  • Like any other skill, mastery of at-home butchery requires practice, and what better way to get in those reps than with a freezer full of fresh whitetail?
Trimming with precision requires a keen edge and a fine tip, and Chef Eduardo Garcia trusts his custom Meatcrafter to get the job done.

I like the Meat crafter in 154 steel hoping to add one in S45VN soon.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the knife and some of your preparation !

Removing silver skin from beef is kind of theraputic. I do several pounds of it a day. Def prefer a steel with more chromium carbide vs vanadium for ease of maintenence.

How come my Fact and my Bugout don’t have the great action of my 940? No matter how much I loosen the pivot or oil it it’s still not near the 940. I’m surprised your actions have got worse over time instead of better or at least staying the same.

What the hell were you guys thinking with the pricing on the Narrows?! You have no idea how many customers you lost with that cash grab. Very short sighted.

The Eduardo videos are good, but they are missing an "ingredient".
Who is Eduardo Garcia and why do I care?
I get that there was an introduction video, but it was a lifestyle video, not a claim to fame or influence or reputation.
You could have put J.M. Smucker in that video and you would have gotten the same results - because it sold a lifestyle - not a person.
If a video is made about who Eduardo is, what his story is, and why people care about it - I would watch it.

If you’re wondering about the arm
On October 9, 2011, while bow-hunting elk in the Montana backcountry, Garcia came across the dry remains of a bear.[7] Attempting to remove a claw with his knife, he received a severe electrical shock from a 2400-volt power line hidden underneath its carcass.[5] He was knocked to the ground and severely burned. He remembers telling himself to get up, but after that his memory is incomplete - the next thing he remembers is walking on a road a mile away from the accident spot. By the time he found help, Garcia had walked three miles.
"I was scared," he later recalled, "but I was set on learning how to survive".[5] While in hospital, Garcia was also diagnosed with stage two testicular cancer. The cancer required him to put his surgeries on hold to undergo three months of chemotherapy. He recalls, "I had to get through [the cancer] to get back to business, which was surgery and recovery of self."
