thank you for talking it out with me on twitter and actually admitting your mistakes, im proud of you. I just hope you'll keep on to your words, and probably become a great animator in the future hell, those tracings might even teach you a thing or two about animating process that can help you out just remember that tracing is FINE as long as you're doing it in the sake of studying. I trace alot and learned new things out of those but when you publicize it in your work, even if you credit the original animator, it could be damaging for them All that aside, i look forward to see you improve!
I don't think he changed. He just makes this vid because everyone criticizes him and he is on the verge of losing money. He only "apologies" for money and his reputation. Or else, he would have taken down the trailer
I raped and murdered 15 infants .. yea i was wrong i guess ... respect me and give me an understanding crowd please ... Telling people that you did something wrong .. when you fully know that there are no consequences to it ... well ... easiest sympathy card you can pull out of your ass =)
Only a small year after the original accusations and after bigger animators on the platform started calling him out, not to mention all while trying to cover it all up by hiding their original comments. I don't know, I hope for the best but I'm still skeptical.
There be people who turn up their camera, crying and dressed poorly and not apologizing cuz they're "victims". And this guy genuinely ask for forgiveness and excuses himself. Darn. I'm not used to that.
he basically use the sympathetic card. After he made lot of money like almost 100k dollars, he only decide to come clean. Not to mention he ruined underrated animators life he traced from Take example someone stole your car sell it . Suddenly you need car to send your mother to hospital but you do t have one so your mother died. Lose a car lose a mother the robber got caught. He apologized to you. What do you say?

Yes he come off and apology but if its as easy as that. Im sure prison would be empty cus you could get away with murder by just saying im sorry ?

