This video really was a tough one. I would like to make special mention that if anyone wishes to try this type of fishing. Do your research - there are many online forums. And most of all be safe. Take care and tight lines. 😊👍🏻🎣

Not much to add to the comments you all ready have received, just really appreciate the effort you put in to bringing us such great entertainment. Agree with other comments that these magnificent creatures deserve some kind of protection and be treated with the respect that the two of you demonstrated in this upload. I would never target these fish unless I was with an experienced angler who knew what he was doing.
They are protected from commercial pressure and strongholds for the species are protected from any types of commercial fishing. Conservation for the species is working really well. 👍🏻🎣
Exactly David - to hook one of these magnificent creatures is one thing - landing them and making sure they’re treated with respect is another. These guys showed how much experience and dedication is needed when tackling up for big fish. We all need to be realistic and fish within our limits of experience and physical strength. I caught some 25lb carp from my friends fishery recently and was knackered afterwards. This is on another level !
@@peterelmer9114 Precisely why I think Fish Locker is the best channel if you want to learn to fish responsibly. All his videos teach us conservation. Yes he will take fish for the table but unlike some I've seen in particular on charter boat fishing it's a massacre. I gave up coarse fishing after catching 18 carp in an afternoon session (Biggest 18lb my personal best) and at least 50% had torn mouths I assume from anglers using the wrong breaking strain line. I am now concentrating on sea fishing which I've only done three times. I was fortunate to have help from some great sea anglers who helped me from casting through to unhooking the few fish I've caught. I don't know why but sea anglers have proved far more helpful than Coarse. Thank you for your response.
Absolutely brilliant, theirs no place where I live that you could target skate from shore, I'm sure people hook em here n there probably up the point of ayre where for a while the largest tope in the UK was caught from shore but I think in a matter of weeks someone on the mainland broke the record again. Anyway it's a hell of a good spot the tides and water current make it a NO swimming area and I'm pretty sure that the reason it's good for tope is cuz or the current bouncing bait fish all over the place so a mackerel flapper rig grip lead trace sends the scent far n wide.
Absolutely fantastic fishing John & Tom and those two fish you featured were absolute behemoths. Fantastic video lads and definitely need more fishing in this area in the future 👍
Thankyou for making fishing so interesting. As a young girl I sat very bored with my father fishing on the Rver Trent, or from Brighton Pier and never really got it, but captaving, educational and a real joy you made this, I know the locations and fish are very different but it was so enjoyable, thanks.

When I go to my local lake and do a spot of fishing for cats. As soon as that line goes and it has hundred metres in seconds and then it’s locked up for about half an hour. And when you get it so close that you can see the swirls knowing it’s only 6 feet under but can’t see it. And then the line goes really slack and the hook pulls that is a feeling that you’re never gonna let go. To me it’s like having your heart ripped out by a loved one saying that they don’t love you anymore is that bad when it comes to fishing. Keep up the amazing work. Dave

Hi John again a beautiful video together with your friend Tom beautifully displayed and really very nice to see I can watch here for hours it is here in the province of zeeland at the moment very moderate with the fishing off the beach only a lot of small stuff whiting / flounders and dab here and there a codling but not really very wild we are just coming out of lockdown again so probably may from tomorrow almost visit everything again so you can also book a charter boat again to fish with the boat hopefully we can then go back on the codling and some larger whiting / pouting but have enjoyed your video again I am already looking forward to the next hopefully another one of the boat John greets and stay safe

The whole video really was a massive effort and a team success. I couldn’t have done it without Tom. I am really glad there was something worth showing in a video. 😊💙🎣
@@TheFishLocker Hes a great fisherman and its great that he shared his mark and knowledge with you to make this video possible, epic result from both of you
wow what a monster and from a rock mark, most anglers would find it hard to beleave you can get such a big fish from the shore and on a beach caster
This really is edge of the envelope for possibility though isn’t it. Gear, rigs and angler needs to be on point or it could all end in tears very easily.
Outstanding John and to think you guys actually dropped a couple as well now that’s a top mark sore arms for the night champ. All the very best 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏴🏴🏴
You can’t expect to land them all but we did ok I think. 😊👍🏻
Yes thanks again again what sings from Switzerland 🇨🇭 love much your video wow 🤩✌🏼😍
Thank you very much. 😊👍🏻
Like all of your videos, this an epic one. Wish the fishing was half as good in my part of the coast.
Glad you enjoyed it. 😊👍🏻

Love it, great video again just like always
Thanks
Got a few boat videos coming up don't you worry. 😉
Those big mother's can make you work really hard. Well done and great video again 👍

It was my pleasure mate. I hope you all had a fine time down here and thank you for the offer. I don’t know when I’ll next be up in Brid. I might even bring my boat. Take care and best wishes to the family bud 😉👍🏻

Good stuff. Hoping to get up to Scotland camping and fishing for ten days or so later on in the year. Must have been quite an exciting journey getting there too. Enjoyed the geology lesson last week. What a good subject! Slightly, peeved.
Tight lines!
Tom and I have some great trips planned. 👍🏻
I enjoyed your video so much i had to watch it twice
Fantastic. That’s what I like to hear. 😊
Seen that pin for the vid could not go past it! This is posted before watching I know I will enjoy this
I hope you enjoy it. 😉👍🏻
Yep that was everything I thought it would be! That's no joke catching them from shore. Its up there with the bluefin videos well done for making it happen! I've never cought one myself but have seen them cought from shore (without giving away exact locations) lough swilly in donegal Ireland is an interesting place to look at for skate and I know a few people have actively looked for six gills from the same marks. Thank you for uploading 👌🐟
Well that was well worth see the fish locker fishing from my home country great and we have big fish like you do 😂😂 they were fantastic thanks for that John and Tom till the next one stay safe tight lines
We had a blast. 😊🎣
Great angling guys especially from the shore

Simply incredible aren’t they. 😊🎣
@@TheFishLocker as if you replied… yeah mate an amazing creature apart from some of the sharks probably the most impressive in our waters …. We get loads of thorn backs down my way in Essex would love to fight one of these great job !!!!!
@@masonbillington2641 I do my best to reply to everyone but sometimes one or two slip through. If you do get the chance to try and catch these it is a real effort but lots of fun. 👍🏻🎣
Awesome fish! Congrats guys!
Thanks Nigel. 😊
