Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed this double phase Capitano boss theme!
As we are approaching Natlan sooner or later and we know that we’ll be facing Capitano in Natlan, I think it’s a good time to finally make a double phase theme for him. The previous one I made was just a single fan-made battle theme without any phases. I wanted to create a similar treatment to Capitano as what I did to Arlecchino’s. So here it is!
The phase 1 was entirely new while the phase 2 was an improved version of the previous battle theme. I really liked the previous one I made so what I did was to polish it even further and added subtle electronic elements to it. I tried to find the flaws in the original one and tried my best to improve the flaws and I hope you can feel the difference! Meanwhile, the phase 1 theme was more focused on the electronic aspect. I have been enjoying sound design a lot these past few weeks and I hope to showcase some of it in the phase 1 theme. And I personally think it’s fitting as well since I wanted to capture the terror that Capitano might give us if we ever have to face him in a fight.
I had a lot of fun making this one and it’s good to be back with double phase videos as it is very entertaining for me and challenges my skill as well. If the Capitano is just an ordinary human who is so ridiculously strong and overpowered to take 1st rank in the strongest teyvat military organization among the various strongest creatures of teyvat, then this is simply unbelievable and will increase his badassery beyond the limits

i believe the bloodstained chivalry set states that he witnessed the khaenriah remains in the abyss and since he was so devoted to bringing justice and killing enemies he saw that khaenriah is the result of a worldwide injustice so he probably (i assume) joined the fatui because theyre ultimately going to do justice to the world by setting up a new world without celestia? i remember there being a mention of a new world , someone correct me if im wrong

It's funny how, despite being the strongest harbinger (besides maybe Pierro), Capitano is arguably the "nicest" harbinger, too
- Beloved by pretty much the entire fatui
- Left Varka and his expedition in peace and even gained his respect
- Actually has a moral code and doesn't just go around murderhobo-ing like everyone else
Part of me wonders if it's going to turn out that's he's actually trying to be diplomatic in Natlan, but outside forces are merely going to cause him to have to fight.
I have a feeling like his tolerance levels would be very high, and he would try his best to be diplomatic and peaceful, trying to take the pyro gnosis without causing destruction or fights.. but all we know, it won't end up in peace.

Most anticipated and intriguing character ever for me.
So, you have to fight with Capitano, the first Fatui Harbinger and the strongest man in Teyvat. His authority and aura tell you, traveler, that you will die if you try to resist him. However, you can't retreat that easily, right? You try to hit him, but in vain, he easily dodges them. Sometimes he lets himself be hit on purpose, but for him it's nothing more than an unpleasant bite. You realize that you are in a shoddy position. The noble Capitano transforms into his last form and delivers one powerful blow. That's it, this is the end. But suddenly…

Capitano is actualy not the the first fatui harbinger. That title will go to Pierro. The Captain is most likely the 5th fatui harbinger despite his name being the captain. Pierro is 1st, The Doctor is 2nd, Columbina is 3rd and the Knave is 4th however we can only speculate atp.
Pierre is the Director, not a Harbinger himself. The Captain is the first, he is ‘the strongest human in teyvat’ after all.

