship ages ago.
In poland, in situations like this we quote one song (i forgot the name of it) , the quote is part of lyrics that says "you should know, when to leave the stage, undefeated" And that's how i feel about modern Queen...
This just reinforces my belief that Queen officially ended with Made in Heaven and when Freddie died, and the rest was just some copyright holders dragging what was left of the band around (My respects go to John)
this isn't the first time they've pitch corrected freddie's vocals. all official releases of their live performances are overdubbed, and it takes away from just how amazing the og performances are. and the fact that we didn't get any more unreleased songs in this release makes it very useless and an obvious cash grab.
they trying so bad to do the Beatles album remix releases, those remixes were respectful and the releases literally bring a new life to those old albums, make them new again, with stunning artsy music videos and a never seen use of artificial intelligence (MAL) to separate those old 2/4 track songs. they try to do that shit but without the love and patience that Giles Martin and McCartney put on the Beatles Brand.
It's really upsetting to hear that these bands are pitch correcting dead members, I mean what the hell? Never seen your videos before, I agree with so much of what you said. It amazes me how we all consume tons of media, but not everyone is media literate, some people will literally watch whatever is put in front of them. I've gone and watched almost all your videos, keep up the great work your videos are special and i'm sure they take a while to make. Also appreciate the original artwork that is mixed in with your content- i'm literally probably your #1 fan
In my personal opinion, I think the recent Memphis album is the best example of how to breathe new life into old tracks. The album takes a lot of Elvis’s iconic tracks and solos his vocals out so you can truly appreciate the power in his voice without any sort of pitch correction nonsense
Freddie would be so pissed off with this shit and i agree with you, after Freddie died their stuff has getting more and more downs than ups they made Freddie in the image of what they pleased, what they wanted him to be seen by the public, ignoring who he truly was and what he actually wanted
This is horrible, honestly. Like, big corporations really managed to find a way to turn artistic expression into a business. I don't know when it happened precisely, forgive my ignorance, but it feels like the true "musician" job died a long time ago, like somewhere along the way, corporate interested managed to overtake artistry. It feels like in today's world, an artist is no more than an employee of the record labels and executives, your expression doesn't matter, your artistry doesn't matter, none of the emotions you wanted to convey with your piece matter, not even the general message of the art piece matters. It's like I could regurgitate any meaningless, or even worse, outright dangerous messages into a piece, and as long as people like it, and it keeps the dollars rolling in and the merch department selling their t-shirts, I'm doing a good job in their eyes. Can we even consider music art at this point? When the meaning is so stripped and the message so distorted simply to make it "marketable" and easily consumable by the masses? Is it any different from a can of coca cola, for example? Where you'll buy it, consume it, and throw it away right after I got into a bit of a rant after reflecting on the video, hope anyone finds some use for this huge text, I don't know.
The new video for TNCD is an absolute travesty. I can’t believe that one of the biggest bands the world has ever known has willingly released such a product to the public. The remix itself is a bit redundant. I don’t think the new drums really enhance or improve the original version, in fact, they detract from the song’s feel. Thankfully, the pitch corrected vocals aren’t as noticeable, but time will tell when it comes to the rest of the album!
You echoed my thoughts almost exactly. And please talk about Queen as much as you want. In fact, please cover that abomination that is We Will Rock You feat. Megan Thee Stallion
It's quite crazy to me that it's just now that people start catching up to the pitch correction fiasco that Queen have been doing for the past 20 years, and on one of those tracks with the least noticeable PC as well. The autotune crap has been thoroughly left unnoticed, even on the worst instances of it being used on the Miracle deluxe edition, on the demo material (Breakthru with real drums and bass is unlistenable vocal-wise), and Freddie Mercury's 2019 remaster of Mr Bad Guy, plus countless more.
Not just pitch corrections, for live shows they are shameless enough to clearly overdub sections and Freddie’s vocals (the best example to it is the release of the 2nd night of wembley ‘86)
@@LoveEveryoneSwish Except that Freddie was very much present on those Wembley overdubbing section and approved of every edit, same goes for the Live Killers, Live Magic and Montreal albums, also the unreleased 1975 version of Rainbow '74 which exists as a bootleg
Something about the redone version of the night comes down that no ones talking about is that it was HEAVILY quantised. If you play the og version of the track at the exact same time as the redone version, the re done version finishes around 3 seconds quicker than the og version. Every single drum beat has been put exactly on the beat.
ive never listened to the og version of the night comes down and just saw that queen released this one on spotify and was like "this sounds really good ill add it", but i think ill try listening to the og now...
The band can do whatever they want with their library but fans are not required to buy it. This feels like what Lucas did to Star Wars when he started playing in the digital toy box. Sometimes it’s better to leave the original unaltered.
Great video, but yeah I agree with most of what you said. The only part I'd question is 2:01 really. I get that Mercury was one of if not the biggest part of the band, but it's not uncommon for bands to continue without their original lineup. Just look at Pantera, Lynyrd Skynyrd, or Megadeth. Not saying that the best decision for these bands, but it happens.
This is the first video of yours I've seen. You've won me over by your comment on that stupid film. Btw, the album has been remixed, not remastered, it's a huge difference. I'm not sure if you just misspoke so please ignore my explenation if you already know exactly what these terms mean. But to put it simply: mixing is putting all the individual tracks of a song together, including stereo placement, volume, and whatever effects you want to use (compression, EQ, reverb, etc). Mastering is what you do to a recording after it's been already mixed, it's basically a combination of compression and EQ added to the complete mix. So remixing wil by definition be a much more intrusive action than remastering.
