Do you have any experience with Kodiak brand picks? They're pricey, but are a different type of thumb pick, they work well for me. It's a standard gauge guitar pick and shape but it uses velcro and the non slip shelf liner stuff if you're familiar, to help the pick stay in place. I'm not sure if it's a sizing issue or sweat but I find brands like Dunlop and Daddario slide off my thumb easily, and I constantly have to re-adjust.
Hey there! I appreciate the heads up on Kodiak. I can't say I've heard of them, but will have to check them out after hearing this.
I had often wondered back before I found the Ultex material if there was a velcro option that could be utilized, it's cool to hear that someone experimented with that concept.
Like you, I've definitely dealt with my share of "loose thumbpicks" and up until about 4 years ago when I discovered the Ultex material ones by Dunlop this was a real issue.. I could not even begin to count how many varieties I went through before finding what I liked and what worked.
The Ultex material has a "stickiness" about it that grips my thumb and I've never lost one of these while playing and have really put them to the test in a bunch of different playing situations.
