Unironically, I think the brakes were one of the most accurate features.
NASCAR on a road course is basically driving tanks on a go-kart track.
@Kenny Argueta Ventura There’s a current driver who’s on Reddit, and this is what he said about this generation of car on road courses:
“How bad they drove on road courses... was so fun trying to make it do what you wanted and it didn’t wanna do any of it.”

@Kenny Argueta Ventura the new car is more agile. Built for road courses specifically. Track width on the gen 7 car is much wider and the brakes are better. Only problem is that the steering occasionally snaps at ovals like Las Vegas or Michigan

This isn't robbery but let's say this is game is a grape (silent G) to everything that is "sim" racing. This is actually what they consider themselves unironically at that. I imagine they attempted to make a good game and then when they showed up for work that first day said "ahhh f*ck it that's too hard let's see if we can make a game that is somehow completely broken!"
You'd think it wouldn't be too hard to code a racing game where the cars only turn left, but there hasn't been a good NASCAR game since 2005. Kinda shocking, honestly. At least there's iRacing.
There are so many different racing styles even in the tracks, though.
The bigger tracks require an intelligent AI that can drive in a pack and drafting mechanics. The the short track AI need to follow the same racing line without running over each other, and then you have the intermediate and road course racing tracks which are totally different than the others.
And that doesn't even take into account the different pit strategies that happen at each track.
It's hard to make a game that pulls off all the track types super well. Some are only good at a couple.
@@danielwest9955 Literally every other major racing game right now can handle it. NASCAR is one of the highest profile IPs out there in the racing world, so you'd think they'd be able to get competent devs to make a game for them. It's just another way that NASCAR looks like clowns compared to the rest of the Motorsport world. No one takes NASCAR seriously because every move they make just makes them look dumb, and it's now had multiple of the worst racing games ever to be made. When there's so many other better racing Sim games out there like iRacing, Gran Turismo, Forza, F1, MotoGP, and Grid, why would anyone choose to play this?

What I’m saying is that NASCAR games aren’t the easiest to program since they require multiple AI racing styles even though most tracks are just left turn.
It’s has to feel & race extremely different depending on the 4 track types. It’s not just “we made 20 oval tracks! Done!” People will know if they mailed it in on the AI and feel of the tracks front.
By no means does that excuse a travesty like this, though. This game coming out in this state is inexcusable. And the AI seem a little off for most of the racing styles as well.
Absolute crack up 😂 I’m stuck with this game now after my refund got denied but this video made me feel so much better about it 👍

Pretty sad I have a ps5 in my living room and I’m on the PS2 playing Nascar thunder 2004 instead. Yeah the graphics are not like todays but at-least the gameplay was amazing and you felt accomplished for

From the States. Now that the wife and I have watched the whole video... So funny. We used to watch and play Nascar cuz family was Nascar. F1 is so much better. I find the braking accurate. They really don’t work in real life as well as you’d think.
You keep trying to say this like these cars can't actually stop. No other NASCAR game has had this issue. Iracing which is an actual simulation doesn't have this issue so how is it accurate? I mean Codemasters (this isn't a shot at Codemasters Just using an example of how even good games don't get everything correct or even need too) doesn't incorporate the 1.5g's of braking force that is applied to the cars when you just release the throttle on a straightaway because of their aeroload and high drag coefficient... The game doesn't have to be completely accurate either It just has to operate somewhat correctly! The fact that you keep making the comment that the braking is actually correct just shows how little knowledge you have about this racing series. Now if you said breaking instead of braking I would have agreed this game is that bad! You keep trying to pass off this comment as relevant and accurate 2 things your comment is not. Somebody needed to say something to you HAHA!

You will just illustrate how little you know. Pretending you are correct and trying to argue does not make you correct it makes just more wrong.

Unfortunately because of the contract Motorsport Games has with NASCAR they have to release a game every year. It really fucks over devs with their first game because they’re just having to rush it out to fulfil their contract. Same thing happened with Nascar Heat Evolution and Nascar the Game 2011.

This video was hilarious. I love it when people make videos joking about all the problems this game has. As a NASCAR fan who was really hyped for this game it's a shame to see the license be wasted like that. I was one of the morons who pre-ordered the Champions Edition. When I had to reboot my PlayStation, and wipe my hard drive that was one of the games I chose not to redownload. I ended up downloading the previous NASCAR game Heat 5 instead. Hopefully it falls into the hands of a much more capable developer who won't lie to us, and will stay on top of the bugs. I've heard the game has made somewhat of a comeback, but I don't think it's justifying space on my hard drive. I definitely have a much better time with the F1 games anyways. I know this video came out a while ago, but keep up the good work man. 🤙

This game is ridiculously terrible. I wouldn't even call it an Arcade game and I would not buy it. Arcade games are even better than this product. In this video you were going backwards on a track. Most of these racing games would say "Going the wrong way" and then kick you off the track.

With their massive day one patch not solving any issues and the fact that on G2A this game was going for $25 day 2 of its release speaks volumes!
