Pete is so right about the 90s. There really was an optimistic outlook generally among kids and young people, which sadly seems so hard to imagine these days. Also certain things and events just felt more special because they were harder to access. Wanted to see a specific film from a few years ago? Better hope the VHS rental shop has it or it happens to be on TV sometime soon. A certain game wasn't at the shop? See if its in a catalog or mail order from magazines and wait weeks for it to show up. Going to fast food was a rare treat as he says, and the restaurants seemed to cater to kids better then too.
I was young, but I clearly remember a more positive sentiment about the future. Here in Western Europe, the war was in many peoples memories still, and with that came an appreciation for freedom. American pop culture was the leading one for sure, but everyone was happy to have it. This anti-American sentiment that appears to be so prevalent nowadays was nowhere to be found yet. We didn’t drown in IP’s either. The thing that was out was the thing everybody talked about. Releases were these massive events. Night openings in cinema and game stores. This depressing era where we can’t have nice things, I don’t recognize at all.
There are also physical stuff that were better made. I have some old t-shirts of my dad from the 90s which he has kept and still wears and i've worn myself around the house and they are in perfect condition 100% cotton and well made. Every shirt i buy nowdays seems to be done at around 2 years. At first i thought it was just nostalgia or something but then i read that this happened after companies started exporting mass production to china and delivery of the orders went from 4-6 months to less than a month. They were more expensive relatively at that time tbf but that was the standard of quality for everything you would buy even if it was more expensive you didn't have to look for better.
New trend where you showcase your superior masculine features (Sharp Jawline, etc) sometimes using the gestures they showed in the video. It's related to the GigaChad meme which is basically an edited photo of a model making him look grotesquely masculine. Hope that helps, and don't worry I'm young and still very confused about a lot of newer memes too lol
"X mogs Y" == "X is way better looking than Y leading to a stark attractiveness contrast." Can also just generally refer to outshining someone completely
I think it came from the term 'AMOG' which meant alpha male of the group. So mogging as a verb means someone is establishing themselves as the dominant one. No one really takes this seriously except for that crowd of obsessed 'alpha males'
OMG I'm more closer in age to Pete and I can remember that optimism in the 90s, even if I grew up in Asia. We truly lost our innocence in the early 2000s.
Omggggg PETEEEEE!!😭 Glad they did an ep with Pete, lwk was wondering if they were gonna considering the recent announcement. Although im aware that this is pre-rec, but hopefully they do another ep with Pete.
@ Pete had recently announced on a stream a couple of days ago, that both him and his wife, Yuki are expecting a baby. They have shown pictures of the ultrasound on stream.

Mudan named this clip starts with “PETE 1” truly new and special labeling
Im glad that Mudan, a professional editor with a multimedia editing company, uses the same naming techniques I use for my files.
