Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed this double phase Capitano boss theme! As we are approaching Natlan sooner or later and we know that we’ll be facing Capitano in Natlan, I think it’s a good time to finally make a double phase theme for him. The previous one I made was just a single fan-made battle theme without any phases. I wanted to create a similar treatment to Capitano as what I did to Arlecchino’s. So here it is! The phase 1 was entirely new while the phase 2 was an improved version of the previous battle theme. I really liked the previous one I made so what I did was to polish it even further and added subtle electronic elements to it. I tried to find the flaws in the original one and tried my best to improve the flaws and I hope you can feel the difference! Meanwhile, the phase 1 theme was more focused on the electronic aspect. I have been enjoying sound design a lot these past few weeks and I hope to showcase some of it in the phase 1 theme. And I personally think it’s fitting as well since I wanted to capture the terror that Capitano might give us if we ever have to face him in a fight. I had a lot of fun making this one and it’s good to be back with double phase videos as it is very entertaining for me and challenges my skill as well. It's funny how, despite being the strongest harbinger (besides maybe Pierro), Capitano is arguably the "nicest" harbinger, too - Beloved by pretty much the entire fatui - Left Varka and his expedition in peace and even gained his respect - Actually has a moral code and doesn't just go around murderhobo-ing like everyone else Part of me wonders if it's going to turn out that's he's actually trying to be diplomatic in Natlan, but outside forces are merely going to cause him to have to fight.
I have a feeling like his tolerance levels would be very high, and he would try his best to be diplomatic and peaceful, trying to take the pyro gnosis without causing destruction or fights.. but all we know, it won't end up in peace.

If the Capitano is just an ordinary human who is so ridiculously strong and overpowered to take 1st rank in the strongest teyvat military organization among the various strongest creatures of teyvat, then this is simply unbelievable and will increase his badassery beyond the limits
i believe the bloodstained chivalry set states that he witnessed the khaenriah remains in the abyss and since he was so devoted to bringing justice and killing enemies he saw that khaenriah is the result of a worldwide injustice so he probably (i assume) joined the fatui because theyre ultimately going to do justice to the world by setting up a new world without celestia? i remember there being a mention of a new world , someone correct me if im wrong
@@michaelmule4582 I know they've done a good job, its jsut that capitano has a few things about him that are cool but also different from all other characters that I worry they'll change him in a way. Like his mask for example, no other character just straight up never shows their face.
they handle characters like him perfectly, like reverent and intimidating but also noble. arlecchino is a good example what i fear is them messing up characters like dottore
I can imagine Pyro archon going full war with this man she brought the whole army and capitano showed up alone like "I am the army" ,that would be scary as f*** (great song by the way)
Imagine being considered the number 1 of fatui harbingers and strongest man in teyvat being "just a human" among the all demi-gods and other op shit like scara or dottore, he's hands down the most badass character in the game
And Scaramouche had to obtain powers of a false God to be something and Dottore is known as second from his BC Sherlock asshole genius intelligence and endless schemes and potential alt accounts. This is just what we know as one man unmodified by delusion or vision.
we will probably get our power spike in Natlan (God Of War and all) in some leaked voicelines they say that traveller gets some of the Pyro Archins powers tho(not confirmed)
This gives me the impression of both a menacing yet also noble warrior. I believe that his cause is a just one. My belief is that you fight a man who goes to war to end it. The idea that you are fighting a righteous man is even more terrifying than if you're fighting an evil one. After all, what do you do when two protagonist like characters meet on the battlefield? Who's to say that you're right and he's wrong? What if you're in the wrong here? His morals against yours. Would you even be the good guy anymore?

Moreover, this destruction can only improve and multyply them for both sides of conflict rather than solve them, i home this you can understand without any examples...

