Not gonna lie I kept mumbling "I hate you" every time I had to unfold what took 10 minutes to fold, but .. thank you so much for this video! The giraffe looks great! Next time I'll use bigger-sized paper

Great model and instructions. It is a little tricky but start with a larger square and follow all the fold instructions exactly. May sure to use the fold guidelines for the reverse folds and keep looking the picture in the upper right hand corner.

I used giraffe print paper for this and it is very cute.
You are my favorite origami designer. What makes them special are their simplicity. The dragons that require only low-intermediate skill are impressive. Someone need only master the bases to be successful with many of your designs.

Thank you for this. It’s Ana amazing piece and along with many of your other creations I’d love to master it. My giraffe currently looks like a really long necked horse.
    Thank you ❤

I love the model, Jo, but I think if you use paper with a white side you should use a gray background or something, because it's kinda hard to see. Anyway, great video, as always!

So a) The lighting is so bright I can`t see the folds properly. The top right hand corner does not help
And b) Why, in ALL origami tutorials, so they fold so fast and flip so quickly at the hardest folds? You take forever on the first two folds and then explode on everything else to the point I have to pause it ever fourth second.

9 years late, but set playback speed to whatever suits you best. I’d alternate between .50 and .75 playback speeds

I'm so lost. So much folding & unfolding until I didn't know where the folds should be. I've just not gotten to this skill level yet I guess. Not at all easy

I don't know much about origami and I ordered some 5.9in by 5.9in (150x150mm) paper before even reseraching :(, would it work with that? Really want to make one of these for my girlfriend since its her favorite animal. Thanks.

It is very similar. But at the very beginning the third or fourth fold changes the dimensions of the finished model. You can see a similar technique used for the upright and four legged dragons where the neck is longer than.
