I was up there today with chris, shot a 5 pointer, first ever stalk! Started at 9am was done by about half 12. Great day, great stag. And chris is sound af, proper professional.
Well done Chris another good video and not forgetting the camera man I have never been stalking in my life although I have been rifle and shotgun shooting for 60 years I am, now 75 I love watching you at work and I learn from what you show and tell me. Thank you.
@@gerainthughes8005 6.5 x 55 was designed to be a long range target rifle and now 6,5 creedmore this and 6.5 that, not really ideal for deer as big as reds
@@williecosgrove mate, the humble 22lr is the poachers tool, dont come here saying a 6.5 won't kill 😂 Chris is a crap shot who chooses poor backstops, be all.and end all.
williecosgrove seen older videos with him using a .243 and he was just as bad with that, even had a slow motion shot of bullet striking the back of the stomach!!
Why do you shoot young stags like those? Surely they are the ones you leave for another year to develop and grow while you shoot out the older poorer stags. Makes absolutely no sense to me.
Understand, this man is not just a hunter, he’s a manager of wildlife. He’s culling out young males, because the stag that is the stud, is producing good quality offspring. When the stud gets old he’ll cull him out then. Keep in mind this gentleman has been watching, studying, and managing the deer in this area.
@@Wild_Bill57 nope not having that argument. Those were 2 nice young stags. They had time to grow and develop. If he shot them purely for numbers of deer on the land then that is fine but I still would want to leave them for at least a year. He is indeed an accomplished stalker and at least he actually was on reds unlike the first video in the series when he only shot a roe.
@@davidm3maniac201 he dosnt make it clear why he shoots them so I would like to know his reasons. If you are taking stags purely for numbers then I can maybe see it but he should be able to manage the ground better so then he wouldn't have to shoot young stags like those.
Love the episodes with chris, very enjoyable 10/10

Don’t know if it’s shot placement or poor ammo but he never seems to drop things stone dead, they always run on a bit!
Its a 6,5 what did you expect ?
williecosgrove not a great advert for humane culling when everything runs on 50 yards before dropping on public video channel!

I have to agree with you. To young for my liking. He must have his reasons though