There's explanation.
Why Capitano is 1st and strongest fatui member no doubt?
1. The order of the voicelines of Tartaglia and the Wanderer corresponds to the ranking perfectly, it doesn't make sense for everyone to observe the ranks except for the Capitano.
2. Tartaglia says that he is ranked too low for Capitano and he doesn't even notice him, he also notes that Capitano is too strong in battle and Tartaglia wants recognition from him, he admires him the most and he respects strongest individuals, what makes sense for Capitano and his possibly title of "strongest individual in teyvat "
3.There are many leaks about the ranks, the strength of the Capitano and the concept art in which they stand in the order of ranks.
4. He asks Dottore about the gnosis situation as a superior.
5. There is a lot of praise and mentions of his absurd,incredibe power.Even Scaramouche, who tends to belittle everyone and does not praise anyone, nevertheless, even he gives the highest rating to Capitano, he say that Capitano possesses the apex of strength in cn, and at the same time he says how weak and more lower-ranked all the harbingers under him are, Varka says that Capitano is basically gods challenger, hard as iron and capable of destroying ruin guards with klee crayon, John Wick of teyvat.Jean says that Varka did not give such a description to anyone despite his character, and we should be careful if we meet him and not underestimate him.Varka's expedition and Mika were stunned and scared by the overpowerwd Capitano's presence aloe.
Other fatui constantly praise him according to the Wanderer, in cn he also says that Capitano has countless military achievements and he is extremely dangerous.
6. It makes sense why he was sent to the warlike Natlan in the lands of the god of war, Pyro Archon, being the strongest harbinger, pinnacle of main antagonists now.We most likely see Capitano vs Pyro Archon for the last gnosis.
7. Pierro was never named as the first rank, but only as the "original harbinger" in Chinese, in the teaser, unlike the other harbingers, he is signed as "director fatui" he not ranked.
8.he is even the one who teased and hyped instead of archon in 4.2 aq and should play important role, in cn version of aq he is said to be extremely powerful
I wish there will be showdown between Murata and Capitano and Murata will say:
"So, you are the strongest man in Teyvat... But you are still just a man..."
And then Capitano will proceed to totally obliterate Murata
This gives me the impression of both a menacing yet also noble warrior. I believe that his cause is a just one. My belief is that you fight a man who goes to war to end it. The idea that you are fighting a righteous man is even more terrifying than if you're fighting an evil one. After all, what do you do when two protagonist like characters meet on the battlefield? Who's to say that you're right and he's wrong? What if you're in the wrong here? His morals against yours. Would you even be the good guy anymore?

You heard that he was "human", so a part of you thought he won't be THAT hard...right ?
Right...?
Wrong, he may be "human", but he's not "just human"...and on top of his physical durability, he posses powerful "sharp" attacks that can bleed you
In his first phase, he has 100k HP, representing our belief that he won't be "that" hard due to his human nature, but has 99% damage reduction, turning your hundred thousand damages into mere thousands, as a symbol of his strength, because he will always...ALWAYS...block your attacks. He only attacks physically, but still manages to put you in a hard time, as your HP will bleed when you take a damage from him, removing 5% of the max HP every second after you take a hit, shielded or not, whatever attack he does.
You then slowly but surely began to tire him with weak attacks, and that allows you to force this "human" to get serious, showing his true nature...a monster...once we chipped him into 2.5k HP, showing a more twisted side of him...here, you figured out why Capitano has people rooting and admiring him...because he always gives his 100%...but this time...he's going to give you his 300%...
He only has 2500 "HP" this time, but no matter how strong you attack, they are no more than mosquito bites to him, giving only 1 damage to him. He also attacks with all kinds of 7 elements in such a genius combination, showing that warfare isn't just about strength, and that a true warrior must have admirable wits. The bleed became twice as strong, and deadlier. He also has an instant kill move using all the 7 elements delusions simultaneously, along with various powerful attacks that removes an absurd amount of HP...
You found out just how dangerous this monster is, but you have no time to worry about that...because your only choice now is to beat this monster by throwing all you can think of at him, hoping they will somehow work...
Shortly...
1st phase :
Physical only
100k HP (Basically 10m if the damage reduction is considered)
2nd phase :
Physical + 7 elements + reactions
2500 hits to beat, even your best DPS may fail you here...
Someone please pay this man!
The vibes this song gives me are insane. It really makes me feel like he is that one man army, I imagine him to be, based off of the descriptions we were given so far.

And Scaramouche had to obtain powers of a false God to be something and Dottore is known as second from his BC Sherlock asshole genius intelligence and endless schemes and potential alt accounts. This is just what we know as one man unmodified by delusion or vision.

Natlan is definitely gonna one of the most hyped up regions genshin has to offer bringing Capitano Himself The Strongest Man In Teyvat one who has the will to challenge gods and entire armies because he is the army HE IS THE CAPTAIN, and that we have no Natlan Npcs shown yet just makes us question alot of things about that region
But imagine if The Traveler Questioned him to be the Pyro Dragon Sovereign he would just say "Thats a fine assumption to make dear traveler but im afraid you're mistaken "IM ONLY HUMAN"... in the most badass way possible

He might not even have a real body in the end, just an entitity keeping the armor together, we don't know but that is unlikely to be true. But he will be something let me tell you.

