I have continuing problems with cracked fingertips. I tried this NEW SKIN. I admit it gives temporary relief. But then eventually it gives way and the crack becomes even worse than before! In other words it provides temporary relief but does nothing to help the underlying problem and in fact makes it worse. Once the new skin starts to wear off the cracking is worse than before and now you need more new skin and then more and more until you become just one big blob of new skin :). This product is good for one time cuts like knife or paper cuts, but i don't recommend it for chronic problems like cracked fingertips. At least than is my experience.
I use this stuff all the time. Being a trades guy and a bit of a germophobe, I"m constantly washing my hands and also scraping, cutting, nicking my hands. I've used Liquid Skin for cracked skin and for those annoying minor cuts. A couple of coats looks and works so much better than wrapping your fingers with a paper-towel and electrical tape! lol :)
My experience in the past with my job in various trades is preventive measures . Wash hands often hand cream and many types of gloves when possible . Before bed after showering a few drops of vitamin oil from vitamin cap on finger damage skin cover with bandaid . First use was yesterday with new skin bought brush and spray . Recommend everyone to have various types to first aid supplies . It will prevent future problems as the human body is one of the most expensive things to maintain in good working order .
I'm a baker and often get random cuts on my hands that are infuriating due to dough having salt in it and having to constantly have my hands in water. Hopefully this will do the trick.
I'm going to try it with Neosporin under it (maybe any emollient or lotion would do the trick). My fingertips have started cracking because new job, I have to wash my hands often and use those anti-bac wipes, and after time, plus it being winter, I'm "wearing" Neosporin with gloves on top. BUT I have to cut out little "fingerpads" for fingerprint reading, or any kind of computer work. This sounds good!

Try some lotion to avoid the dry skin!
