Great Video. I’m moving to SA from NYC and this video is very very informative, your house would have been easily over a million US. As travel gets cheaper and the world is smaller, going back and forth from the US to SA will be easier and visiting SA will be easy. I just came back from SA and I love that. And rural SA is an opportunity for a better and simpler way of living. As long as you have a good internet connection and solar you can live good.
Thanks for the Video and continued success !!

Thanks for the breakdown. I am starting to build in SA hopefully in the fall. Luckily I have 3 brothers in SA who will oversee the project and I can still be in Canada and know that things are moving along. I am building in JHB area because that's where I am from. Hopefully after that I will be able to build another one in the rural area.

Hello and welcome to my channel. You have to sort immigration first but foreigners who are legal are able to buy land in rural area. There are landa governed by chiefs and there are land held by government. With government land you can purchase and with chief you go through a chief.

As a foreigner you can only buy land that’s not under tribal leadership(and that’s mostly urban land in all provinces of South Africa)…as you have to have tribal or ancestral links to most rural land in SA other than stolen white owned land used for commercial farming. So you won’t have access to ancestry linked land as you don’t belong to any SA tribe or clan…chiefs and kings only allow foreigners to rent houses from locals and even then you have to first report to the chief or induna to state your reasons for living there and “registering” your resigning there. you can buy privately owned rural land(this is minority of rural land)or government owned rural land(this does exist but again government doesn’t easily sell land as land is an unsettled issue in SA, need to first resolve it for indigenous ppl). I suggest you speak to immigration lawyers or immigration officers to get proper advice