It's really upsetting to hear that these bands are pitch correcting dead members, I mean what the hell? Never seen your videos before, I agree with so much of what you said. It amazes me how we all consume tons of media, but not everyone is media literate, some people will literally watch whatever is put in front of them.
They should've done exactly what you said at 6:25. Animate something, release never seen footage, maybe outtakes, demos or scrapped stuff. I don't listen to Queen, so I never knew what was going on with the band, but this seems like the worst thing to keep up Queens legacy. People wont buy the new stuff they put out (I hope), but will definately go out there and buy their old vinyls and things they know are worth it.
I do agree with a ton of things in this video. The use of AI is terrible. It does feel like, sometimes, the Queen brand is being milked to its last dollar. But one thing to say on the pitch correction: I understand it. I recently went back and rated and reviewed every Queen album. There is one thing I learned, the first album is not all that good in certain ways. Yes, the songs are great. Yes, it shows off some really good songwriting. But man, most of the songs on there just really need a remix to touch them up. The guitars and drums often sounded muffled and weird. You can tell that Freddie hasn’t gotten full control of his voice yet, as he constantly falls flat and and his vocals are also often quite muffled. Of course there’s some bad things about this new boxset, but there’s also a crap load of great things. Unreleased demos that include acoustic backings and banter from the band members. The first official release of the song Hangman. Hell, even two songs off of the imperial college tapes. We get to finally hear pre ‘73 Queen and this is the first time that we get to hear the song Jesus live ever. There are some bad things, but I feel like we should still look at the good side of this new release.
Great video! About TNCD video, the ai usage is undoubtedly horrible, I really don't know why they chose this shit for the video, and, a controversial opinion, the pitch correction is disappointing but I think people are complaining for nothing, since it's not that obvious/bad compared to a lot of the previous boxsets material, and people are really late, they're acting like this is new, but QPL uses pitch correction since the Milton Keynes release in 2004 for live performances and the NOTW and The Miracle boxset outtakes and Face It Alone have it as well for studio, and they are way worse (rainbow and the miracle specially lol). I'm still pretty happy to see this boxset coming with a lot of unheard takes and live performances, considering they never release a shit out of studio things! Oh and of course, the new remix of the album, that sounds amazing so far!
Hearing that Queen allowed for and overtly used AI for a music video, that's disappointing. And yet it's weirdly safe. Safe despite being AI. That's trippy.
In 2018-2020 Queen was my special interest, like I was INSANE about them, I knew way too much about all the members personal lives, memorized their entire discography, and wouldn’t listen to anything else. So now that I’ve moved on, I’m kinda glad I did when I did, cause to see them use pitch correction on FREDDIE MERCURY’S vocals is so insanely disappointing, like it would’ve made me nauseous back then, but now it’s just like… are you trying to ruin the band’s legacy? The cash grab is crazy, props to John for leaving when he did.
unfortunately not too surprised. I was made suspicious of whoever was still running the queen IP after I heard a queen song used on an ad for crappy AI features on some new phone a month or 2 ago
This reminds me that Duran Duran put out a song called Danse Macabre like a year ago and the video looked weird as all get out but there was no indication it was AI but there also wasn’t and credit for who made the video. I ended up digging up that it was AI and was super disappointed. Not that I’m a major Duran Duran fan but established bands using AI instead of paying a creative (when they’re in a creative industry themselves) to do it will never not be wrong to me. There was absolutely no reason for Queen, a hugely successful band, to not commission an actual music video made by creatives who don’t use art scraped without permission from other creatives and thrown in a blender to spit out a soulless outcome. I also have a Halloween song playlist and the bad taste it left me made me not add that song but that’s probably just me being petty😅
Keep in mind that John Deacon is still part of the Queen corporation/partnership and signs off on everything, so he's as much to blame for this crap too.
The same situation worries me for the future of Black Sabbath when ozzy is gone, I would not put it above sharon to roll out a mass rerelease of all pzzy era albums and do questionable stuff to the band.
I knew this would be the kind of garbage some music group owners would do. Pink Floyd's owners have done this before too. I'm just thankful whoever owns Rush isn't willing to do something like this.
in summary: it's a offense to Freddie and the band legacy it has a lot of timeline mistakes, to the point that some songs existence dont make any sense (we will rock you being written in the 80s while We Are The Champions probably in the 70s it's a horrible idea), it portrays Freddie Mercury as a huge asshole while the other members are pure guys who don't cheat on their wifes, dont use drugs or drink alchool, when in reality they all cheated at their partners it also make Freddie being gay as a fact, when in reality we'll never know his sexuality but he was most likely bisexual
@@feduwtc ah that’s disheartening, I did sense a vibe in the movie like the band members were all so pure and with Freddy being the wild partier which seemed like a strange choice and wow didn’t know the other band members cheated on their wives 😒
im going to subscribe to you jsut because of the queen content... But fr tho the new video is horrendous the night comes down was my favorite song on the album, they're just ruining it.
I could not agree more. The film was straight trash. Nuff said. I'm fine (somewhat) with Brian and Roger tweaking their own work (it's theirs after all), but leave Freddie's work alone. He's not here and he can't say yes to his work being ruined, so don't. If John has given his consent to tweak his stuff, then fine (I still feel iffy about it though).

