I never clicked on a video so fast in my life. This was one of my favorite games during my childhood! Besides this was the only Kaiju fighting game I ever played so this game has a special place in my heart! Thank you so much for making a video on this game Max!

Play 'Godzilla: Save the Earth' next! That was my favorite game on the PS2 back when I was a kid.
Godzilla has a really fun game on the Wii that has a LOT of playable monsters. Not as many as the most recent game, but it's still really damn fun.
This Godzilla game actually has local multiplayer,unlike the one on PS4

the wii version had more memorable monsters but the motion kinda threw me off
both versions are worth a try though but Ps2 is more like Save the earth

Ah I remember playing this and the finishers and the announcer shouting RAGE and when I beat someone in a match I would walk Godzilla towards their character and the other player would go "okay, okay you won already leave my monster corpse alone!"
Maybe if you do save the earth (the sequel to this) you should download a 100% save beforehand so that you can use everyone off the bat

Megalonwas one of the most op characters for his ability to dig and hover
Actually he was one of if not the worst
Based on in game data, he's susceptible to regular hits (receives more knock back and damage), hits that would push other monsters send him flying
And you can outrun the digging for the entire duration, can just jump before youre grabbed, or run then just fly overhead until its done, and once it's done or even if you come out early, you're left vulnerable in a stun state

Theres a way to play this game competitively without all the gimmiks
The trick is mothership, indestructible buildings, and no powerups
The ring cant be destroyed and is a good enough size for fair fights
Save The Earth can do 4 player.
