- Want to know what Kooks headers to stock mufflers sound like on a 2016-2019 CTS-V? Cold Start, Revving, Dyno Pull, Idle, Racing, Windows Down etc.
This is a compilation of videos to get a better idea of what Kooks 2x3 Longtube Headers with Catless Connection Pipes to Stock Mid Pipe and Stock Muffler sounds like. With the stock muffler, you retain the valves so you can open and close them but all the footage is with the OEM muffler valves open.

Nice video! I have a 2018 Cadillac CTS-V Championship Edition. I just ordered 2 x 3 in Kooks, going in Stainless works exhaust. Just ordered an LMP lid, 2.3 upper, and WXM XXX hx exchangers. A few other goodies coming, keep up the good content.
You have the best interior on your IMSA hands down! Very similar build to what I have. Nothing crazy but just enough to wake it up a little

Oh, man! My appointment is on July 17. kooks, 2.3 uppers, Weapon X triples, mighty mouse. Upgraded SC lid. I haven't seen any Championship edition out here in Washington. I have a white one as well 17,123 miles

The next best color and hard to find is Vector Blue Metallic so if you find one of those you like jump on it! I love that color!

I was able to retain my stock factory valves with my billy boat cat back exhaust.
Billy Boat is awesome! I looked at some Billy Boat mufflers but ended up getting some Corsa Extremes to see how I like it so we will see. Might do a before and after vid on it
Loved having my Billy Boat setup until the Valves started to fail after going FBO. Eventually, I took them out, so there wasn't a chance of them closing during a WOT pull and ruining the engine.

Sucks noones made a full exhaust that has black tips with valves headers back lol. I have to piece together crap. I’m currently in the debate of this or just doing kooks headers back and deleting valves because that’s the cheapest route for a full exhaust
I just pulled the trunk fuse for the valves so they stay open all the time. That or you just unplug them from the muffler and ziptie them up somewhere safe. Billy Boat and Stainless Works have full exhaust setups that retain valves and it may not be advertised on their website but Billy Boat offers a black tip option as well. Just message them directly for that option and they will tell you how much it is. That or just Cerakote them black

If you had the valves closed with your setup & did a cold start like at 5am do you think it’d be quiet enough to not wake up the neighbors? Or does being catless make it that much louder?

What all mods have you done and who did the work on your car n your tune im looking to get sum kooks headers n their exaust n upgrade my intake..... it sound better with the stock mufflers 2 me i think bcus the factory valves was made specific for this motor n exaust set up???????

Just installed cam and kooks on my V3. what did you install to battle heat? Mines is pulling timing from the moon and the stars right now.
I have a Dedicated Motorsports hidden fender expansion tank and about to install his Heat Exchanger as well. Best thing is meth or possibly a Interchiller but I didn't want to run either of those
get corsa extreme axel back mufflers.. ya won't regret it...
I have had some for over a year and just never got around to installing them lol. Might slap them on and do a comparison video for them

The Kooks headers have catless connections pipes that connect directly to oem mid pipe (x-pipe)

It's lowered on Rennick Swift Springs and does really well. Biggest thing I worry about it the Carbon Front Splitter more anything