The person who can forgive people is a strong person and I am proud of him.The world has rules, if you do not love the world then you will get happiness and if you love the world you will get the opposite.
Don’t feel sad everyone. In fact, maybe this was a good thing. Maybe this could’ve been the wake up call Jhanzou needed to put his all into Combat Gods 2 and making it one of the best stick fights on UA-cam with 100% fully original animations.
This is actually a good apology. He showed the exact scenes that were traced in all his animations side-to-side for everyone to see, even those who didn't notice them or were unaware like I was. Not to mention he didn't victimize himself in the slightest. I respect that. If his claim that no traced scenes will be in Combat Gods II is true, he will have remained true to his word. Let's give him a chance to do that.
As much as I can admit the video is good, it's effect seems very lacklustre. This apology, sadly just gave way to more people enabling and defending the theft of hard working animator's work. Simply saying "I dont care, it looks good" and brushing of the literal CRIME of monetising stolen work. However, that can be made up for by making more honest, personal work in the future. I hope this gives him time to reflect, but I shed no tears for him being banned from the Dojo community.
As hard as it might be now, it is a step in the right direction to address your fans with the truth. The next step is to let your actions speak louder than your words and prove to everyone that you've learned from your mistakes. Good luck Jhanzou!
@Hyun's Dojo Community I love you guys you also make good animation thank you for supporting Jhanzou even though he stole your work you support him thank you guys
I love you guys and your work. Thanks for supporting him or his actions instead of trying to tear into him like lesser creators would. What he did wasn’t ok, but I’m glad there an understanding so you both can create more exceptional work. It takes a hell of a lot of maturity and my respect for both you guys and Jhanzou is so much larger now.
here's a fact, he didn't really actually expect that his animation could hit millions of views and gain such popularity than other stickman animations, this is good, atleast now he's clean.
If its fluid enough ppl will treat it like cat videoes. Remember stick figure de_dust 2? Granted its been here for years, Its somewhere round 99 million views.
@@UAGoWSuplexer I guess because his response is a refreshing contrast to how most people deal with internet controversies. I mean, he's caught red handed, for the THIRD time. And this time involve a lot of big figure in the community, who of course, instantly call him out. It was cool that you took different animations and put them together. However I still agree that it’s wrong to copy animation as a fellow animator. I’m glad you told the truth though i respect you for that can’t wait to see what you make.
Fr that's stupid I thought the whole point was to combine a lot of masterpieces to create something amazing and it was but people always want something to criticize:(
i respect the honesty, and your combat 2 was amazing I don't see why you need to trace in the first place YOU HAVE TALENT. looking forward to more of YOUR work.
Because when the trailer came out there was a kickstarter (apparently started by someone else?) which advertised the involvement of other animators who were NOT involved in the project, and it raised over $5000. That was complete fraud, which kicked up old dirt of his first God of War had a ton of copied/traced animations but he had previously denied that they were traced, essentially claiming credit for other people's work. The tracing itself isn't a big deal. But when you added on the denials, not crediting the original scenes, and then the kickstarter advertising animators to create false hype and trick people into supporting it---that created a really bad impression. But it's all good now. Props to Jhanzou for standing up and clearing the air. Too many people would have doubled down and denied everything.
@@nzbg1132 I remember watching it before it blew up too and I can tell you nothing was there, which was why many people called him out for not giving credit. If he had put credit way before, then many people wouldn't have been bothered. I know it's hard sometimes to see the people you look up to turn out to be something you didn't think they would be, but just remember to be cautious.
Everyone in this life has to start somewhere, to be honest I didn't quite care about the fact that you copied or traced other animations, because the mixture that you created was good enough for me to numb the replaced work. And honestly you seem like a genuine person whose intent was anything but entertain people. Just know that your error will make you better and we'll always have your back, I can't wait to see what you're preparing for us!
You are absolutely right even though he traced it was a great combination like you said and I will continue to support this person when they come back and they also took the right step by apologizing and coming out. He has my respect and I wish him the best of luck.
@Shawthentic As an animator myself, yes, I would be livid. And, the people who were included in this like Resh were justified to be pissed off. I wish Jhanzou the best and I trust that he will learn from this, but seeing an animator get praised for plagiarism is disgusting. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to spread negativity, and if he keeps up his word, great, but this should not be okay. The Naruto scenes, sure, couldn't care less, they made millions, but the tracings from other Dojo content and freelance animators who worked so hard to make their own livings off of it just to have Combat Gods use their footage for his own gain? Fuck that.
@@NecroticFarron Not to mention most animators who are working in the industry are grossly underpaid and are being exploited based on their passion for the art form, seeing people in here defend the literal theft of intellectual property and art for personal monetary gain is literally disgusting. not to mention Jhanzou only apologized after being caught and would've been content to carry on lying about this stuff for who knows how long. I don't expect the average viewer to care but that's because they're uninformed on the subject and thus their opinion holds less weight. Nobody who I've met who is an actual animator has any respect for this dude because to many of us he isn't much more than a thief. I personally haven't changed that opinion of him given the fact that he did not apologize until after being exposed (even going as far as to deny the allegation one of the times he was exposed).
You didn't disappoint and honestly...the hype I got watching the first video kinda makes up for it being traced because anime fans love the All-Out battles even though it wasn't fair to the original creators. Regardless of all that you are truly talented and Combat Gods II proves it so I hope you become consistent and raise the bar, you'll be able to compete with big shots in no time coz the support out here is real.
I don’t mind that you copied at all, hell I actually caught some of the movements and assumed they were references. Hell, even animation marvels like the DBS Broly movie took similar animation sequences from other media. Trust me, this apology is all too forgiven.
Malware Anims The scenes from DBS Broly that look similar to other sequences only look similar because it was the same animator that made those animations sequences, he just tends to redo them, but that’s still his own animation. Not trying to be a jerk, but I’m just saying, the guy still traced other’s work and claimed it as his own, and has been called out by it, only then did he address it. I don’t hate him, I wish for the best of the guy, I just wished he would’ve handled it better by addressing it way before this was a situation
MY POINT IS he isn’t the first animator to plagiarize and the fact that he owned up to his mistake makes this apology not only forgiven but respected. Not a lotta ppl would do the same
Malware Anims True, he owned up his mistakes, I respect that. My point is that he didn’t just make references, he did trace and called it his own, and made money from it. He then only owned his mistakes _after_ being called out by it. Like I said, I don’t have any hate for him, but he still very much traced and did things wrong. Not being the first to do so doesn’t exactly excuse him from that. But at least he is going to the right direction. Personally I don’t think he should be forgiven just yet, but he’s getting there, and I still respect admitting that he did wrong
And so you’ve returned, just as you’ve said, better than before in the wise words in Combat gods II “surrender is not defeat” you’ve proven yourself more than worthy to be an animator “rest warrior”.
That line in particular fits so well for his situation. Honestly, what he did was wrong but man, Combat gods II was just as great and it was all his. The guy can animate extremely well and I can't wait to see what's next!
its probably gonna take a long time because animating this stuff is extremely difficult and will most likely be harder to animate than combat gods 1. Especially since this time he isnt tracing anything so its gonna take a while
True, pisses me off that people can't ever realise that even outside the realm of animating. There are fans who loved the artwork and hard work put into the orchestration of said animation. Tracing imo doesn't strike a bad rep on his name. It just shows that he's resilient and proficient in what he does. And respectfully. I don't think 100% of your animations has to be fucking original. There's inevitably going to be a few dots here and there with signs of tracing. Like come on, share him some love.

