If you have no critics you'll likely have no success. Every show choir that attended Nationals brought everything they had, gave their all and left it on the stage. The judges voted and Titan Fever emerged as champions. Some may consider it a "fluke" or feel that their performance was "nothing memorable", but these kids exhibit the traits embodied by all true champions. Champions are not the ones who always win- champions are the ones who get out there and try. And try harder the next time. And even harder the next time. 'Champion' is a state of mind. They are devoted. They compete to best themselves as much if not more than they compete to best others. Congratulations GHS Titan Fever-National Show Choir Champions!!
Titan Fever did win Show Choir Nationals, but Los Al won the FAME Show Choir Nationals at the Genesee Theatre just outside of Chicago a few weeks afterwards. They were different competitions.
I still think the 2013 National Champ Loveland By Request was an absolutely spectacular show. Probably the best choreographed show I've seen in a while. No other show can compare.
Everyone who is calling this a bad show is incorrect in my opinion. It is a wonderful show, however, in my opinion, nothing about it sticks out. If you want to see the people who should have won, I would check out Center Grove's show from this year. They wowed me and the rest of the venue completely.
Wow ... I'm guessing none of the outstanding famous national show choirs did not show up for this competition. Otherwise these guys would have not won to be national champs.... nothing memorable.
sxystar41 coming from a biased perspective, I'd say that many a "outstanding famous national show choirs" showed up for this competition, unless you're solely talking about California choirs, in which you are correct. Glenwood beat these NOT nationally known, supported, or beloved programs including: Buffalo Grove, Center Grove, Findlay, Mt. Zion, and last but (according to you) most likely least, Hastings. Also groups like Homewood, Sullivan, and Daniel Hand (all not nationally known by the way) didn't even make finals here. Sarcasm aside, I do understand your comment regarding the "nothing memorable" side of this show, in which case I would mildly agree. However, they did compete and beat many solid and established programs while in Nashville. My two cents.

Had the pleasure of competing against them at Mt Zion this year. Knew they were good first time I saw them, never knew they were this good. Props!
