- I was driving through the Industrial estate and Wakerley in Brisbane and happened upon Mr Bills, I thought i'd whip on in to try their Banh Mi, so let's give it a go!

Looks delicious but $9.50 is overpriced
Yeah normally they around $6.50 for the combination but being in that area of the factory complex they always like to bump up the prices.
Two slices of proper roast meat is what makes the price higher, elsewhere for $5 although nice asian made Salad rolls they only put thin processed pork stuff on it .
I think we can all say we're waiting for the day GregO turns up at the emergency department with lockjaw! 😁

I always tell people who want to try American food to ignore the plastic palaces and go to the scruffy place where all the locals eat.This looks like that kind of place.

mate looks not bad, but that is an exorbitant rip off!! banh mi is supposed to be a cheap eat!! in Sydney, around $4-$5 each with the premium ones around $6-$7 at the max!!

The Vietnamese make the best rolls in the World IMO. There’s a Vietnamese bakery near where I live in Melbourne and I can’t get enough of the rolls they sell. Cheap as well

Yes Greggo went to one of my favourites!! I have had them all.. The grilled steak is also amazing. Mr Bill and family are lovely people and they make a killer Bahn Mi. The weirdest location but I live just up the road so its awesome.. Its busy everyday..

Mr Bills is total quality without the stupid price tag. Honest, hard-working people feeding honest hard-working people. It is a hidden gem that is becoming not so hidden through word of mouth.

restaurants are all abominations, aren't they? the customer never gets a good value for their money and the dishes lack nutrients and quantity. you're better off eating grass from the side of the highway.
I have no bad comments about this because it looks so fresh and nice to eat. Those crunchy rolls are the best from Asian shops. Great review

$9.50 is very expensive for a standard Vietnamese pork roll. Most of the authentic places in Sydney sell them for.between $4.50-5.50.

@@benjaminatkinson5328 umm yeah they do.. for BBQ/roast pork you usually pay $1 more than the standard ones.. I only pay $4-$5 on average.. most expensive one i know is a BBQ pork for $7.50 and only rare treat for that price

It's a cherry coconut chocolate bar. Not my favourite but quite popular

We have two bakeries at my local shops, both owned by Vietnamese. Delicious pork banh mi's. Only $5 for the pork. Delicious, filling and nutritious. The bahn mi looks sooo good. Worth the extra price.

Your other reviews were of dodgey Bahn Mi’s that I commented saying they were missing half the ingredients.
At last you have found one that has more but still is missing sweet soy sauce, tomato and lettuce.
I wish I could fly you to Sydney to try a real Vietnamese Bahn Mi.
All of the Vietnamese bakeries sell them with more ingredients for only $6.50.
You are learning how good they can be, but are getting totally ripped off.
