this guy is awesome. although he's clearly studied traditional kora, he has his own style. you've got to love & respect that.
The kora is easily my favourite instrument and this is exactly the kind of music that comes to mind when I think of it. Couldn't ask for better. I hope Yerko keeps up his great skill.

nice performance indeed.

Красиво!
Afsaneh Rooz No the Kora is not Spanish, It is a West African instrument (Malian/Ghanese).
it is was created by the mandinka people in kaabu in the 13th century. Kaabu was in the Senegambia founded by one of sunjata keitas generals during the expansion of the Mali or malinke empire. It was an instrument first used to record the military victories of the malinke people, in a poetic and historical way. Ghana has nothing to do with the kora, I believe it is also played in guinea. It traveled from kaabu which was a province of Mali back to the capital where it was used for wealthy families, kings and citizens of status to record their tales. So that songs of them would be passed down for generations.
this kora looks enormous...
The capital of Kaabu is called Kansala and is located in Guinea-Bissau, not in Senegal.
Very beautiful! I'm also street musician! =]
Pain
Bonjour je joue également. Tu as mis des leviers de harpe pour changer la tonalité ???

Kora is African instrument. But this guy Yerko Fuenzalida is from Spain.
is Kora a Spanish instrument?
noo, West African.
creo que Yerko es chileno.
Purrhaps you like meowsic as much as we do. If so, we're right down your alley!
😲Blanco con cora?
lástima que ya haya que pagar para entrar al parque guell
its not as nice as the Baron
its not as nice as the Irish harp
i just listened to the Baron and I have to disagree. But i guess I have a deep love for African instruments (Kora, Banjo) and rhythms.
It is just as nice .
It's superior.
so beautiful and inspiring!
What is the name of this song?
I bought his album from him in Spain but I can't find the name of this song in particular
Actually, I think its just a sped up version of the song called A Las Puertas de Persia, which is on his album Sankofa
@@slothwhispererX It that why I get a middle eastern feel to this song? Its kind of different than how i hear Toumani Diabate play.
