Great testing methods! I ordered the Bissell yesterday and was having regrets today looking at the Shark, but your review has me happy in my decision again!
2 things. The Shark you didnt let it heat up to a steam. Also when you did the towel test you completely missed the area you mopped down the center. A better test would have been a dried food stain test.
I have the Bissell Symphony and intrigued about getting one of the scrubber from Shark or Bissell. After seeing your review and noting comments of others, these do not perform well as a scrubber; ok for maintenance but not for any sort of cleaning. Thanks, you save me money and additional clutter.
We have had both for our cleaning services, and the shark is a far better product for deep cleans. You shouldn't use either one as a solo mop. They both just move the dirty around, but the Shark is far better at removing hard to removed spots.
Guess it depends on your usage. In my tests and from experience using both I found the Bissell cleans better. And that it repeated in the test results.
Is there anything that you do that vacmaster might have done a bit differently. I just got the Shark and thought he did a wonderful thorough job on testing. I'll know Monday with my own experience. I have distilled ready and I've used buffers and polishers, so this will be a good test now from my findings.
You have a poor memory of where you had just cleaned. Your test clean with paper towel where you used Shark was a good six inches to the left of where you used the shark.
Thanks for the video! I'm just wondering if there is a big difference between the Bissell powerfresh 1940 and the deluxe? You seem to have tried and like both but is one better than the other? Thanks!
Grest test! The only comment I have is that it appeared the Shark hadn't heated up enough to produce steam. The Bissell heats up almost immediately. The Shark takes longer.
@@VacMaster1991 I just didn't notice the steam coming out, as on some of the other reviews. The Bissell seems to steam up nicely. I don't think either were designed for the tough test you put them thtough, so I was suprised they actually didn't do that bad. At the end of the day, I don't think anythingis going to beat elbow grease and some good floor cleaner. These look great for touch-ups between the thorough cleanings.
@VacMaster1991 I have used my new s7001 several times now, and other than a few minor quips, I have been most completely satisfied. I found that the spin pads are 100% microfiber and slow and easy worked wonders. Then I'm using my Eufy hybrid for general lighter duty mopping. If I see a patch of something I spill, I do a bend down with a light cleaner and follow up with the Shark. My floors now look amazing
thanks for this. i was debating between the two and didn't think someone would have made a comparison vid. do you think these machines would be good for cleaning textured porcelain tile with grooves?
I noticed you the shark settings on low, what's settings was the bissell on? I use my shark on high and it clean like a charm, I going to get the bissell and test it out
@@VacMaster1991 Bought the shark because it has steam and we have 450 sq ft of textured tile. Came today and did a small area. Machine is very quiet and seems to work good.
I have luxury vinyl plank flooring. I want a steam mop but they don’t recommend it with that flooring although I’ve seen a lot of people saying they use it on theirs and it’s fine. What’s your opinion on that?
Great video man, going to order the bissell. The shark only takes your mess and buffs the floor with it lol. It doesn't it pick up. The shark is cool ideally, but in reality it serves better as premop to an old fashioned floor mopping, or spot cleaning.
This was a great test. I got the Bissell one and so far my floors have been very clean.
Thanks so much

Glad you enjoyed.
I had the bissel powerfresh & I loved it. It just stopped working yesterday, but i had it for 3 yrs. Looking for another one
Use filtered water. That will make it last longer.
2 things. The Shark you didnt let it heat up to a steam. Also when you did the towel test you completely missed the area you mopped down the center. A better test would have been a dried food stain test.
The shark was definitely heated up. The paper towel was close enough.