i liked some of the copied scenes, it was like a cool Easter egg/reference especially when it was my favourite fight scenes. I think people are over reacting.
Tracing seems similar to plagiarism. Copying the work frame by frame is like copying an essay word for word (Not to mention getting paid for copying). But he has talent, came clean about every accusation and not all his work is plagarism, so there's still hope for him.
Yep. Who cares? I just like the fight scenes. For the sake of this not being an issue. I was being close minded and selfish. Sorry about this reply. Please do not attack me.
Yeah let's cut the guy some Slack he was trying to entertain us he combined everything we love about anime in on video. (Some might not like this opinion but it's their opinions) P.S Also was that his work at the End it looked pretty good btw
His own work was very good and he combined a lot of nice anime fight scenes. Not saying tracing was 100% the right thing to do, but then if the video never blew up no one would be saying anything. I think he should trace some stuff he loves and look how he can adapt it in his own style. If he includes some other traced scenes he should credit the scene :) at the end of the day being able to recreate a scene like that is still a skill and it helps him understand the process and how its executed better so he can go on and grow into his own style.

Saw this years ago, alongside Combat Gods, came back and remembered this today so I thought I'd throw in some very late thoughts. I thought it was like, ABUNDANTLY obviously that the scenes were either copied or traced - and I didn't care. I thought people would recognize it as some kind of tribute, which was how *I* interpreted it; despite never watching Naruto or any of the other referenced media, I could TELL it was from something else - and that just made it so much cooler that you were able to reinterpret that fight into your own art style, combined with other scenes. It was just amazing. The monetization and the Kickstarter issue, yeah those suck, but I think if anyone thought there was some kind of plagiarism going on because of the traced scenes, they really gotta calm for a minute and maybe just, like, read the description of the damn video. Anyways, excellent work, look forward to seeing more :)

Wait but I'm confused everyone should have known that there were scenes taken from different animators so why are we mentioning this now?
He only started giving credit after people started calling him out for the traced scenes to avoid getting caught.

I don’t hate him, I wish for the best of the guy, I just wished he would’ve handled it better by addressing it way before this was a situation
Bro look at the yt of the dudes he copied, they literally get stuff from anime too
MY POINT IS he isn’t the first animator to plagiarize and the fact that he owned up to his mistake makes this apology not only forgiven but respected.
Also was that his work at the End it looked pretty good btw
probably, he wouldn't use someone else's work after that apology.
@@ShredBundy420 that actually sound better
@@ShredBundy420 Ok but it doesnt matter if it was gonna blow up or not, he traced and therefore stole from other creators, it's never ok in any sence, inspiration is one thing tracing is another. too add to that he lied about who was a part of that team...

Be fancy ! stop saying traced to every comment
@@circ8745 thank you for being kind bro, you don't see that a lot these days

I never cared about tracing in this case. Especially when you credited everything. I took it as a reference. Which even increased the enjoyment of your videos.
i thought he was just paying homage to them. idk it was a big problem til this video
David Martinek if you ever write a book, I’ll copy it verbatim and sell it as my own. You should be okay with that right? I just took it as a reference.
Of course none of y'all understand how big of a deal tracing is. You don't realize that Jhanzou is making money off of stealing other people'd works. Don't try to defend him with "he put credit/reference in the description" because I was there before his videos blew up and there were no credit to the original artists. He only added the references until later when people began calling him so he can get away with tracing.

Jhanzou, it is good that you have come clean and I hope you stick to your words. However, you have yet to talk about putting the animators you mentioned (who did not agree to the project) that has been thrown UNDER THE BUS and you claim them as AMNESIACS. I will not hold it against you and i can only hope you change for good.
FOR THE REST OF THE COMMENTS. TRACING for PRACTISE, is ok. BUT you cannot say tracing is okay. It is definitely not. Especially coming from animation. Same goes for art. Animators pour their sweat, tears, blood and effort into storyboarding, storylines, sketches and finalizing EVERYTHING. He may be one animator, BUT SO ARE THE REST. Resh, Acelix, Oxob, Exortine, and the REST of HYUNS DOJO.
Frame..by..frame. You are tracing from someone's work, someone's effort, someone's time and creativity. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE UNDERSTAND THIS. You have NO IDEA, how much pain it would bring to the original animators and artists. It is disrespectful, it is disgraceful.