Honestly John deacon had the right idea with just up and leaving, at this point Brian and Roger are just milking the queen friends
@@mememan5466 Fair point honestly, either way Queen without Freddie has just always felt uncanny to me.
This reminded me how Tears For Fears recently put out a comp of some live stuff with 4 new songs and they used AI for the cover.
I think this video hit the nail on the head. AI and pitch correction is so disrespectful to Freddie’s legacy
Honestly, I fallen out of love with Queen in recent years. I used to be obsessed with them as a teenager but with all the consistent cash grabbing, and the constant assault on Freddy’s grave. It just makes me feel gross. I really hope that this doesn’t happen to my other favorite band with a dead lead singer (the cranberries) especially since Dolores had huge issues with the tabloids and mental health, and seeing how they manipulated Freddy’s pain, it makes me horrified to think about what they would do to her.
who in their right mind listens to the night comes down and thinks ''yup, this needs a re-pitch''

@@feduwtc THANK YOU :D AND HEY NO SWEAT I LOVE SILLY COMPLIMENTS LIKE THIS :3 ITS MY FAVE PHOTO EVER
pitch-correcting freddie mercury is insane. it's like pitch-correcting microtonal music to make it diatonic. we like it the way it is, why do some people feel the need to find errors where there aren't any?
That's like painting Instagram filters over the monalisa
because they hired horrible engineers with no understanding of Queens' appeal and didn't care enough to say "yeah, you should remove the pitch correction"
it's absolutely mental how we're reaching 20 years of pitch-correction used on freddie's voice, and it always seems like the whole purpose of it is to make him seem like The Perfect Vocalist™ when in reality, shaving off any flaws and imperfections just makes it seem unnatural. it's like remixing mr bad guy to smooth out all the imperfections and take out all the jaunty 80s-ness and burying the original!
For the release of Face It Alone as a single, I'll quote David Gilmour: 'If the tracks weren't good enough then, why is it good enough now?" The new remix and video is kinda sign I'm happy I jumped ship ages ago.
so relate to this. hurts to say because they were such a massive part of so many of my teenage years, especially through the pandemic.

AI's fine if used carefully.
@@Andycandyman24 Nope.
@@RobotScarlet Nope What?
Still at this point there's no way to do it ethically and even if in theory these people/companies that stole other's works, be it written, composed or visual, and very, very personal and medical data, were to erase all of this to start it anew and legally/ethically, which that's a very hard thing to believe, the environmental damage it does to maintain all those fucking stolen datasets is abhorrent. the music video is SO disappointing, did they not have budget to hire somebody to actually draw something? a description somewhere says they're working with an artist who specializes in ai???? bullshit
Yes, it absolutely is. That's how the majority of us heard it, just by putting it on when it was released. It sounds so much different than the original. Not everyone will hear that, but it's very noticeable

They had the budget
They didn't have the principle

As a massive fan of Queen, I am so excited to hear people who aren't specifically musically focused talking about it.
Say I'm tripping in copium all you want
But I believe that corporates pushing AI is ultimately going to work to the downfall of AI slop
The same way that AI slop took over Facebook, and now some people call Ai slop "boomer art" cause only boomers are stupid enough to belive shrimp Jesus is real
Ai slop (I refuse to call it art) will be synonymous with uninspired corporate bs