This attack inflicts a heal block Reflection, A mutual destruction- attacking Capitano in this phase deals equal dmg, of elemental or physical type to self Touch Not The First Son- characters that are human in terms of species are incapable of attacking Capitano Stand and Fight- punches the ground and unleashes AOE physical shockwave that shatters shields and inflicts a heal block Strength but not power- swats an air wave at player, shattering shields and stunning them Bludgeoning Charge- Runs toward player, knocking them down. This shatters shields and stuns them. Passive: I cannot fall- Capitano is immune to elemental statuses, debuffs and cannot be staggered ---------------- Phase 2: No more do I fight like a man (Capitano uses his claymore that periodically flips open to become a double sided blade) Invader to Invader -parries attacks by player and counters with a slash that deals two fold dmg of the same type he has received. Untouchable as is God’s only child- capable of using super speed to traverse the battlefield. Dragon Conqueror. Spiral Eater. -all visions wielders cannot use elements. Nor can abyssal characters use abyss power Winning chance- Capitano allows player to deal dmg to him in this state. But unleashes a blue laser from his eyes nearing the end, dealing abyss dmg. Ultimate alliance: summons the shackled spirits of the dragon sovereigns and sends them to attack the player, dealing elemental dmg. Life, Death, Time and Space- Capitano creates 4 shades of himself. Life shade cannot be destroyed until all other shades are destroyed. Death shade kills player with a single attack. Time shade extends all debuffs on player and can heal Capitano and other shades. Space shade can imprison player and grant shields to other shades and Capitano. Heir To The Great Creator>> Purity of Humanity- blade is infused with primeordial magic, unleashing a beam of power at the player. Nullifies all buffs on player. To Die For Your Sins- Abyssal thorns are uprooted from the ground and attack the player. Inflicts abyss status Perish on your feet or Live on your knees- summons all seven elemental symbols that each act as anchors that are chained to you. Inflicts light status. Salvation by Cruxification- Sends a Primeordial Sybil barelling toward the player, inflicting them with Primeordial Judgement. Should player have either light or abyss status on them, the primeordial judgement kills them instantly Brother in Phanes- Unleashes an insta kill attack, trapping the player’s constellation turning the defeated character into a shade. The only way to avoid this is by entering an artifact domain erected on the battlefield --------------- phase 3: Absolved Crusader, Sinless Usurper>> Capitano’s double bladed sword now transforms into a Gatling gun Bullet points: sprays projectiles all over the field to do physical dmg Consume The Sun, Gorge on Moonlight: Capitano transforms into a a giant ghostly specter where his mask spawns teeth and he chomps down on the player to deal an install primeordial judgement. Sapphire Glare To The Abyssal Gaze: when player is afflicted by abyss status, Capitano plucks out one of his blue eyes and launches it at the player. While active character is inflicted with insta kill primeordial judgement, light status is blasted to all characters on standby Only man is made in his image: creates primeordial clones that player must destroy. A single hit from them instakills. But each of them only have 1hp. The right to inherit this earth: bashes the player with his gattler to launch them backwards. Then, absorbs masterless stardust from your currency and shoots a beam of energy that instakills. Stardust is refunded by 75% upon successfully defeating Capitano By the glow of the holy: bashes the player with his gattler to launch them backwards. Then, absorbs masterless starglitter from your currency and shoots a beam of energy that instakills. Starglitters are refunded by 75% upon successfully defeating Capitano I too come from a wish: bashes the player with his gattler to launch them backwards. Primogems are refunded by 75% upon successfully defeating Capitano Worship no other for my father is a jealous god: only human characters are spared from a highly destructive ultimate attack, where the rest are permanently killed, even outside the bossfight. Upon successfully defeating Capitano are archon/ adepti/ dragon characters resurrected. Repent and be welcomed back to paradise: Capitano reveals his wings and encases the active character in an egg, sealing them permanently. They can only be freed by destroying the egg with celestial characters who at the point of the bossfight, have not yet been introduced to the game
Someone please pay this man! The vibes this song gives me are insane. It really makes me feel like he is that one man army, I imagine him to be, based off of the descriptions we were given so far. Definitely a step up from the previous version, as always keep up the good work^^

@@Squidyt1124 Hah, even that would be better, but in case you haven't played the Natlan's archon quest ACT 2, spoiler warning: Unfortunately he bears striking similarity to Tenoch, who just like what Capitano did in a fight, touched Mavuika with fists, and was talking about the "debt", which is commonly referencing the Fatui. I'm quite disappointed with what they're going for him.
The power gap between the third and the fourth is bigger than between fourth and eleven These trio Capitano, Columbina and Dottore are stronger than some archons
Start saving for this man, hopefully he is playable. He reminds me so much of Garland or Jack Garland from Final Fantasy and he is my favorite character.
This Harbinger is giving me creeps after listening to this battle theme. You did wonderful Farabi, I am proud of you. You're doing way better and better, I adore your Harbingers boss battle themes and what I am really glad about is that you kind of put more vocals, not just instrumental which fits my heart so much!

