  • Elegoo Neptune 3 PLUS is the biggest 3D printer I tested so far. It has built volume of 320x320x400 mm. But it is only the middle printer from this series. It is equipped with all important things, like flexible PEI, auto leveling sensor, filament sensor, dual Z axis, direct drive extruder, great touch screen etc.

well you've definitely solidified my choice in getting this Neptune 3 Plus, should be delivered in a couple days, as I wanted a larger format printer but didn't want to compromise on the features that came with it and the price is a bit hard to beat with all the features. As for the 6 leveling springs/knobs, could probably just get 6 spacers to go in place just like there was on the original Neptune 3 printer and replace the knobs with nuts with a little Loctite. but for the time being I have 8 extra yellow springs from my ender 3 v2's after I swapped out to the silicone spacers on those. excited to print out some bigger things, cheers!

Bed adjustment spring knobs allow for proper bed leveling when the bed is not perfectly flat. Cumbersome? Yes. Useful? Extremely!

Hi Igor! It was off-center because the actual size of the bed is 330x330 👍 I would remove those lines you added, instead adjust the size of the bed from 320 to 330 and enjoy the full size of the Bed, centered, off course.

    • @MyTechFun
      @MyTechFun  Рік тому +4

0,0 is still outside. The purge line is beside the bed (1.5mm X). You can see it shortly when I started to print the cube. 330x330 can be used with 0mm margin but the origin still has to be moved. Hopefully they will fix this in future firmware, then I'll delete those two lines.

By default it is not there. You have to download profiles and copy them into cura folders: www.reddit.com/r/ElegooNeptune3/comments/ykh9ri/psa_official_cura_52_profiles_on_github_neptune_3/

    • @MyTechFun

I don't have CR-10 V2 but Neptun is a good choice anyway. It needs more time for adjusting 6 leveling knobs, but after that it prints great.

    "easier maintenancing"
The -ing variant of 'maintenance' doesn't exist in English.
"Easier to maintain / easier to service / easier servicing." 🙂
The support struts (rods): I'm guessing this is why most large printers are Core X-Y; on large gantry printers you need the supports to provide additional structural rigidity.
    ...
Yes, linear rods would make more sense on a machine of this size. Presumably their absence is a cost saving measure.
    ...
Needs LED's on the underside of the print head. Or better yet, mount the print head backwards. 🙂 Print looks good though, especially given the size of the machine.
    ...
"Correct informations" -> "Correct information". 🙂 "Information" is both singular and plural.
    ...
That TPU print was excellent, suggests a well-tuned profile.
    ...
Might also be an idea to replace the white PTFE tube with the genuine Capricorn equivalent though. It should then be able to handle ~260°C without significant degredation.