It isn't even "remastered", it's just butchered at this point. I feel so disappointed in Brian and Roger
This just reinforces my belief that Queen officially ended with Made in Heaven and when Freddie died, and the rest was just some copyright holders dragging what was left of the band around
(My respects go to John)
this isn't the first time they've pitch corrected freddie's vocals. all official releases of their live performances are overdubbed, and it takes away from just how amazing the og performances are. and the fact that we didn't get any more unreleased songs in this release makes it very useless and an obvious cash grab.
Jesus, first the AI debacle with Pink Floyd and now Queen?
Don't forget Linkin park
Albeit they now have an even more controversial debacle in hands
I recall watching Bohemian Rhapsody and I was so annoyed by how it came out.
World's most glorified fanfic
they trying so bad to do the Beatles album remix releases, those remixes were respectful and the releases literally bring a new life to those old albums, make them new again, with stunning artsy music videos and a never seen use of artificial intelligence (MAL) to separate those old 2/4 track songs.
they try to do that shit but without the love and patience that Giles Martin and McCartney put on the Beatles Brand.
It's really upsetting to hear that these bands are pitch correcting dead members, I mean what the hell? Never seen your videos before, I agree with so much of what you said. What is it with older bands that still make music using AI? Tears for Fears are releasing a new album and their cover art is totally AI generated.
Whatttt
Man, I just checked, and yeah that’s really obvious
They like money
In my personal opinion, I think the recent Memphis album is the best example of how to breathe new life into old tracks. The album takes a lot of Elvis’s iconic tracks and solos his vocals out so you can truly appreciate the power in his voice without any sort of pitch correction nonsense
Freddie would be so pissed off with this shit and i agree with you, after Freddie died their stuff has getting more and more downs than ups
they made Freddie in the image of what they pleased, what they wanted him to be seen by the public, ignoring who he truly was and what he actually wanted
Where you'll buy it, consume it, and throw it away right after
I got into a bit of a rant after reflecting on the video, hope anyone finds some use for this huge text, I don't know.

"Medical Aid for Palestinians" needs a new acronym.
ive never listened to the og version of the night comes down and just saw that queen released this one on spotify and was like "this sounds really good ill add it", but i think ill try listening to the og now...
The band can do whatever they want with their library but fans are not required to buy it. This feels like what Lucas did to Star Wars when he started playing in the digital toy box. Sometimes it’s better to leave the original unaltered.
this is in fact my first video of yours and your unabashed hatred of Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) lights up my world
Great video, but yeah I agree with most of what you said.
Don't be so sure about Queen's reputation being 100% safe 😥
What some people do in the future shouldn't make people think that the music of the past was bad
To quote the amazing world of gumball...

"you can do anything with my music, just don't make it boring" -Freddie Mercury
Wow, I didn't know about this.
Was it all worth it? Haha I see what you did there, one of my favorite tracks, well done!
The guy who made freddie mercury buys a Wii has respected his legacy more.

It amazes me how we all consume tons of media, but not everyone is media literate, some people will literally watch whatever is put in front of them.
What was the worst movie you ever saw?
They should've done exactly what you said at 6:25. Animate something, release never seen footage, maybe outtakes, demos or scrapped stuff. I don't listen to Queen, so I never knew what was going on with the band, but this seems like the worst thing to keep up Queens legacy.
People wont buy the new stuff they put out (I hope), but will definately go out there and buy their old vinyls and things they know are worth it.
This kind of reminds me of the kiss avatars with the AI thing, even though it’s a different thing and a different band, but kind of reminds me of that
I do agree with a ton of things in this video.
There are some bad things, but I feel like we should still look at the good side of this new release.
bet youll do a video when the album comes out
Great video!
I’ve been a fan since 2011, I’m an adult now and it just upsets me the whole ai thing, I listened to every song was it all worth it?
NONONO MORE QUEEN CONTEXT IM A FANPAGE WHO WAS BLESSED WITH THIS VIDEO
pitch correcting freddie mercury is like remastering star wars with cgi instead of practical effects - oh wait
It's a remixed version, not a remastered version. Those are completely different things.
amazing
The same situation worries me for the future of Black Sabbath when ozzy is gone, I would not put it above sharon to roll out a mass rerelease of all pzzy era albums and do questionable stuff to the band.

in summary: it's a offense to Freddie and the band legacy
it has a lot of timeline mistakes, to the point that some songs existence dont make any sense (we will rock you being written in the 80s while We Are The Champions probably in the 70s it's a horrible idea), it portrays Freddie Mercury as a huge asshole while the other members are pure guys who don't cheat on their wifes, dont use drugs or drink alchool, when in reality they all cheated at their partners
it also make Freddie being gay as a fact, when in reality we'll never know his sexuality but he was most likely bisexual
@@feduwtc ah that’s disheartening, I did sense a vibe in the movie like the band members were all so pure and with Freddy being the wild partier which seemed like a strange choice and wow didn’t know the other band members cheated on their wives 😒

So...real artists are using AI now?...thats like, a sheep sleeping with a wolf...sure, the sex might be good, bur he still gonna eat you after that...
