- Never thought I would ever play many handtraps in Blue-Eyes True Light control deck. But, after seeing the current diverse meta (and my bad coin toss winrate), playing more handtraps, like ash, is the better option. I'd swapped in and out some cards (these are mentioned below) and this is the final version of the deck. But if I had even worse RNG, I might have played more handtraps than trap cards.

This is the most pure Blue-Eyes deck to reach Master 1 imo. I have tried my previous consistency cards, namely Lord of the Heavenly Prison and Pot of Extravagance, but these cards aren't suitable/playable alongside other cards that counter the meta. But, I still needed consistency cards, so I decided to play Branded Fusion to replace these cards, since it can act as a "stronger" dragon shrine. Bystials I play are mainly played as handtraps.

The cards I played are what I feel the best for me. The traps and handtraps were there when I needed them. Playing more copies of certain cards can be good, if the Konami coin toss RNG and/or card shuffling system are in your favor.

I'm a strict Blue eyes player. Everytime I watch this vid in particular, it makes ne realize how much blue eyes can dish out wins. But they can also be very fragile with the wrong build. Using albaz to support blue eyes is fantastic, to top it all off with hand traps as well(not ash, but hey it is needed for the meta)
I'll keep watching this video as a reference, and maybe even share my deck in master duels meta. Once again, thank you for making this deck and showing people how blue eyes can truly be!
Ive been going through a bunch of your videos and the #1 thing I love about your channel, is the text. I love knowing how people make decsions in this game and very few channels do this.

bro doesn't win cause BEWD is strong, bro wins cause he knows how to efficently play and outsmart his enemies. he knows what card is important to start a combo and he prevents it with handtraps and negates, great reading of the duels and usage of what you have. sad to know that even after all these years BE deck won't ever see the "true light" in current format...BUT atleast konami dropped the bomb of a new expansion for blue-eyes in october 2023, we all pray that this deck will rise from the depths once again (also i wish they limit dark matter dragon..even if i know that with it being unbanned some decks would become tier 0..)

Definitely one of the most expensive decks in MD, but it does pay for itself through the events. Very few so far Blue-Eyes hasn't been able to dominate, and those were the events it was outright banned (like the current one, unfortunately). Pretty easy to extend into other strategies alongside it too, but man, the bricks along the way could build a decent sized city..

The list for this deck on Master Duel Meta has a mistake, with Melody of Awakening Dragon instead of Dragon Shrine. I noticed the same list is highlighted under spicy winstreaks.

bad news: BE is not, and never will be (and i hope one day konami proves me wrong) meta, the dude is just well prepared on how to stop and counter the decks he faces. only thing that remains to do is pray that the new expansion coming in october 2023 will bring some fresh stuff for BE to be playable again (i'm an ancient BE enjoyer that made me won several tournaments at locals back in 2016-2017)

As I just found out, Maxx "C" has anti synergy with Summon Limit. But I'm thinking if you must play it you can play 2x Maxx "C" by playing only two of each Ash Blossom and Super Polymerization. Maybe Baldrake can be removed instead of one of the Ash or Super Polys.
If it were me, I would replace either baldrake, or one of the traps like solemn judgment, since if you want to include it, you expect you would lose more coin toss. Hence, replacing traps for maxx c is good in that case
Blue-Eyes Trap control deck! :D I really love your builds. I haven't gotten to build trap control version yet but its mainly because I'm into floodgates😅 I prefer fighting my opponent fair :) Even though I know they won't.
Burst Stream attack animation gies hard
One combo I love doing in a control blue eyes deck is tyrant equipped with the power of guardians even if the spell gets popped it did it's job let's say it killed 3 monsters on turn it was summoned 4900 attack and +3 destruction protection. It's also useful for Jet since it provides field protection while they have to get rid of Jet 1st so you can use the counters on tyrant to ensure Jet stays on the field.(naturally there is tributing and banishment too but you can't protect against everything. But infinite imperm can help with that. Enjoyed the video

Question, did you consider having Jet Dragon at 2 or is that a bit bricky for this deck variant?
There's another Blue Eyes player (jonikku) that makes master duel content that also cut it to one, and that was his reasoning. I bet it's the same here.
@@BuckysKnifeFlip I put the explanation of 1 jet on description. Basically, destruction removal effect is less common, so double jet isnt as good as before, thus the card become brickier. I also mentioned the reasonings of other cards on the description.

I've never wanted to make BEWD before but this is legitimately incredible! How necessary are the Branded cards in the deck?
It's additional consistency card. My 2 usual-go-to consistency cards for True Light deck arent good right now, so Branded Fusion is practically the third best option.

Would a 2nd/3rd copy of Tyrant in place of the XYZ cards be a bad idea to have as back-up for if the 1st one is removed?
It's not that bad of idea. You can try for yourself to see if it works. I just wanted more flexibility, so I put those XYZs.

It was sold during master duel 1st anniversary by paying 3000 gems. it isnt sold anymore rn (maybe for next year? who knows)

You can play imperial iron wall to stop kashtira from banishing, play solemn strike/judgment to negate kashtira effect or summon, or play kashtira themselves in BE decks. Kashtira fenrir is generic and strong, so you can splash it to other decks as well.

@@slayser7179 Bystials are mainly to counter Tearlaments. If you face more/lots of Kashtira, you can play Imperial Iron wall more and maybe replace bystials with other cards like solemn cards.
For kashtira meta, I think this version is better. BE branded relies on monster effects, which Kashtira enjoy to counter.

The decklist and gameplays have dragon shrine in the deck, not melody. Dragon shrine is better for True Light control because it allows you to send 1 BEWD + Stone to summon jet for no cost.
If you refer to the list from MDM, I already commented on I made a mistake when I made it. I made it based on an old deck slot, then delete some cards before completing the decklist. Instead of deleting melody, I accidentally deleted dragon shrine.
Do you think Almiraj is better than Linkuriboh, it can protect Jet and its revive effect is better?
It can be better than linkuriboh in some cases tbh.
What will you replace Shadow-Imprisoning Mirror with when Kashtira comes out?
I think imperial iron wall will do the job. Good against branded/swordsoul/floo as well
How do you make mirror jade in this deck
Branded fusion sends albaz+stone to summon Albion
Use Albion's effect to banish it and albaz to summon lubellion
Use lubellion's effect to shuffle albaz+albion and summon mirrorjade
This way, you will have mirrorjade+BEWD/jet on end phase.
You can just play branded fusion and send albaz+bystial to summon lubellion and straight go to mirrorjade, but you wont have BEWD/Jet on end phase this way.
Im also a blue eyes player.. and also working on chaos archetype.. after seeing your video i feel like im outdated.. and need to switch to another engine.. which engine you recommend? Branded or Beastial archetype?
For MD, Branded Fusion at 1 weakens that engine, so I think Bystial is better.

The effect only requires you to discard, and regardless of if it reaches the graveyard or is banished, as long as it "discarded," it'll go thru. Some cards like Maxx c require that they reach the graveyard by saying "send/ discard this card to the graveyard," so in that case, you wouldn't be able to attempt to activate it if it would have been banished instead of going to the graveyard
the text only mentions discard ash, doesnt matter where ash end up later on.

@@cerebrum099 Called by explicitly states "negate" on the card text. When the Ash got activated, it got banished due to D. Fissure's effect, but D. Fissure never stated a negate on the card text, hence Ash effect still activates.

Deck is just standard blue eyes with few floodgates and handtraps. I prefer blue eyes deck with eyes of blue spellcasters with some deck milling combos