Phase 1: An honorable death
(Capitano fights you unarmed.)
Battle of honor- food items are not allowed in this fight.
Autonomy in all things- swipes a backhand at player, dealing immense piercing physical dmg
All’s fair in war- grabs player and drags them across the floor, throwing them a distance away. This attack inflicts a heal block
Reflection, A mutual destruction- attacking Capitano in this phase deals equal dmg, of elemental or physical type to self
Touch Not The First Son- characters that are human in terms of species are incapable of attacking Capitano
Stand and Fight- punches the ground and unleashes AOE physical shockwave that shatters shields and inflicts a heal block
Strength but not power- swats an air wave at player, shattering shields and stunning them
Bludgeoning Charge- Runs toward player, knocking them down. This shatters shields and stuns them.
Passive: I cannot fall- Capitano is immune to elemental statuses, debuffs and cannot be staggered

Phase 2: No more do I fight like a man
(Capitano uses his claymore that periodically flips open to become a double sided blade)
Invader to Invader
-parries attacks by player and counters with a slash that deals two fold dmg of the same type he has received.
Untouchable as is God’s only child- capable of using super speed to traverse the battlefield.
Dragon Conqueror. Spiral Eater.
-all visions wielders cannot use elements. Nor can abyssal characters use abyss power
Winning chance- Capitano allows player to deal dmg to him in this state. But unleashes a blue laser from his eyes nearing the end, dealing abyss dmg.
Ultimate alliance: summons the shackled spirits of the dragon sovereigns and sends them to attack the player, dealing elemental dmg.
Life, Death, Time and Space-
Capitano creates 4 shades of himself. Life shade cannot be destroyed until all other shades are destroyed. Death shade kills player with a single attack. Time shade extends all debuffs on player and can heal Capitano and other shades. Space shade can imprison player and grant shields to other shades and Capitano.
Heir To The Great Creator>> Purity of Humanity- blade is infused with primeordial magic, unleashing a beam of power at the player. Nullifies all buffs on player.
To Die For Your Sins-
Abyssal thorns are uprooted from the ground and attack the player. Inflicts abyss status
Perish on your feet or Live on your knees- summons all seven elemental symbols that each act as anchors that are chained to you. Inflicts light status.
Salvation by Cruxification-
Sends a Primeordial Sybil barelling toward the player, inflicting them with Primeordial Judgement. Should player have either light or abyss status on them, the primeordial judgement kills them instantly
Brother in Phanes-
Unleashes an insta kill attack, trapping the player’s constellation turning the defeated character into a shade. The only way to avoid this is by entering an artifact domain erected on the battlefield

phase 3: Absolved Crusader, Sinless Usurper>> Capitano’s double bladed sword now transforms into a Gatling gun
Bullet points: sprays projectiles all over the field to do physical dmg
Consume The Sun, Gorge on Moonlight: Capitano transforms into a a giant ghostly specter where his mask spawns teeth and he chomps down on the player to deal an install primeordial judgement.
Sapphire Glare To The Abyssal Gaze: when player is afflicted by abyss status, Capitano plucks out one of his blue eyes and launches it at the player. While active character is inflicted with insta kill primeordial judgement, light status is blasted to all characters on standby
Only man is made in his image: creates primeordial clones that player must destroy. A single hit from them instakills. But each of them only have 1hp.
The right to inherit this earth: bashes the player with his gattler to launch them backwards. Then, absorbs masterless stardust from your currency and shoots a beam of energy that instakills. Stardust is refunded by 75% upon successfully defeating Capitano
By the glow of the holy: bashes the player with his gattler to launch them backwards. Then, absorbs masterless starglitter from your currency and shoots a beam of energy that instakills. Starglitters are refunded by 75% upon successfully defeating Capitano
I too come from a wish: bashes the player with his gattler to launch them backwards. Then, absorbs primogems from your currency and shoots a beam of energy that instakills. Primogems are refunded by 75% upon successfully defeating Capitano
Worship no other for my father is a jealous god: only human characters are spared from a highly destructive ultimate attack, where the rest are permanently killed, even outside the bossfight. Upon successfully defeating Capitano are archon/ adepti/ dragon characters resurrected.
Repent and be welcomed back to paradise: Capitano reveals his wings and encases the active character in an egg, sealing them permanently. They can only be freed by destroying the egg with celestial characters who at the point of the bossfight, have not yet been introduced to the game

After what just happened with Arlecchino, the traveler has no chance against the Captain currently
Capitano has the most badass design in the game and the bloodstained knight has the most badass lore in the game, so i am praying that they are the same person even though the knight is stated to have died in the abyss. This could also be the way they showcase Capitano in inazuma(possibly) as the knight trained under rostam, signora's lover, and he could possibly face-off against the shogun and establish his strength. Just a theory, of course.

