At football (soccer) games, you can drink on the concourse out of sight of the pitch, but no alcohol allowed in the seated areas. Rugby and cricket you can drink anywhere in the stands.

It seems I've been to more baseball matches in Canada than one of you two (no clues, 🤔I'm no snitch 😀). I saw the Toronto Blue Jays play the St. Louis Cardinals in the 90s. My Mum wanted to have a holiday in Toronto so we went together. One day she decided she wanted to see a real baseball match, and we managed to get tickets for a mid-week game. It was more than half empty, but it was still fun! The 'Mexican Wave' barely worked. I imagine it wasn't very intimidating to the Cardinals.

My funny story.. A few years back I took my ex to forest park hotel in the new forest for a weekend. We caught the train there , we got off at brockenhurst a village. The hotel is roughly a mile to walk from the station, as we got out of the village on the lane that takes you to the hotel Sally needed a pee it was pitch black as there are no street lights in the lane. I knew the road well I told her look there's no cars coming pop onto the grass verge and go if you can't hold it but don't go to far . Sally toddled off into the dark.. suddenly I heard a big splash. And a cry for help Iran over and helped her up out of the shallow river. I did tell her not to go far. We checked in to the hotel Sally standing there checking in with pond weed down one side of her coat annoyed but trying not to laugh. The next day in the daylight she realised how far she had gone. It was mad walking into a hotel greated with suits of armour and a big polished copper fireplace and sally boots squelching up to the desk looking like a swamp monster. The area the hotel is in is beautiful we went a few times to drop acid and walk in the forest together . Miss her like mad

@@adamdalton3492 a group of friends came down the country to where I’d moved to and we were going to a cup final at Wembley the next day- went out for drinks in my local town high st then sang football songs as we made our way back to mine- mid song one of my mates veered off the path diagonally as he reached for his fly- it was obvious he was about to piss in the small trees along the roadside- what he hadn’t realised was that between him and the trees there was a ditch about 4 foot deep with overgrown grass hiding it 🤣… so we’re singing away and all of a sudden he disappeared then seconds later this head and shoulders appeared and none of us could help him out of the ditch through laughing- I think we all needed a piss then 🤣🤣🤣

I've had Bush Vodka too. It was Christmas Eve, 1984, my best buddy decided he wanted to go to the city to get his girlfriend a present and I wanted a beer. Long story short the place was packed and I ended up buying a bottle of vodka instead(thinking he would help me drink it - he didn't) and drinking the majority of it neat from the bottle on the 30 minute train ride home. We called at his girlfriends house on the way back to deliver the present and I stayed outside, cos he was just gonna nip in. 10 minutes later in my drunken state I thought it would be a good idea to go round the back and serenade her older sister.
Well it didn't work very well, the GF's parents started to get agitated at the drunk romeo so my friend decided that discretion is the better part of valour, made his excuses and left, forcing me to discard the vodka "as his corrections officer dad would not be happy with me bringing a bottle of spirits into the house". Too late , I have a distillery in my stomach. We snuck upstairs to his room and I promptly passed out, waking only to vomit which my buddy blamed on a bad burger
. Next day (Christmas day) I walked home stopping outside the girlfriends house to retrieve my now Ice cold remaining vodka from the bush it was tossed into. Was the best vodka I ever had, it went down really smooth, ice and fire, cured my hangover and set me up for the day. I ambled home a mile and a half and spent a wonderful Christmas with my family.
He still brings that storry up 38 years later. My greatest regret is that it went nowhere with the sister, but thats life.

Football (Soccer) attracts far too much hooliganism for alcohol to be allowed. I am sure I will be blasted for calling it a hooligans game, but I can only judge by comparison. No other sport in the world attracts anywhere near as much violence and childish behaviour as football (Soccer).