These are my expectations AT LEAST for a Capitano boss fight theme. Hoyo did well with Arlecchino (in my seemingly unpopular opinion I love ‘Chorus Cinericius’, ‘Sequentia Sequelarum’ and ‘Absolutio Absoluta Absolutissime’), but my expectations are nearly always set high for Hoyo with your tracks because they capture the essence of each character and setting SO WELL. Keep going man, cos you’re doing amazing!
I personally think Arlecchino's boss theme wasn't that bad! Though I do prefer Tartaglia's or Signora's battle theme. Knowing how good both of their themes are, Arlecchino's wasn't inferior compared to them in my opinion haha. Traveler couldn’t even get close to defeating Arlecchino who was the 4th, now imagine him just skipping 2nd and 3rd and going for the 1st one right away. Capitano will basically cook him alive lol.
You have a lot of talent, your melodies are brilliand. The melody for Capitano is awesome and suits his style perfectly. I hope he will also be a playable character, he is my favorite of the three Harbingers, next to Arlecchino and Tartaglia.
I really hope Natlan Archon quest will surpass Fontaine's Archon quest knowing Natlan is a nation of dragons and war, I hope this quest will have more battle sequence, more hyped and badass characters and lastly a plot that will surpass Fontaine and Sumeru's. I'm setting my expectations high on this one knowing Capitano and Murata are also there 🔥
I personally believe we will fight him like Raiden Shogun and lose in Natlan to later fight him again in Snezhnaya. Instead we will fight with Dottore or Columbina in Natlan, similar to how they teased Scaramouch since Mondstadt/Inazuma. More my personal wish: or even he hunting us on for the gnosis like Death in Puss in Boots 2 or the famous Nemesis/Mr.X in RE. Capitano: "You're not living up to the legend, Traveler. Pick it up and fight me Traveler".
Honestly, him being the one who humiliates the traveller would be so peak. Last time the traveller actually got a loss was Inazuma act 2. That exact "you're not living up to the legend" quote would be perfect for the no.1 harbinger.
I Remember when your previous version of capitanos boss theme came out and ive been listening to it on repeat ever since! I appreciate how you still kept the choir in phase 2. I dont know how to call it but that fast beat the "DUDUDUDU" in the background at 6:21 sounds so good. This is amazing!!!

Idk why, maybe the way Fatui were handled in fontaine and Capitano being the one good harbinger we know about makes me think we might actually be on his side. Most predict Capitano vs Pyro Archon battle, the god of war vs the mortal who embodies justice and honor. Might be facinating if we end up caught up between them.

this is so cool!!! I've actually been wondering how the hoyo-mix team would make his boss theme if he does become one. I was thinking it could be cool if they made it very barbaric sounding, since they talk about him having incredible strength yet still being human. It'd be cool if his theme sounded like something made for vikings.

This is superb. Very well done. I recently saw someone speculate that it would be awesome if Capitano was Genshin's equivalent of Lord Godfrey/Horah Loux from Elden Ring. Just this absolute unit of a man whose sheer strength and will propelled them into rivaling and even besting others with godlike powers. His stomps crack and shake the earth and his claymore swings create gales of wind that push the traveler back. I imagine in his first phase, he would have a greatshield with his delusion embedded in the front, alongside his own giant sword. Probably as a gift from the Fatui or even the Tsaritsa herself to emphasize his status as a protector and leader of his troops. Kind of like the Crucible knights from Elden Ring. And then, at the start of his second phase, he realizes that his delusion of being a guardian is only holding him back, and so, he wrenches his delusion out of the shield, and then crushes it, tossing the now powerless shield to the side like it weights nothing. Now, without anything holding him back, he two-hands his claymore to give us a proper fight, and addresses himself by his true name: Sir Roland, the Bloodstained Knight This whole piece felt like seeing this idea come to life. So thank you.
Il Capitano is the epithomy of coolness in genshin impact. He acts cool, his helmet is cool, his cloak is cool and he has the most badass name of all the fatui harbingers.
When I think of the name "Capitano" and this character's design, my immediate thoughts for a boss theme would be something similar to the OST "Die Mittsommernacht Fantasie". Use strings (especially cellos) as the foundation with electric and Spanish guitars. Make the first phase with the Spanish guitar. Compose it so it sounds evil yet warm. Whatever backstory Capitano has, try to match it with the Spanish guitar. As the second phase becomes more dangerous and frantic, slowly introduce the electric guitar in the transformation phase. This character will have zero EDM and feel both gothic and Spanish. He will have an Elden Ring vibe, heavily supported by strings. To match Il Capitano’s reference to the actual Italian play, add either a bright flute or violin that is outcasted in the second phase. Have it pop out and frantic as to signify Il Capitano’s rather scared nature. (Only if the Genshin character has a strong relation to the irl character)
Capitano... For his look and respect for every fatui for him. I think i can be no only the most strongest, but also it can be the general of the Sneshnayah's army. So it's also a tactician and a strategy mind. It means it can be the rival of Kokomi for strategy and Tactician mind, in the nation of war