We have come so far, and only a few harbingers left to uncover the surface level info about them. Natlan is next, and so is The Captain.

We don't actually know much about most of the Harbingers at all, including some we've met. We still don't know how strong Arlecchino or Dottore is in combat for example, or just overall what powers do they and the others have.
Actually, we don't even know what powers did Scaramouche have before turning into the Wanderer now that I think about it :D
And there are some tiny leaks saying that Capitano is not the main boss of Natlan so we might even not learn much about him

This Harbinger is giving me creeps after listening to this battle theme. You did wonderful Farabi, I am proud of you. You're doing way better and better, I adore your Harbingers boss battle themes and what I am really glad about is that you kind of put more vocals, not just instrumental which fits my heart so much!

I really hope Natlan Archon quest will surpass Fontaine's Archon quest knowing Natlan is a nation of dragons and war, I hope this quest will have more battle sequence, more hyped and badass characters and lastly a plot that will surpass Fontaine and Sumeru's. I'm setting my expectations high on this one knowing Capitano and Murata are also there 🔥
A bit late, but I really like the detail on phase 2, making emphasis on the fatui main leitmotif several times. As Capitano has been implied to be #1 of the harbingers, he represents the pinnacle of the fatui's might.
If he ever comes on screen during my Natlan exploring and exploiting, i would simply scream and die in his hands

I Remember when your previous version of capitanos boss theme came out and ive been listening to it on repeat ever since! I appreciate how you still kept the choir in phase 2. I dont know how to call it but that fast beat the "DUDUDUDU" in the background at 6:21 sounds so good. This is amazing!!!

I recently saw someone speculate that it would be awesome if Capitano was Genshin's equivalent of Lord Godfrey/Horah Loux from Elden Ring.
Just this absolute unit of a man whose sheer strength and will propelled them into rivaling and even besting others with godlike powers. His stomps crack and shake the earth and his claymore swings create gales of wind that push the traveler back.
I imagine in his first phase, he would have a greatshield with his delusion embedded in the front, alongside his own giant sword. Probably as a gift from the Fatui or even the Tsaritsa herself to emphasize his status as a protector and leader of his troops. Kind of like the Crucible knights from Elden Ring.
And then, at the start of his second phase, he realizes that his delusion of being a guardian is only holding him back, and so, he wrenches his delusion out of the shield, and then crushes it, tossing the now powerless shield to the side like it weights nothing.
Now, without anything holding him back, he two-hands his claymore to give us a proper fight, and addresses himself by his true name:
Sir Roland, the Bloodstained Knight

this is so cool!!! I've actually been wondering how the hoyo-mix team would make his boss theme if he does become one. I was thinking it could be cool if they made it very barbaric sounding, since they talk about him having incredible strength yet still being human. It'd be cool if his theme sounded like something made for vikings.

If we ever have to face Capitano in a battle, I'm sure Hoyo-mix will come up with a banger. I imagined it'll involve organic sounds since we are in Natlan and probably accompanied with electronic elements?
I personally believe we will fight him like Raiden Shogun and lose in Natlan to later fight him again in Snezhnaya. Instead we will fight with Dottore or Columbina in Natlan, similar to how they teased Scaramouch since Mondstadt/Inazuma.
More my personal wish: or even he hunting us on for the gnosis like Death in Puss in Boots 2 or the famous Nemesis/Mr.X in RE. Capitano: "You're not living up to the legend, Traveler. Pick it up and fight me Traveler".
Honestly, him being the one who humiliates the traveller would be so peak. Last time the traveller actually got a loss was Inazuma act 2. That exact "you're not living up to the legend" quote would be perfect for the no.1 harbinger.

Idk why, maybe the way Fatui were handled in fontaine and Capitano being the one good harbinger we know about makes me think we might actually be on his side. Most predict Capitano vs Pyro Archon battle, the god of war vs the mortal who embodies justice and honor. Might be facinating if we end up caught up between them.

This is a GREAT fan-theme. Hell you even included the Harbinger Leitmotif at 5:54, it very much fits what little we know of him for now. Amazing work, gonna listen to it a few more times for sure.
