Dogs trust do an amazing job... it just shows you how come that we need them, and all other rescue shelters, for ALL animals.... and they ALL deserve our help and praise... `I have always had rescue dogs... all with very different personalities and attitudes... We have loved them all through the good and bad times and unfortunately the rescues I have are usually very poorly ones so the life span is not all that long... but we have loved them all the same and mourned them all in their passing..
I know I shouldn't be shocked by the reasons given, but I couldn't believe the reasons given for surrendering our gorgeous Ella either. She's just the most amazing girl and means the world to us. If this makes someone stop and think before getting a pet they don't need, don't really want and can't properly care for, then it's worked. #AdoptDontShop #Rescue
I rescued my second sausage dog two years ago. In that time he has attacked our first rescue, he has bitten visitors, he has growled at me, refused to wear his harness.... I could go on. But because a dog is FOR LIFE, we are not giving him up. He has regular check ups at the vet, he is now going to training school, we worked hard to teach him to go into his crate when visitors that scare him are around, he gets a lot of praise every time he plays with our other dog... I am stunned that people can come up with such stupid and ridiculous reasons to give up their dog. All a dog want is love and a safe place. THAT.IS.ALL. Love this ad. I hope it goes viral and makes people think before getting a puppy.
Great campaign! Just a little criticism on the video though....the background music is too loud & in a few instances makes it difficult to hear what the person is saying. Not great when you don't have perfect hearing!
+Erica Soto I'd never give up a dog or cat for a guy! That dog gave her 9 years of unconditional love. That's just despicable and so sad. Can you imagine how her dog must of felt when she handed that dog over...I hate to think how she got got rid of him/her. What a broken heart, what confusion, "what did I do wrong?" "when is mommy coming back to get me?" That makes me sick. Do you know if the dog found another home? What kind of man asks a woman to give up a dog she's had and loved for 9 years. I wouldn't be surprised if he does the same with her. People like that should never be allowed to ever have another pet for the rest of their lives. :(

My cousin gave up the dog she had for nine years, because the man she married didn't like dogs. I wanted to slap the pair of them.
