Video idea "How to structure a good training session" - freestyling for 2 hours at training gets you no where in a battle haha

Good video. I remember back in the days (probably 2005 ish) when air flares was THE powermove. If a dude get those he was totally gonna crush that battle. I agree that nowadays gets you zero points. But still is my white whale

Teaching an acrobatic move focusing only on the form, disregarding the muscolar actions, proprioception and the biomechanics, is prone to failure. The learning process will be much longer and frustrating.

i always advocate for doing a mixed approach, when learning anything (if there are multiple ways to learn something). Variety in training can speed progress. And i reckon the low method is bboy funts method?

I saw Bboy Kaio post a video of him doing super low airfares years ago. Think he removed it or made it private or something however.

second thing is when i do high airflares i feel it doesn't look like airflare and just looks like a normal handstand and even my friends and all says it looks like handstand more than a airflare.Any help you would suggest about this.

    Thank you,
Question what’s actually the head position when doing the airflare? Looking at your feet or the sky? Or etc?
I keep having my back arch , is it because of my head?

    • @CoachSambo
      @CoachSambo  3 роки тому

Tucking in during the walk-over, but not to much or to long. You don’t want your head distracting from the essence.

I think you should clarify the origin of airflare and that will answer the high vs low theories. Airflare was first developed as a kind of a throw within a flare. Check Bboy careca or Pablo, they do a "real airflare". ua-cam.com/video/_FkbUExgus8/v-deo.html. This starts from a flare, and as a result is a low throw (from the ground to the air). The speed you gain from the flare makes it easier to gain momentum for a crazy throw. This is in fact more dangerous and difficult to do, but back in the days that was how people did it, mad originality...
Now, what you are teaching is in fact an airtrack, which is a track (a precursor of a halo) in the air. This starts from a handstand position and involves "the hop" "the jump", jumping from a hand to the other. It is not that much of a "throw" gained from momentum or speed. And that is why it is easier to perform variations on it. You have more control. This is the same as an elbow TRACK, which involves a small jump from elbow to elbow and not much of a throw (because you don't have sufficient height nor speed for a throw). Moreover, it is very hard to do elbowflares and in these it is impossible to add a throw.
Basically, people started to call airflare to everything, which is ok, but they should really know the first origin of the move. I do agree the airtrack is the easier to begin with. Enjoyed the tutorial, keep it up!

Now these are the kind of comments I like to see on my Channel. You definitely red my mind on the origin. Wich I wanted to include in Part 2, together with ally variates, funny airfare fails and more.
Now I was even thinking of a FULL airflare guide. A 20 min that shares everything, such as an even more detailed tutorial. Besides that I want to add 3 students to the process, a kid, BGirl and adult. Showing their approach and path that they a taken to learn it.
Besides that I actually learned something very valuable here that I will start to mention more. Airtrack VS Airflare. Thank you for that.
I hope to meet some day.
      Peace and love.

I think in the same way. In fact a very hight airflare it`s also called Air twist. In my opinion I don`t like to call Air flare to all you do in the air
