What a pity that the weather was so bad. The landscape looks awesome. Walking with wet shoes and feet ... brrr Day four, better weather, and the landscape looks sensational

Planning on doing the trip in 2025, would you recommend August or September? And btw. great video

Hi Leslie, not sure how it is in August but I liked September. I like cooler temps in general and bugs were not an issue

Nice film. Well done. I share your pain with every squelching footstep! 🤔Wet feet for the whole trip?

Also, was it essential to carry a tent and camp gas as a backup?

Pretty soggy feet for the whole hike. I did carry a tent. I slept in my tent for three nights and the huts for three nights. Camp gas is essential if you want hot meals. I did not. I just ate protein bars, tuna and MREs

Awesome video, I was wondering if you had any advice about the weather. You mention you went in September, but did you look into/hear about March and April treks and the differential in weather conditions? Im trying to plan a march trip and struggling to figure out if I'd be snowshoeing or backpacking... Thanks so much!

Hey, thanks for checking out the video. I don’t have any personal experience but remember reading and article on Medium by a dude named Simon Tang who did it in the early spring and it was still all frozen. Not sure if links show up in the comments, but his story is here… medium.com/6-months-6-men/ops-arctic-fox-6m²-phase-charlie-explorer-86714f739c40

@@timlally6316 Thanks so much, this article looks great and I've recently found some interviews on the trek's official YT page. Also, great video!

Expect lakes to be frozen in March and into April. Snow cover thins out the further east you go. Temps can drop to -40C or below in March, warmer at the Sisimiut end.

As a "glacier" from Norway, I am so happy to see this documented. Greenland is much more than the ice sheet that defines it (pretty much the area of the entire nation of Sweden, the fifth largest nation of Europe is not covered by "me")

I’m honored to have had a real-life glacier comment on my video. Thank you so much for your time, and I wish you the best in your fight against global warming!

Very amazing and beautiful. But I can't imagine how Indonesian people like us, are able to survive in the extreme harsh climates in Greenland.

People everywhere are resilient and Indonesians are no exception. I think you’d be able to adapt and survive if you had to 💪

Wow.....I thought the weather would be nicer in September.
    August is looking better.
It looks like theres no point in waterproof footwear. Its going to get wet no matter.
