I remember the day that my Son heard a loud crack from his Jeep TJ as he was driving home. He asked me to look at it. 42” of frame rusted out from the inside and cracked. Thus began the odyssey of tearing it apart, prepping a good frame, putting a lift kit on, going over the engine, driveline, and putting it all back in. Of course I had to replace the driver’s side torque box and weld it in… and weld up the floor to repair it… and then throw the body back on. New brakes…. Lines… Tune up…. The works. It was a pain in the butt, but we spent a lot of time together, and my Dad helped out too. Great experience!!! I took lots of pics and some video for the memories. By the way…. That was a Spotted Salamander for anyone who wanted to know. 😎. Thanks for the video Dan!!! Stay Safe Folks!!! 🇺🇸
That had everything in it, humour, you slipping on the ice and then a cool song as you dropped :) Then the kinda strip down that could only be regarded as a nightmare, it was when Jesse's boys showed up, and then Jesse himself that I felt relief for you. Jesse is one of the best engineers I have ever seen, it is not difficult to see where he gets it from. Fantastic, thankyou :)
Didn’t drop a single sware word. What kind of saint is this guy? That’s a huge project to take on in your damned gravel drive, good job old timer. You’re a role model.
Have to give you credit Dan, digging into that tractor so deep! The 4 wheel drive on my Ford 1310 stopped working and I am trying to figure out where to begin. Great video!
All that work without a manual ! Maybe it was better that way, because the diagrams might have been scary ! Great that it worked properly after reassembling everything.
Been using jiggle hose for years. I suggest you try not bending the tube as tight so it stays round as possible. Jiggle till pipe is full and a siphon effect will take over … ensure you have sufficient containers as it does drain quickly… good luck with the repairs hope it holds
Happy New Year 38:00 Ooops. 39:44 The penny drops - I feel your pain Dan. 41:27 One of life's eternal mysteries? 6 months later - and it's working again. Persistance pays off…
Dan, I couldn't tell from the video. Please tell me you replaced all 4 spider gears. It seems like from the video you didn't replace the inner gear. I hope it just wasn't filmed. With those gears being different sizes, they will wear out quick, if you only replaced 3 of the 4 gears.
people dont realize how much footage it takes to make a video you only see a fraction of what we record and thats why some people run their mouth about how we didn't do this or didn't do that , we just cant show everthing if we did this would have been a 6 hr vid lol

Dan - You're a far braver man than I, going that deep in to the back end of a tractor... Nice repair :)
yea i wasn't happy doing it
Excellent video. Love that your family willing to assist you. God bless you and your family.
thanks

thanks
Nice to see Mrs W is wearing her protective sandals 😂😂
yea its hard to find steel toed flip flops but she got them

looking for parts with their diagrams was tough
well, that escalated quickly!...not afraid to tackle that ordeal. that is impressive.
thanks
Drives me crazy not to take 15mins to pressure wash before disassembly lol
yea i need to get one cause i spent an hr cleaning it out when i was done
@@danwheeler5130 💯
Dan what a frustrating tear down and repair that was feel for you buddy
it never seamed to end lol
Great job Dan.
That Mrs W is definitely a keeper too.

it came through with a kink in it but it did work
Great job. I thought for a moment you were going to have modern tractor yard art.
lol so did i
Hard work, heavy parts,
Respect
thanks
Congratulations. This wasn't a small job by any means.
Helluva job!
Happy New Year

IT DOES
I know I learned a lesson watching this video....pressure wash the machine before disassembly.
yea i need to get one

Can only 🫡👏well done sir 🇬🇧
thanks
Yeah those spider gears really too small for a tractor that size. Doesn't help when everyone runs them like 988 Cat loaders haha
yea and I do lol
That was hard ...
it was lol
Did you find out how the water contaminated the fluid?
i didn't see anything obvious i hope it was condensation it hasn't ever been changed and never seamed over full
How the he'll you remember how to reassemble it wouldn't want to purchase it second hand
made a vid

keep that video, you may need it
That didn't look like any kind of fun at all.
it was not
IS all the surface rust that got on all the parts not a problem?? Not trying to be a dick I am truly wondering about it??
it is all bathed in oil and i cleaned off the ones that matter
@@danwheeler5130 Freaking amazing that you got it back together. Love you, Jessie, Andrew, and Nononsense videos. Keep them coming guys!!!
Can't stand that womans singing, admire her working drive & strength though.
your in the minority on that
