Helloooo,, wonderful and very explained. Thank you very much for the teaching. I´m learning with you and I appreciate your classes. Greetings from a distance and blessings.
Now this is the PERFECT tutorial!!!!! Explained in detail and reiterated (perfect for a newbie like myself). Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!! Also … Would you be able to do a tutorial on a T box cushion please.?
That’s very very kind, thank you!! We do actually have a T shaped box cushion tutorial on our academy if you wanted to have a look - www.thefaceliftacademy.com - it’s super detailed and probably a bit too long for the UA-cam algorithm to favour (as I’ve sadly learnt over the years!) but have a look if you’re interested in joining 😊🙏🏻 Thank you for watching!! 😊🙏🏻
Ooh I’ve been looking to make these. Thanks so much for the tutorial. Id love to know how you got the cushion back in though. I always find that too hard. Any tips??
Hi Karen, glad you found it helpful, thank you for watching! We will actually be doing a tutorial on how to fill a seat cushion on the channel shortly, keep your eyes peeled 😊
I'm doing my first sofa ever and first sewing ever, so this video was perfect for beginner to learn. Thank you! 🙂🙏But do you also make top sewing for back cushion covers? Or is it only for sitting covers?
Exciting!! Glad you found it helpful 😊🙏🏻 remember the academy will help you even more if you would like it - www.thefaceliftacademy.com - there’s a 50% Black Friday discount available too if you use the code FRIDAY6 at the checkout 😊👍🏻
@@faceliftinteriors Nom I like it and it is very good and very clear and helpful - so thank you! I just wish you hadn't edited out all the tricky bits when sewing round the corners.
@@KarlSmith-p5r I’m glad you enjoyed the rest, thank you for watching. There are corners that aren’t edited out but it is tricky to get a good shot of it with the fabric bunching up and my fingers in the way. My tip is to just go slowly around the corners - manually wind the needle if you need to, make nips in the fabric so the fabric moves around the corner easier and just go slowly and carefully.
The advice to only adjust with the needle down is pure gold. If you lift the foot and the needle's up, it's all gonna go everywhere. If in doubt use the hand wheel to go one stitch at a time and my big takeaway is I'm going to start making those nips in the fabric from now on so it bends round the corner without moving into the third dimension.
Perfect tutorial. I'll give it a try. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed and found it helpful! Good luck and thanks for watching 😊🙏🏻

👋🏻🤣
Thank you !!!
Thank you for watching!! 😊🙏🏻
Do you use a special thread for stitching these cushions? Or just a suitable thread for the fabric?
I use a 36 or 40 thread for upholstery. 36 is the most popular 👍🧵✂️🪡⛏️
At every corner you kind of fudge it and don't show us exactly how to sew that part which it really the trickiest part of the the process.
Sorry Karl - there’s probably much better free tutorials out there for you, I hope you find one. I can’t please everyone, every time. All the best 👍🏻
