In this video, witness the artistry of knife making unfold from the very beginning. I take you through the mesmerizing forging process, shaping the blade's overall form, and forging in the primary bevels, all the while creating a solid full tang handle for optimal grip.
The magic happens on the belt grinder, where I finesse the knife's profile and forge those bevels to perfection, progressing through multiple grits to achieve the final polished finish. Watch closely as I employ various grinder attachments, on the Revolution 2x72 belt grinder made by @HouseMadeUS ensuring every contour of the knife meets my exacting standards.
But the journey doesn't stop there! Dive into the intriguing world of acid etching with ferric chloride, revealing an exquisite, unique finish on the blade. I demonstrate the meticulous use of steel wool and metal buffing compound to ensure an even, lustrous result.