Yes! Yes! I was waiting for this Natlan around the corner. Finally we get to see the righteous, stoic captain of the Fatui Harbingers (I assume). This rhythm and choir really suits the fact that he is likely one of the strongest beings in Teyvat. His battle will surely one of the toughest in the game!

UghhhhHHHH THIS JUST GETS CHILLS DOWN MY SPINE.. He’s the one harbinger I’ve been DYING to freakin meet and now he’s coming. It’s literally giving “calm before the storm” but you can still hear its thunder. Terrifyingly amazing.
Hopefully we don't have any problems with Capitano. I'm honestly expecting it to be like Arlecchino. No boss fights, just collaborating to accomplish the same goal.

I can easily imagine how they would give Capitano a "Godstep" like Isshin Ashina from Sekiro, where he'd just take a step aside to dodge an attack of the Traveler and then instantly counter hits them! Like no dash, no blink, no port, just a normal human step aside.

This is a GREAT fan-theme. Hell you even included the Harbinger Leitmotif at 5:54, it very much fits what little we know of him for now. Amazing work, gonna listen to it a few more times for sure. Personally hoping his official boss theme will have some more Orchestral Heavy (and/or) Industrial Metal, really just out of personal preference and overal baddassery
This is really good, Capitano with the tiltle: the Captain, is a very Self-righteous person and is the strongest Person in Teyvat, his entrance into the story would be like this, given that he will show up in Natlan, a place of War and chaos, and its like hes Ushering himself in at the beginning of phase one, Phase 2 is the main fight where he starts to take the fight seriously and at the end will be his last burst of energy which would be very climatic, Good job, earns my approval.

This gives me the impression of both a menacing yet also noble warrior. I believe that his cause is a just one. My belief is that you fight a man who goes to war to end it. The idea that you are fighting a righteous man is even more terrifying than if you're fighting an evil one. After all, what do you do when two protagonist like characters meet on the battlefield? Who's to say that you're right and he's wrong? What if you're in the wrong here? His morals against yours. Would you even be the good guy anymore?

Autonomy in all things- swipes a backhand at player, dealing immense piercing physical dmg
All’s fair in war- grabs player and drags them across the floor, throwing them a distance away. This attack inflicts a heal block
Reflection, A mutual destruction- attacking Capitano in this phase deals equal dmg, of elemental or physical type to self
Touch Not The First Son- characters that are human in terms of species are incapable of attacking Capitano
Stand and Fight- punches the ground and unleashes AOE physical shockwave that shatters shields and inflicts a heal block
Strength but not power- swats an air wave at player, shattering shields and stunning them
Bludgeoning Charge- Runs toward player, knocking them down. This shatters shields and stuns them.
Passive: I cannot fall- Capitano is immune to elemental statuses, debuffs and cannot be staggered

(Capitano uses his claymore that periodically flips open to become a double sided blade)
Invader to Invader
-parries attacks by player and counters with a slash that deals two fold dmg of the same type he has received.
Untouchable as is God’s only child- capable of using super speed to traverse the battlefield.
Dragon Conqueror. Spiral Eater.
-all visions wielders cannot use elements. Nor can abyssal characters use abyss power
Winning chance- Capitano allows player to deal dmg to him in this state. But unleashes a blue laser from his eyes nearing the end, dealing abyss dmg.
Ultimate alliance: summons the shackled spirits of the dragon sovereigns and sends them to attack the player, dealing elemental dmg.
Life, Death, Time and Space-
Capitano creates 4 shades of himself. Life shade cannot be destroyed until all other shades are destroyed. Death shade kills player with a single attack. Time shade extends all debuffs on player and can heal Capitano and other shades. Space shade can imprison player and grant shields to other shades and Capitano.
Heir To The Great Creator>> Purity of Humanity- blade is infused with primeordial magic, unleashing a beam of power at the player. Nullifies all buffs on player.
To Die For Your Sins-
Abyssal thorns are uprooted from the ground and attack the player. Inflicts abyss status
Perish on your feet or Live on your knees- summons all seven elemental symbols that each act as anchors that are chained to you. Inflicts light status.
Salvation by Cruxification-
Sends a Primeordial Sybil barelling toward the player, inflicting them with Primeordial Judgement. Should player have either light or abyss status on them, the primeordial judgement kills them instantly
Brother in Phanes-
Unleashes an insta kill attack, trapping the player’s constellation turning the defeated character into a shade. The only way to avoid this is by entering an artifact domain erected on the battlefield

