I'm seriously offended by your thumbnail photo. Loretta Swit is an amazing actress and was phenomenal as hot lips Houlihan in MASH. You did her a big disservice by posting that obviously retouched picture.
The picture of Russell Crowe in "Gladiator" was the same type of thing. These are not retouched pictures, rather some of the worst you can find of those Stars. That being said, my impression of Loretta Swit in real life was based on some Custom Tile that she unfairly brought back due to, (in my view), acceptable Color Variation that she did not like. Even if I am mistaken about the Variation Loretta was not a nice person in that real life instance, rather mean.

In the UK, MASH was shown on the BBC. So, it had no commercial breaks, plus, it had no laugh track. It was thought the UK audience was more attuned to the message of the show and didn't need the laugh-clues to boost the comedy, or tone down the war.
D.O.Steirs did narration for that wonderful history series on NEW YORK CITY , on PBS back in late 90's !!!!! You couldn't hardly tear me away from the TV !!!! I.love old history docs , information shows , ect......took.lots of notes on it , nite after nite !!! Would love to see again .....and visit that city someday , and haunt those old buildings and sites !!!🏘️🏙️🏛️

I got to meet many Hollywood and sports celebrities through my career in the 80's , just a handful stood out as really good people. I include Loretta Switt in that group. I enjoyed a warm sunny afternoon giving her a tour of the thoroughbred farm I managed at the time. She was polite , friendly , a class act and that 1000 lumen smile was real and natural. She is a real lady .
My husband and I hosted Loretta in our home in Las Cruces, NM a couple times and fell in love with her, as we did with her as "Hotlips" in the series. She is a lovely, caring person who in no way resembles the "Now" image you present of her. SHAME! That photo should be banned!
I remember rushing home from school to watch this. I actually cried when they ended it. The single pic of "Margaret was obviously redone, as the pic of her with someone else didn't look nothing like the pic they showed!

I liked nurse Kelly, I wish she had a bigger part, I like when Klinger walked into colonel potter's in one of his outfits, Potter never seemed to get annoyed, sometimes praised his choice of outfit.
Potter was certainly hard boiled in his seen it all attitude, and yes, Kelly was a very caring nurse, even to being close to those soldiers too badly wounded to survive.
Nobody wants to die young and old age is what ya strive for but I'm almost 60 now and I can say this... Dying of old age can be the hardest way to go. You get to watch all your friends and loved ones get sick,old suffer and die then you get to live the rest of your life alone except for maybe some kids that live a million miles away if you don't live long enough to watch your kids die Heaven forbid. Last but surely not least is you'll likely live out the rest of your life alone being abused in a nursing home where they steal your meds and ignore you then you die and they discard you in a pine box in an unmarked grave where they'll dig you up and study your skeletal remains and talk about how you lived 1000 years ago a happy healthy human that lived a normal life
