I agree with your comments about tricks, and I try to take like the Bob Dylan approach with my guitar and piano play. I mainly focus on chord voicings that are appropriate for setting up my moves etc. also, I’m singing as I play so it just makes everything so cohesive

@prettysimplemusic ohh yeah I watched this tutorial like 3 or 4 years ago it helped me change level the video on the presentation when you click the link 😀 I was like 15 years old and I was an intermediate already but I was stuck and couldn't get better or even get a new level but this video was one of the videos that helped me get better during only 1 month of practicing certain part of it, I'm still not advanced but I can say that I got better by learning it at this time of my journey🙏🏿.

So I’ve be struggling with keeping up with the song. For example, a chorus. I can find myself knowing the chords to play but without the filling the spaces in the song. It can even feel as if the other instruments are doing more. What’s your advice on that ?
Yessir it's a technique of "ignoring" the sounds of other instruments through "isolation" then zoning in on the main instrument you want to learn... I'd start out with songs with just piano, drums and bass... then work your way up to fully orchestrated songs, even with singers and complex harmony... Much love and good luck! ☀💚
