random winner, he got lucky... it's happened to me before the other way around where I won. Pure chance/lag compensation/coin flip on the server end
Might also be affected by points earned such as from scoring headshots, rezing teammates, ect… as well as possibly damage dealt. All of which could potentially be how it decides in case of a tie.

The tick occurs at the same time but the deaths wouldn't necessarily occur at the same time, its based on the health of the player.
@@tbenitz2356 if both players are less than 10 HP and the gas deals 10 DMG to both on the same tick, they both die at the exact same time
@@jamcowl I understand the point your making but you and that other player would not be taking the same amount of damage per tick. You needed to have been atleast 6 health points higher than the other player to have lived there. (or just waited a half second longer to self rez)
Your tick went up after 50 seconds of being in the gas (you can see the tick is larger after you rez) so it would be based on the players health.
doesn't matter, you can't have negative health. If your health is ≤ the gas damage, you'll die on the next tick. It's possible for 2 people to be in that position at the same time and die on the same tick because everyone on the map gets hit at exactly the same time by the gas and the damage chunk is dealt instantly (so 20 DMG takes no longer than 10 DMG to register)
@@jamcowl That's not how the netcode works in this scenario, the server would determine who wins regardless of reaching 0 in the same tick.

I am kind of curious if the stormender is truly 1 damage or if it’ll do increased damage on headshots like most every other weapon? Of course I’m fairly confident that even if it does more damage on headshots it probably like 2 damage instead of 1 damage lol.
@@raymurray3401 it does 1hp anywhere on the body, 0 damage on a fresh respawn in the air with spawn protection
That’s to bad, would’ve honestly been pretty funny if they had made it deal 2 damage with a headshot lol. Still crazy you had the patience to pull it off cause I swear I’d have probably given up after the 3rd or 4th failed attempt lmao.
So that’s why it’s called storm-ender!!!!

3 minutes is 180 seconds, takes 300 seconds to to 300 HP of damage, which is 5 minutes

There was a cut at 7:00 he got hp I don’t no if I’m seeing things but there’s a cut for some reason
as with every video I make many cuts to remove boring/dead time... you'll notice in that cut that my broken gas mask also disappears

not really, any dark grey/black operator will hide fine with a default no camo riot shield, just avoid bright colours and animations

Jamcowl or someone can you tell me how to fix my stims not working when I am in the zone for some reason
practise: fill your backpack with 10 stims as soon as you can, then go straight in the gas. Just sit there and focus on pressing your stim button AS SOON as you see the red chunk of damage first appear on your health bar. Get the timing down and you'll be able to reliably stim in the late game when you actually need to.
