I just don't understand how people don't see that Tilian is a PERFECT fit for DGD.
john johnny because jonny was the original and his super charged vocals blended so well with the bands style back then. It’s nostalgic at this point for so many. Kurt flipped the script with the mad funky vibes he brought with happiness and the emotion in the self titled. It was an iconic blend of psychedelic funk and post hardcore. Tilian has def helped the band come a long way and they’ve def perfected their own unique sound at this point but it feels kind of cookie cutter after a while. Don’t get me wrong they’re still one of my absolute favorite bands but they don’t make me feel the way they used to and a lot of people feel that way as well I think. I loved tides of man too. Maybe it’s the way they write now idk but nothing hits me as hard emotionally as the slow bit in its safe to say you dig the backseat or caviars chorus and the opening verse of the importance of cocaine. Totally still seeing them this upcoming tour and will shell out tons of money for merch lmao.
@@Shibby4L Seeing them for the 2nd time in less than a year coming up. sucha great live show. I get nostalgia and all that but look at the whole picture, with craig there would be no dgd. With Kurt it might be the same, he doesn't seem to want to be a rockstar who's living on a tour bus.
Tillian is unique, talented, consistent, friendly to fans, does the extra work, and i think he has put out some of their best music.
Everybody loves the backseat and knows the importance of cocain but only tillian inspires the liars, owns the night, and is suspended in this disaster haha
He's got such a recognisable voice. I've never heard anyone close to sounding like him, his voice is just inhumanly soft I can't understand how he's able to belt notes in full voice and still they sound so light
His voice is too light we love the grit of johnny and power of Kurt

@@ghostlyrobert I'll be honest, I'm not very good at transcribing the strumming patterns. I usually just "feel" the rhythm as I'm playing along to see what fits best.

Looked like they were trying to record it for Snapchat or something. Either way, I'd prefer to give my undivided attention rather than try to record it for later. Besides, if there's a lot of people recording, there's no need to record, you'll probably be able to find it online.

Just gettin into the band and i cant fathom why there's any hate for this dude. he has some of the best live vocals and a unique voice that meshes great with jon's and frankly the songs they've put out together are fucking bangers. Sure not every one lands but when it does god damn does it land. Not saying the old ones are bad either i just genuinely think the stuff dgd has put out in the tillian era has been the band's peak so far and i'm sure it'll keep getting even better.

@@TheRainbowBroX I mean when he first joined DGD I was upset because I loved Johnny but I wasn't toxic about it. You could still prefer an older singer without being toxic but Tilian grew onto me and honestly I love all the singers equally now. But personally I don't often hear Tilian hate anywhere. Especially now that he's been with them for about a decade.
@@jackpenber8959 Exactly. It's died down for a while but comments still exist. Saw them on a lot of different stuff when I first got into them but luckily haven't seen since.
from what i've seen there was a huge resurgence in tillian hate after swanfest 22 and 23, which is stupid cause of the situation with 22 and him having the flu right before 23
