Glad you didn’t stay long!! Looks like someone’s sleeping there now, not before it closed. From the looks of it I would say the Health Dept. shut it down. That seems to be common in Chinese buffets, the dining room is very clean but the kitchen/cooking area and bathrooms are disgusting. For years my daughter and I went to a Grand Buffet every week until someone put a picture on fb of a cockroach on the fish. It was real too, not photoshopped. Needless to say we’ve never been back. Hi Dane, they probably got shut down, if health inspectors get a complaint they just go to the place unannounced, if they don't like what they see then it's shut down immediately. The owners would have to tell customers to leave, then they will either start cleaning to get it back up to code or as these guys did they just leave it. Thanks for the explore. x

Probably codes violations. Seems like a lot of grease and things in the kitchen. Those things have to be kept clean otherwise they'll close the restaurant down until they get it cleaned up. Looks like a potential good place to have a restaurant again though. I thought it was kind of cool. I didn't see anything scary about it.

I know this for fact as my best friend, is a owner of a fabulous Chinese restaurant . You stay safe, while exploring.

Oh Man, You actually Opened that refridge... Hmm, seems they Did leave in a Hurry... Dam*, I Do/Did Love Chinese... Our 36 th Wedding Anniversary, was, in 2 days to happen from a local chinese restraunt...I feel a little creeped out...Lol !
Yes, that should be on the list of things urbexers shouldn't do: "Do NOT open that refrigerator!" Vacation cottage owners are warned not to leave the place before blocking the 'fridge door open. Even a few months _without_ anything left inside can still result in a horrible odor. My first apartment had been vacated by a family who'd left a large can of _something_ on the middle shelf of the 'fridge and gray furry stuff had built up inside, overflowed and hung from the shelf like evil Spanish moss, plus had climbed to the next shelf and spread over the middle of that one, too! I can't describe the "wonderful" aroma that greeted my nostrils when I first looked at it. I smeared Vicks Vapo-rub under my nose and donned disposable rubber gloves while disposing of the mess and cleaning the filthy thing.