For the shark, when you tested you didn't even do the test wear you mopped?
?
I noticed that too. he tested to the side of where he just mopped. maybe in future vids he can mark the tested area? just a suggestion.
Yes, I saw that too, went back to where it was mopped and where it was wiped with the paper towel, different spots.
Very informative review. Thanks for taking the time to test them, now I know which want to get.
Thanks so much
Thanks for helping me decide between the 2. Good review and demo.
Thanks, I'm glad it helped your decision

Honestly I could have missed a bit. My memory is pretty bad and I could have just not noticed or something
Thanks for the video! I'm just wondering if there is a big difference between the Bissell powerfresh 1940 and the deluxe? You seem to have tried and like both but is one better than the other? Thanks!
The deluxe has a grout brush. That is why I got it. If you have tile with grout it's amazing
@@VacMaster1991 Perfect thank you!!
Your welcome
didnt know how much i appreciate this review
Thanks

I gave the shark about a minute to heat up .

Enjoyed the video and the review! Thanks!
Glad you liked it!
I need one that won’t leave streaks as I’ve got shiny reflective tiles ! Any recommendations??
The Bissell crosswave hydro steam is great for that.
Also, you can try to use distilled water with vinegar in the steam mop.
I just ordered the Bissell Deluxe, do you use bleach or Oxi clean to get get rid of any stains it may have left after mopping?
Normal desert with a small amount of regular bleach. Hang to dry. No dryer.
Very nicely done. My question is was your Shark the 3 mode model with the deep scrub mode?
That would definitely be a most conclusive test.
Yes it was. I only use deep scrub mode. Glad you liked the video

The Bissell is fantastic for tile because it has a grout brush
The Bissell starts to leak after a few months from where it is connected. No cracks nothing, water just drips once it heats up.
Thanks for this! Buying one online now 👍🏾
Great

Both where high
@@VacMaster1991 ok
Would like to see a test on ground in days old grime. Freshly poured stuff on the floor not dried on the floor isn't a realistic home test imo.
I want to retest this. But I can't leave dirt on my floor to dry in place. Plan on using a piece of sample floor.
@@VacMaster1991 Bought the shark because it has steam and we have 450 sq ft of textured tile. Came today and did a small area. Machine is very quiet and seems to work good.
What is the model number on the Bisell? Thank you!
Model 1806
@@VacMaster1991 thank you!
It says 'steam" in the Shark....does it "steam"?
Yes it does
Where's the steam? You're not even letting it get hot.
I have luxury vinyl plank flooring. I want a steam mop but they don’t recommend it with that flooring although I’ve seen a lot of people saying they use it on theirs and it’s fine. What’s your opinion on that?
On low power it should be fine. To be extra safe a Bissell Spinwave is the ideal machine for your floor
Is this Laminate flooring or real?
It's actually wood look porcelain tile
Good comparison. Can these steam mops be used on laminated hardwood floors?
Laminate or hardwood. Yes. On low power only though.
But with the shark mop you only had it set to scrub. You didn’t set it to mop once it was done scrubbing.
It mops and scrubs at the same time
Seems like you were already on Bissel side. Your review was not fair ..
I actually bought both. Neither was sponsored. The Bissell just performed better.
Who has messes like that on the floor? Of course it will smudge
It was an extreme example.
Damn I was just about to get the shark one too but now I’m just going to go the white one!
Both are great. But the Bissell is best if you have tile.
@@VacMaster1991 I went Bissell!
@@finszonettv great. Tell me how you like it.
Thanks!
No prob
Shark isn’t meant for a forward motion. It’s for horizontal motions
Sharks official video shows them pushing it forward. ua-cam.com/video/7ak2VGZxQII/v-deo.html
Can you review the Shark VacMop?
I did

Thanks. The Bissell is really nice.
But so does the Bissell
I just bought the shark, I'm about to return.
Whats wrong with it?
Nothing, the only problem I have was the unable to stay still, BET I want to try the bissell
It moves on its own you just hold it and move the handle the way you want it
What about the YMop comparison ???
ttps://ua-cam.com/video/Vk5Hh-jCqUE/v-deo.html
Doesn't look like he even compared the performance. Just talked.
I5s a scubber and goes deeper then the mop
Your using it wrong
Which one
