i had no idea pitcher flowers were so pretty! my garbage plants from the hardware store are thoroughly dead. if the hard freeze in spring didn't kill them, my neglect to water them when they should have come out of dormancy did. i can't walk well and left them to winter where i couldn't reach them. i think next time i'm ready to try again, i'm just going to get a good grow light and keep them indoors.

Pot full of Venus flytrap Right Now watching your videos has helped me get mine to winterize properly, this is the first time I've had Venus flytraps survive ! I'm so excited to be able to watch them emerging from the moss! Thank you so much and I hope you get through your depression, I'd personally recommend trying to exercise regularly that helps me alot !
I wonder why some of them give those wonky flowers... Like even on one plant there is always that one flower that just say: F that Im going right, then left and then down!
You seem to know some stuff about fly traps. Last fall my new (extremely small, as in 6 leaves) flytrap grew a flower - insanely big for the small size of the plant. Now nearly all leaves have died and it's only growing very small new leaves that also die off very fast - any ideas? I water it as normal, soil is of good quality... Should I fertilize it? Did it expend too much energy and is now effectively dead?
What’s your stance on weeds growing with your plants. Been letting some weeds grow in my pots this year because I thought they’d help keep the nutrient levels low for the plants but idk if that’s a good idea.

It probably burnt out to much energy making that flower, kep trying to save it though who knows maybe it'll come back

I usually just remove them because they look ugly and they steal water from your plant.
For the mirror one id give it another year and if it doesn’t show then you may got scammed but where did you get it from?