Sapphire Glare To The Abyssal Gaze: when player is afflicted by abyss status, Capitano plucks out one of his blue eyes and launches it at the player. While active character is inflicted with insta kill primeordial judgement, light status is blasted to all characters on standby
Only man is made in his image: creates primeordial clones that player must destroy. A single hit from them instakills. But each of them only have 1hp.
The right to inherit this earth: bashes the player with his gattler to launch them backwards. Then, absorbs masterless stardust from your currency and shoots a beam of energy that instakills. Stardust is refunded by 75% upon successfully defeating Capitano

These are my expectations AT LEAST for a Capitano boss fight theme. Hoyo did well with Arlecchino (in my seemingly unpopular opinion I love ‘Chorus Cinericius’, ‘Sequentia Sequelarum’ and ‘Absolutio Absoluta Absolutissime’), but my expectations are nearly always set high for Hoyo with your tracks because they capture the essence of each character and setting SO WELL. Keep going man, cos you’re doing amazing!
I personally think Arlecchino's boss theme wasn't that bad! Though I do prefer Tartaglia's or Signora's battle theme. Knowing how good both of their themes are, Arlecchino's wasn't inferior compared to them in my opinion haha.

I recently saw someone speculate that it would be awesome if Capitano was Genshin's equivalent of Lord Godfrey/Horah Loux from Elden Ring.
Just this absolute unit of a man whose sheer strength and will propelled them into rivaling and even besting others with godlike powers. His stomps crack and shake the earth and his claymore swings create gales of wind that push the traveler back.
I imagine in his first phase, he would have a greatshield with his delusion embedded in the front, alongside his own giant sword. Probably as a gift from the Fatui or even the Tsaritsa herself to emphasize his status as a protector and leader of his troops. Kind of like the Crucible knights from Elden Ring.
And then, at the start of his second phase, he realizes that his delusion of being a guardian is only holding him back, and so, he wrenches his delusion out of the shield, and then crushes it, tossing the now powerless shield to the side like it weights nothing.
Now, without anything holding him back, he two-hands his claymore to give us a proper fight, and addresses himself by his true name:

When I think of the name "Capitano" and this character's design, my immediate thoughts for a boss theme would be something similar to the OST "Die Mittsommernacht Fantasie". Use strings (especially cellos) as the foundation with electric and Spanish guitars. Make the first phase with the Spanish guitar. Compose it so it sounds evil yet warm. Whatever backstory Capitano has, try to match it with the Spanish guitar. As the second phase becomes more dangerous and frantic, slowly introduce the electric guitar in the transformation phase. This character will have zero EDM and feel both gothic and Spanish. He will have an Elden Ring vibe, heavily supported by strings.
To match Il Capitano’s reference to the actual Italian play, add either a bright flute or violin that is outcasted in the second phase. Have it pop out and frantic as to signify Il Capitano’s rather scared nature. (Only if the Genshin character has a strong relation to the irl character)

I can easily imagine how they would give Capitano a "Godstep" like Isshin Ashina from Sekiro, where he'd just take a step aside to dodge an attack of the Traveler and then instantly counter hits them! Like no dash, no blink, no port, just a normal human step aside.

This is a GREAT fan-theme. Hell you even included the Harbinger Leitmotif at 5:54, it very much fits what little we know of him for now. Amazing work, gonna listen to it a few more times for sure.
Personally hoping his official boss theme will have some more Orchestral Heavy (and/or) Industrial Metal, really just out of personal preference and overal baddassery
This is really good, Capitano with the tiltle: the Captain, is a very Self-righteous person and is the strongest Person in Teyvat, his entrance into the story would be like this, given that he will show up in Natlan, a place of War and chaos, and its like hes Ushering himself in at the beginning of phase one, Phase 2 is the main fight where he starts to take the fight seriously and at the end will be his last burst of energy which would be very climatic, Good job, earns my approval.
