The way your brother acts around the pets you already have makes it clear he is destined to be a pet-dad. And he will be perfect with the kitten. I still can't get over the "man-cat cave" he made for Calcifer including the little pool table etc. That kitten hit the jackpot.
It's 4 am in India. I was mindlessly scrolling through UA-cam as I was having trouble sleeping. But the moment I saw your video.. oh boy the relief I felt. For a person who loves snow and winters, Emma you have no idea how much warmth and comfort you bring to us.

This is the sort of thing that makes me want to move to Canada. You can just retreat to the top of the world where it's silent, and beautiful, and you can see deer tracks in your own footprints in the snow.
I'm originally from Minnesota but have been living in the southwest US desert for most of my life, so I need you to know that your snow clips instill such a sense of peace and nostalgia in me and I really appreciate it. I miss the snow so much and haven't seen it since 2019, but I'm able to live vicariously through your videos! Also, I'm about 30% into the Count of Monte Cristo and I'm LOVING the drama. Thank you for making me pick it up!
Re: Monte Cristo... OMG! I have to say my favorite book EVER! I'm like half way through. This book is just wonderful through out the whole story, but while Edmond was in prison right before he meets Fabri and he has just basically given up all hope. I felt that. I could even smell and feel the prison. I also felt it HARD upon his first meeting of Abbe Fabri. There was a line in the book that says something like "two sighs together are like prayers, and prayers coming from two hearts are almost acts of grace..." WOW, just wow. I instantly wrote that on my bedroom wall. So beautiful, just like the rest of this book.

I had the chance to see the snow twice in my life and I never forgot about it, I dream about having this kind of winter days, reading and watching the snow fall, maybe one day! I love Like Water For Chocolate (and the film is pretty good too). I tried a couple of the recipes when I first read it back in the early 1990’s. The meals that Tita creates are so imbued with the emotions that she is experiencing while creating them that the people who then eat them experience the same thing.

I want to live where you are. I have a huge thing for nature as well and I love, love snow. I miss my snow, I moved to North Carolina from Michigan, but I miss my snow and winter so badly. I am jealous, because you are so lucky to have this much snow at the end of January.

The cottage in the woods looks so beautiful! I'd like to visit snowy woods some day, it looks so magical. Seeing it through a screen fills me with joy and excitement, I can't imagine how beautiful it must be irl.
I've seen that much snow only once in my life when I stayed in a small french city. I remember the cycle lane was completely frozen and that's also when I found out that stepping on snow makes krrr noises 😂
I read Invisible Cities by Calvino and I have to say, while I did not love the story, the writing is absolutely bewitching and actually perfect for the winter season. Very excited!

literally crying at how beautiful that snow is. I live in a part of the U.S. where we don’t see a lot of snow, but we got 9 inches two weeks ago. I went for a walk while it was snowing, and I swear, I’ve never felt more peaceful than that day in the snow. Converted for life now ❄️❄️❄️

Today I've finished The Count of Montecristo, so before starting Middlemarch, I think I could join the Around the World Challenge with Calvino's Why Read the Classics, that I already have at home 😊 Calcifer and Chino are adorable ❤
